- Another day of teaching my best apprentice. this was a misfire that needed diagnosis.I was lucky enough to have the time to share with my son on this one. Needless to say I am a super proud dad
Авто/Мото
1 minute in and I just want to say awesome man
+ScannerDanner Hey Paul , really glad you enjoyed it and as always appreciate the support
!! Update!! At the turn where it enters the plastic loom housing the coil ground wire was stretched and almost completely broken in the insulation. Perhaps about 3 or 4 strands left of the 16 within. New section of wire just soldered in and all is well .
well done
New Level Auto switch the coild around to check before one buys a new one, is what I take away from this... thx for sharing. Btw there was no notification about this video, so youtube may also not fire on all cylinders today... ☺ Hope your assistant makes some pocket money...
New Level Auto outstanding man! Your a great Dad! We should all be taking notes. Love the logical explanations
robinsonsauto thanks Will your support means a lot to me and my son both . He subs you already btw
Nice job Keith. Good stuff working with your son. Maybe someday in the future he'll give you a discount when you need your personal car diagnosed! Thumbs up! Take care
this video was awesome. i'm a 32-year-old man, and I wish I could get everyone to teach me like I was a little kid, Learned a lot thanks!
Hahh I just love Roc! Such a good kid with a willingness to learn. You can tell he really admires you. Thanks for being a great dad even when the heat is on from the shops and your phone is blowing up with calls. Way to be a great example to all of us. Great teaching and diag btw ;)! Bravo sir!
+South Main Auto Repair much appreciated brother . HE also looks up to uncle Eric for his lessons as well when he's not riding with me.
Why look to me when he can learn from the true master!
Because You're Awesome Eric!
in a few years Roc, Trinity O and maybe one of paul danner's kids are going to be diagnostic millionaires. :)
@@NewLevelAuto i was wondering if someone put too much never seize on the threads.
Keith, what a Dad, you set an example for all Dad's. Your son is being taught right and your are not only passing on your automotive knowledge but you are teaching him how he will treat his children. Keep on fixing cars and raising a wonderful son...
SWFlorida Car Guy cannot even begin to type a response that would explain how much that means to me , so thank you is all I can say. 🤗
I don't know what's more awesome, you taking the time to pass your knowledge on to your son or him taking a genuine interest in what you do. Either way, the mini pimp hat is too cool. Well done, sir.
Your videos have changed my diagnostic procedures and have given me the ability to break through the plateau I hit in my career. I really appreciate everything. Thank you.
+Michael Herbert I really appreciate the support and great comments
Being a good tech is one thing, but being such a great dad is the treasure here. Coming from someone who had a very bad dad, congrats on being such a good dude I respect the hell out of you.
GREAT VIDEO , YOUR SON IS A BORN TECH MY FRIEND . PLEASE KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK .
Keith, not only are you a great diagnostician, but you are a great dad as well.
+David Murray I really appreciate that . Always trying my best .
Never seen a fault on coil with bad earth. Great diagnosis and good feedback from your sidekick.
Great job in teaching him the right way to fix a problem.
the Father and son team is great, the single parent family is ruining America, your son is learning so much, thats what parent are for, Love and guidance .
Your a great teacher Kieth, I really like the way you make him think and use his brain.
Nice work fellas.
Carl Ford thanks again . I do my best , hope it sticks for him as well
Always two there are, a master and an apprentice...
Glad to see your son show an interest in this and he has a very good teacher. Thanks for sharing the videos and hope to see you in chicago.
Techman 48917 just look for the hat!
So easy a kid could understand it. Well done and thanks for the Update on the fix. This scenario might have been the fix at some shops : new coil, new plugs, new computer...
+Nick Nicu truthfully I think you're right. A whole lot of my jobs start off as having me come in to program a ecm or other module for them . When I'm finished most of the time it changes over to me diagnosing the original problem. Glad you liked the video and thanks again for the support
The "Keith Magic Touch". It's a beautiful thing! Great job guys!
That kid could almost understand what you were saying to him. It was great to watch him try and grasp it. Just a little bit more experience and it'll click for him, I'm sure.
