Haha, Awesome to see someone else put it together! I went through so many iterations trying to get something to work, I'm amazed anyone can put it together at all. Couple things I noticed when hearing you: 1) In the design iterations I had to add those bumps to the middle claw so the trigger/brake would work. I, like you, enjoyed torquing up the claw spring so it pops out harder, but even at normal torque the claws were slipping through the brake mechanism at first. That's why I printed the claws upright initially, to get the layer line friction. But this was before adding ridges on the middle claw and brake mechanism. I just never went back to printing non-vertical, but definitely should change that. 2) I tried to explain this in the horrible instructions I put on the site, but I actually kind of torque the brake springs, buy loading the mechanism on the inside of the claw holding pillar and then pulling it over to the front. More importantly than the torque, this gives the mechanism some clearance from the box so that pulling down on the trigger more effectively releases the claws. Hopefully that makes some sense. That whole mechanism, I have been experimenting with for updates. 3) This was definitely made initially for my son, even using a 3d photogrammetry scan of his hand to fit it to his hand. But Bigger claws and hand strap are definitely a great idea and, scaling everything would probably work. So fun to see, great feedback and insights too. Thank you so much!
Flip the vase over and fill it with the transparent ooze they had Wolverine in when that added the Adamantium to his skeleton… the leds shining up underneath that will diffuse and make a nice mood light for Home theater. 😆 good luck, I know you want to try it now 😉.
G'day uncle jess ol son.....im happy to say i won a Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro over xmas on a story telling comp on Elegoos FB page, its my first modern printer since my ol modded Ender 3 v2. Ive had to start learning klipper, and making new settings for this and all my filaments. But im happy i entered the comp (im usually wasting my time or i dont have the qualifications) and has allowed me to build my PA Enclosure and Omni projects quicker. Cheers for being a great uncle to this 50yr old bloke and showing me Elegoos high standards from A M8 here Downunder🙃
I got a can of silver spray paint that would just look so tight on both creations there my friend...awesome work.....I just got through making 2 short movies with my son as Deadpool and my dad as Wolverine and finished the second one yesterday and i brought marvel and dc together in it cant put on RUclips for copyright i assume it would be anyways.....this video just topped that off for me lol made my video better to see this...again awesome work my friend keep it up👍👍👍👍👍
I like the idea of "lifting the arm" as well! I would use clear glass or acrylic tubes to prop the arm up and make it look like its floating. Then I would paint the top and bottom pieces to look like a lightly blue tinted metal with red LEDs in the top. I rhink LEDs in the bottom might make the clear peices holding the bones up be more noticable. Just a thought..
I would illuminate it from the top and bottom. For the bottom you can put led strips in the groove the cylinder slides into, I think that would give it a cool effect.
You should put the light in the top portion, i think itll look cooler if the light shines down plus you get the added bonus of hiding the wires neatly. Also for the base if you can make it rotate slowly i think would make it EVEN cooler!
I’m currently working in the arm myself. All printed on my P1S’s. Just finished wet sanding yesterday, starting the base coats this week. Gonna form my own tube out of a sheet of plexi.
An idea for the lighting would be to buy a circular light that sits at the bottom and lights up the entire circle evenly which would also act as a riser or buy two, one at the top. Those cheap USB lights come in every shape and size. I bought two a few months ago for a weird plastic clear tube I got that I thought might make an attractive light to always have on the toilet as an ambient light at night. You can get just as cheap motion sensing ones too so it lights up only when you approach it which makes a battery or rather rechargable light a good long term solution without having a cable coming off it. Super ideal for those central places like a coffee table where a cable is just not possible. I'd love to see this all chromed up and finished!
I used my Bambu Lab X1-Carbon with a 0.4mm nozzle. Printed really well. Also on the X1C, I printed the claws vertically and still printed fine. Mind you, the printer is probably heavier cause it is enclosed.😂
Very impressive. Never knew you could 3d print springs. How would one go about 3d printing a ratchet joint without using any metal springs? The claws look very cool, as does that arm display piece.
I was wondering, how did you get the files to orca slicer If the files are preset to bamboo lab only. Because I was trying to print them on a Neptune 4 max and it kept going straight to the profile for bamboo
Great videos. I have purchased several of your figures. Could you do a video on how to separate one of your figures to be able to print bigger. I have a Neptune 4 plus and would like to print a T-Rex larger than my print bed. Or, if you could provide files with parts separated. Thanks
That is so funny you made a video about these. I saw them about a week ago on maker world and printed them. I think they are very cool but mine didn't actually work that well
I'm sorry if I'm asking this under this video, but how much does a resin printer lcd screen last? I wanted to buy mono 6xs but I'm afraid that the screen it's not going to last and the replacement is a little bit expensive
5:15 Shame there isn't a way to make them non-brittle as well as not require that chord thing you pull. Really hard to roleplay when you have to manually retract them with your other hand once you're no longer in a combative scene for the LARP session with buddies or official LARP communities.
Me being so nerdy that I can tell the first set of claws were modeled after how they appear in The Wolverine because that’s the only movie where the top of the claws have a flat surface
I've looked at hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of different styles of Wolverine claws and nobody makes them properly I have yet to find a pair that are comic book accurate that is the pair I want
Yeah and Disney can't help but attack the childhood nostalgia of the people who made them billions and billions and now, Now your voter target demographic isnt enough to stop the backlash of bad creative choices.
if these elagoo printers are supposed to be the dogs b???cks in printers why are you using glue sticks to get the prints to stick to the magnetic build plate that you keep raving about
Had my N4+ for 5 days before I packed it up and am sending it back. Didn't pay retail amount for alpha quality hardware. Too bad... I love their resin printers..

