    Kris, I have honestly never seen such a lovely place. The flowers were simply touchable through the screen of my phone. The peonies down to the irises it was just amazing to see such beauty. Thank you for allowing us the tour into a special place of such Grace and beauty. The journey was so luscious and amazing, thank you so much I just want you to know it's very much appreciated. I had a field similar a few years ago prior to a divorce and I miss those flowers so desperately my peonies and irises to be honest that's all miss 🤗 truly I do miss my beautiful flowers. This journey took me right back to that space the beautiful space. Those plants are very difficult to find and thus far I have not found them.
    Kris, Once again I sincerely thank you, Angela

    Greetings from Ireland, Great video and a beautiful garden, Its the bees knees. We have one peony rose that is over eighty years old in our front garden. My wife's grandmother passed away twenty years ago and she had a peony in her back garden. She left the house to my wife's younger brother who is a builder, he was planning to level the back garden with a bulldozer peony and all. My wife's mother saved two big tubers and gave one to us, and kept one for herself. We had bought a house around the same time and dug our first flower bed and that peony tuber was the first plant we planted in our bed. Every year it comes back with loads of big blooms.

    Your gardens are breath taking. How do you get all the peony 's to do you keep the ants from destroying the buds?

    • @GardenGateMagazine
      @GardenGateMagazine  2 года назад

      We’ve never known ants to destroy peony buds (but thrips, another tiny insect, will cause damage), and contrary to popular belief, they don’t help the buds open. Ants simply like the nectar that peonies have on the outer petals of their flowers. Ants will also deter other insects that might damage the buds. So don’t worry about ants, just shake or rinse them off before you bring cut peonies inside. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    That's really a perfect PEONIES- Garden....but when they 'flop' down (15:25)....just take a thin string and make a circle with it in 2/3rds of the plants height around the center of it's array and they will stand up again and you will have them like 'forever young' 😁

      @@lasmanicholls5840 I agree, it's so pretty! Kris mentioned Thomas Johnson so I researched his irises. He sells through Mid-America. I found one that looks very similar and ordered it last year. Look at 'Fashion Week' by Thomas Johnson and see if you agree. Of course, mine is planted but has not bloomed yet so I can't say if it's the same. But it does look close in photos, except in some photos it looks more lavender-mauve than pink.