+The Thomas he asks so many questions after the video , that I believe he really did get it
Awesome.....just freakin awesome.....Have ya ever bought a record or cd for one particular song and after listening to the whole album you find a song you end up liking more than the one you bought it for? Well... thank you Ivan and Eric for introducing me to this special song about a dad and his son. The automotive knowledge, although second to none, plays second to the love and affection shown and felt here...Awesome... just freakin awesome...
kenneth brown well I thank both of them for sending an awesome person like you my way as well. Really appreciate the kind comment
Great diagnosis from the young fella. At least you were there to hold the camera. What a team 😎
Badgertronix one day I hope that's all I'll need to do is be the cameraman. Thanks as always for watching and supporting. Can't wait to see lil Charlie out there doing the same 😉
Those teaching moments w/ the kids are the best memories in life. Honda's hate corrosion and this brings lots of weird thing w/ the electronics. Great video, I learn something new today!
Keith, I'm sure it's hard for you to upload videos due to your hectic schedule, but please know I learned more today about Fathers and Sons than engine misfires and diagnosis. Please keep them coming!
+cusomano76 I will do my best , thanks for watching
Great video, love your sons enthusiasm, and desire to learn. He loves being with his dad. That is awesome!
Top man bringing your boy along Keith. I wish my son showed an interest, I have so much to share with him. Great video on the fundamentals as well 👍
great video Keith, it's remarkable that we teach our young with what is the newest and greatest to us & in 10 to 15 years down the road they're teaching us with their newest and greatest, keep up the great video's
You are an incredible teacher!
+Rob Carstuff thanks very much. Just want my son to have a good set of fundamentals to start with
Great to see Rocky helping with another diagnosis. My favorite is your " whoa Dude", that is my expression to my grandsons. Plus the hat is a great touch. Keep up the good work, you and Rocky.
I like the way you were explaining it to your son because it meant I could understand and follow along too lol
Loving the vids Keith .Thanks for sharing .Cannot get enough diagnostic vids ..Love em all lol.Great teaching vid ,very clear .Glad your'e son is taking an interest in this field he will be a very good tech if he keeps it up with such a great teacher behind him.
+martinguitarhd28 really appreciate that . Doing the best I can to make that happen for him
Awesome video again, thanks for sharing. Your kid will go far one day!
+Vehicle Tech Tim Hey Tim, thanks as always for all the support! He also says thank you
kid is going to have some serious skills.
NCPDFSB I certainly hope so because the game is only about to get more interesting . Thanks again
This video made my day for two reasons. First, the technical problem was diagnosed correctly and I learned from your step-by-step analysis. Second, the next time I have an opportunity to teach my child or grandchild, I will remember how you put things in terms a child can understand and the patience you had.
This video is very educative and inspirational. That boy is doing great, the way he catches stuff is just amazing. Having your boy spend time with you at work while having fun doing it is something he will embrace for life. You guys rock Keith.
A good keen apprentice, he'll learn a lot. Well done.
Great video ! Super awesome dad for involving your son in such a positive manner as well.
Man - that kid has better troubleshooting skills than a lot of techs I've dealt with.
Tim Burke for the amount of effort he puts in , I know this compliment means a lot to him and myself
Great video. Thanks for sharing. I had a great Dad; your instruction and interaction with Roc reminds me of how Pop would teach me 50 years ago!
What a blessing to have you as a father. Great video, maybe my favorite of all time. God bless!
Job well done Keith and apprentice!
Great work thanks for sharing, also brilliant seeing you being patient and explaining it all to your boy and him engaging so well, you should be proud well done👏👏
+Richard McWhirter thanks again for watching and supporting
Start em young Keith, and love the hats..Peace. G O D B L E S S A M E R I C A....
+Bill Long yes sir God bless America . AND thank you as always for all the support
Hey Keith. It's Jon, the guy with all the piercings from automechanika. Thanks again for the chats. It was great to meet and talk with the man who has seen everything haha. See you at the next show!
+GODxDAMxLITRExOxCOLA awesome man , it was great meeting you as well. Hope to see you at the next one too🤜🤛
Wow I'm extremely late to this party! Turns out, I needed to click the bell icon and check the box! DOH ...
Great vid Keith - your son will be a master tech before he even hits high school. ;) If there were more dads like you out there, the world would be MUCH better off. :)
Love to see you and your son intervening with knowledge. What a lesson of life for him to always remember. Thanks for a great simple video.
