!! Update!! At the turn where it enters the plastic loom housing the coil ground wire was stretched and almost completely broken in the insulation. Perhaps about 3 or 4 strands left of the 16 within. New section of wire just soldered in and all is well .

It's always enjoyable to watch you, Leon, Eric, Rob and others take the time to teach your son's or helpers . Nice diagnosis Keith & importance of loading a circuit. I bust out the thermal imaging camera every chance I get to find the bad section of wire. Great video Keith and Rocky!

Hayward's Automotive thanks Bob , yeah thermal camera would be nice but low amperage and a hot engine would have made this thermal image tough . It was within a plastic loom cover

Yep it's only good in certain situations and conditions. Love the interest Rocky has...you can tell he wants to remember everything you've taught him. Great job all around especially as a Dad!!

Really cool to see you both spending valuable time together! Started my boys(5 of them), and one of the girls the same way. 2 eldest (boy n girl) are sort after techs now years on.
They just soak it up at this age, if dad sounds enthused they just love being around the problem solving!
I to was my dad's shadow around fixing cars.
Just have to compete with all the laws and legal restrictions around this now though.

Great video Keith...cool kid there too! I have four of my own, had 70 foster kids in the 90s and coached over 1000 in various sports over the years. Hope I did as well teaching them as you did there. New to the channel, looking forward to more of your vids.

Great video Keith. Just goes to show a bad ground cannot always be found with a test light either. I bet it would've shown itself with a head light bulb though ;) Good to see you and Rocco working together!

+farmboy30117 the headlight would most likely show dim , but as another commenter said the " Don King hair spikes" are a great visual for the video ☺