+Robert Davis appreciate that. I love having him along with me
You sir are top tech and an even better dad. Bless you and your son.
Great video I always learn something when i watch your videos. Thanks
Thank you for watching me and my father!
Tremendous. Not only passing your skill set onto your son, but also the skill set to teach thousands of others! This is one of the most enjoyable and educational car diagnosis videos I've come across on YT.
Awesome video Keith. Teaching your son a very useful skill. He seems to be grasping it well also!
This is a great example of how a test light can send you in the wrong direction. Just cause the test light lights up doesn't mean the circuit is good. Thanks.
Best thing in the world is Father an Son time especially teaching him at a young age.Great Video, and keep up the good work.
+Brady's Tools! Thanks again for watching
New Level Auto You're Welcome.
You are a good dad.
+Pat Ward thanks Pat that means a whole lot to me
Glad to see your son helping and learning from the Best dad!! People too often change parts without dedicating the time to check at least the circuit.
That is a very smart and intuitive kid just like his father! I hope to live long enough to subscribe to your son's channel in the future!
Great Video. It brings back memory's of my grandfather teaching me how to work on things.
You got a really good boy there, brother, its awesome that your teaching him.
Russell David I feel lucky that he enjoys it !
Rocco your the man! Keep up the good work and learn everything you can from dad. I love the hat!
Great father and son video, Keith. It brought back some memories of when my kids were young and would hang out with Dad. Thank you for sharing!
Joe Coleman those are the memories we live for. I'm sure those kids remember them well
Great video as always! I hadn't thought about monitoring for a voltage spike while touching the test light to ground, neat idea! Love seeing Roc being involved, he's sure is a great apprentice. I'm very impressed with his level of interest and engagement.
As always, another interesting and informative video. Thank you for sharing.
Always nice to see your son in the video; a nice young man with a good father.
Nice hat Rocky. It looks familiar.
+Andrew K yes sir , official uniform when he's out with me 😁. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Great video Keith, such a lot covered in a short time, bet your son took it all in, really well explained to him,
AWESOME WORK KIEITH!! You got a hell of a good helper with you!!!
Your son is a sharp young man. And to have the possibility to learn from a master dad like you, that's priceless.
Any chance you could adopt me? 👍
+Dylan no problem, but you'll have to work for your allowance as well
Oh I'll work sir! 😎
Great video brother! I bet having Roc with you makes all these headaches much more bearable especially with the way he catches on to what you’re saying.. He’s definitely gonna be a force to be reckoned with when he’s older! Good job Keith!
The boy makes the videos........Again man your the best example of what a father is.
Top notch. Quite the classic diagnosis Keith. Someone threw a coil on it without confirming if it was actually the coil. I'm only a DIYer who looks at cars as a favour and I see this sort of thing quite often...
+zoidberg444 yes and it is always because they forget the basics. Thanks for watching and supporting
Nice easy Diag, and it is awesome that you are teaching your son and the world:)
+Flatrate Master thanks Mike . Really appreciate the support !
No problem Keith, I gave you a shout out, used you as an example in my upcoming rant video out on wednesday :) too
Thank you for starting with videos on RUclips, Keith. Also, great parenting and teaching. Don't let you tell otherwise by some haters. ;-)
I loved your interaction with your kid, he's very smart!
I love to see that your son wants to learn more and more.
Good morning Keith. Will be watching the vid later..thanking you in advance. Handsome boy you have there. My boy is 30 😔
Right when I almost lost all hope in this world and then I see this video. Great Job dad! Your son will be a great mechanic some day. Keep up the great work guys:)
Great team work
+Shaun Blakemore thanks very much!
Awesome team work and great diagnosis. This is great example were many shops would replace coil and send it to dealer not knowing what to do next. Cheers my friend.
ramon ruzic thanks so much Ramon, always happy that you liked it. And yes it's why we have to test each and everytime
the kid is lucky. Learning skill form the best.
+Diagnostic Enthusiast thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Thanks for lovely video. Was nice to follow it, teaching style is awesome, makes it very easy. Wish you would make some motorcycle diagonistic videos too.
Greetings from India!!
Diagnosis was excellently presented. Love the hat on Rock 👍
+Grumpy's Garage thanks , the hat is part of the NLA uniform 😉
Thank you Keith. You are truly blessed.
+Harry Yoder l feel blessed everyday to have him with me . And blessed by having great viewers like you as well . Thanks again
Nice one Keith . This I can follow along with . Nice presentation.
STEVE ROB if you like it then I am happy sir. Sometimes teaching my kid helps me to teach others as well
+steve rob Ditto!
New Level Auto When ONE teaches TWO learn, good to see New Little Level with you 🤙🏼
I feel like the kid while watching your videos , thanks for sharing
+JOGO hahaha. I figured if I could teach him maybe it would teach someone else as well
Another great job Daddy! Other Daddy's should take note :)
+Niamh Healy thanks again for watching and supporting. I do my best as a Dad hopefully I'm doing it right
It's always enjoyable to watch you, Leon, Eric, Rob and others take the time to teach your son's or helpers . Nice diagnosis Keith & importance of loading a circuit. I bust out the thermal imaging camera every chance I get to find the bad section of wire. Great video Keith and Rocky!
Hayward's Automotive thanks Bob , yeah thermal camera would be nice but low amperage and a hot engine would have made this thermal image tough . It was within a plastic loom cover
Yep it's only good in certain situations and conditions. Love the interest Rocky has...you can tell he wants to remember everything you've taught him. Great job all around especially as a Dad!!
Really cool to see you both spending valuable time together! Started my boys(5 of them), and one of the girls the same way. 2 eldest (boy n girl) are sort after techs now years on.
They just soak it up at this age, if dad sounds enthused they just love being around the problem solving!
I to was my dad's shadow around fixing cars.
Just have to compete with all the laws and legal restrictions around this now though.
Great video Keith...cool kid there too! I have four of my own, had 70 foster kids in the 90s and coached over 1000 in various sports over the years. Hope I did as well teaching them as you did there. New to the channel, looking forward to more of your vids.
+Joe Mikos many kudos to you sir. Those 160 kids definitely will take something from the time with you. And very happy to have you as a sub
Rock is a pretty smart fella there Keith! I'm sure that in a few years, he'll be teaching the Dad a few things. :) And nice diagnostics on finding the bad wire.
Excellent explanation Keith 👍🏼
Great job teaching your boy love it !!!
I learn a lot from your vids now I need the scanners and scope to put my newly found knowledge to practice.
Another great progressive diagnosis strategy Keith, a pleasure to watch, I would love to spend a couple of days with you, cheers Paul from the UK.
+Paul Lane anytime to make it here to NYC you are more than welcome. Thanks for the compliment and for watching and commenting
Excellent vid there Keith your boy is getting a great education ,
chris90 thanks again , he loves to learn, and I love teaching him
Outstanding job dad.
Excellent class work, how to detect a cause of misfire and as a tip, (DIY) being good dad! Very well done!
moral of the story, sometimes a scope on a rope, just isn't enough. thanks for sharing. great job kid!
Thank You!
Great Video, keep up the good work!
+Ray Milligan thanks , glad you enjoyed it
Great video Keith. Just goes to show a bad ground cannot always be found with a test light either. I bet it would've shown itself with a head light bulb though ;) Good to see you and Rocco working together!
+farmboy30117 the headlight would most likely show dim , but as another commenter said the " Don King hair spikes" are a great visual for the video ☺
Loved the video. Well done Dad.
Great video Keith!!!! I wish I could hold my sons attention for more then 10 seconds, your a lucky man....
bross 956 you'll find it , the one thing that will make you both click on something. Sometimes it's just not cars , but the love will always be unbreakable. Thanks for watching and supporting as always
Cool, had me scratching my head for a while as all coils shared the same earth and one/no2cyl was bad earth, so yes break or tear had to be close by the no 2 and wolla "read the update"good explaining Keith..
good to see your kid around you,not so good about the rain and getting wet.
stigonutube a little rain never hurt anyone , unless their mom was watching the video 😁
hahahaha true true, wink
Nice video! Its always good to learn at a young age.
+Jared Stieg their minds are like little sponges at his age. Best time to enforce a good work ethic and values. Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment
Congrats to the team🙌
juergen scholl we both thank you as always