You did an awesome job on these files! They are so dang fun to play with
Sir your design is simply brilliant. 10/10!
Flip the vase over and fill it with the transparent ooze they had Wolverine in when that added the Adamantium to his skeleton… the leds shining up underneath that will diffuse and make a nice mood light for Home theater. 😆 good luck, I know you want to try it now 😉.
I like the idea, but wouldn't it be super heavy?? Maybe just "tint" the glass to look like it's in a liquid.. 🤔🤔🤷♂️🤷♂️
Put water in it

Looks awesome! Those springs work great; I'm really impressed!
Really like this. Would love to see more innovative 3d print showcases.

yessss! Those are awesome!

That arm is very cool. Looking forward to seeing this complete with some LEDs in the case.
That is a sick print. Can't wait to see the final painting of the claw and bones.
I would illuminate it from the top and bottom. For the bottom you can put led strips in the groove the cylinder slides into, I think that would give it a cool effect.
Ohhh i like the idea of the LEDs going into those slots
50 years of Wolverine this year

Very cool. I’ll need to print some claws for myself!
I’m currently working in the arm myself. All printed on my P1S’s. Just finished wet sanding yesterday, starting the base coats this week. Gonna form my own tube out of a sheet of plexi.
You should try giving it a chrome finish and illuminating it with white light!
This popped up in my feed last night and I've been debating on printing it lol
Wassup brotha! Tks for the tips on the Diggro repairs. Love the content! Keep killing it!
That turned out great! Nice work!
Thanks a bunch!
I found your channel about a week ago. So far every video has been extremely helpful

Do one light as yellow and the other as blue to illuminate the tube and give his uniform colors theme to it. Great video
Did you finish the giant Magneto statue?
So cool! I'm glad you liked the scraper 🙂
Scraper worked awesome
Yeah, looked perfect!@@UncleJessy
Very impressive. Never knew you could 3d print springs. How would one go about 3d printing a ratchet joint without using any metal springs?
The claws look very cool, as does that arm display piece.
I think you should do all the above! LED lights, raised arm, etc.
Try a floating effect... Have everything float with a light at the bottom beaming up
Cool project
on the top you should add LEDs.
I think you should try to do a water filled vase with LEDs and a bubble pump. It would look so sick and unique, no one would have anything like that.
Wait! So do you ever show us what the final look of the skeleton claws? I so want to see that all painted up and lite!
I think printing in a metallic silk would be nice.
It would take a lot but, pouring epoxy resin and put some led in top and bottom would be awesome
Use transparent PETG for the base, maybe slice it in two parts so just the inner part is transparent however.
I just discovered your channel and it’s Electric!!!!
Lights up and down!
The other day transformers, today wolverine🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 content
Print with ASA or PC, and they'll be deadly.
Damn, have to get a resin printer soon.
RGB FTW Uncle from another country!!! can we expect it in the next video? hahaha
Put water, bubbles & lights in like Wolverine getting his adamantium from lab.
Any configuration/settings for the "rapid" PETG that we should know about? (flow rate, temp, etc.) Thanks!
Now I want get a glass vase and put a terminator arm in it thanks for video
Don’t forget he’s getting he’s own game.
I was wondering, how did you get the files to orca slicer If the files are preset to bamboo lab only. Because I was trying to print them on a Neptune 4 max and it kept going straight to the profile for bamboo
How about leds in both top and bottom?

Lights from the bottom makes more sense if it were to mimic a real specimen display?
Are those claws sharp?
Looks great maybe could be stronger bought some parts at hardware store claws defiantly could be longer
I love ur content keep it up
you can pour in glycerin, that would make light refract better
Cool
Do they have one that’s like those swords/lightsaber that fold in and out with a flick?
That is so funny you made a video about these. I saw them about a week ago on maker world and printed them. I think they are very cool but mine didn't actually work that well
Claws need to be bigger, but cool!
might want to add silicone grease
We have a similar pfp
Sickkk
Would be cool if ya could narrow down the blades below the wrist so they can be hidden better if ya wanna use them for cosplay.
imagine having a 3d printer in the 90s.
hey uncle, is PETG the best filament to use for cosplay?
That will definitely hold up the best, is easier to sand and is more heat resistant. That said, I still mostly print with PLA
I'm sorry if I'm asking this under this video, but how much does a resin printer lcd screen last? I wanted to buy mono 6xs but I'm afraid that the screen it's not going to last and the replacement is a little bit expensive
Do a cosplay as wolverine! And put the claws under the sleeves!
If you could make it retract, these would be great.
Just started watching, so maybe you touch on this later, but I have had bad luck with HF PETG. It's very fragile. More than HF PLA PLUS.
COOL!
is there an update on your magneto statue?
Do you sell them if so how much I love them
What about the T-800 arm from Terminator2 movie in that display tube.
5:15 Shame there isn't a way to make them non-brittle as well as not require that chord thing you pull. Really hard to roleplay when you have to manually retract them with your other hand once you're no longer in a combative scene for the LARP session with buddies or official LARP communities.
🔥 I don’t have a 3D printer. Where can I buy a completed sent ?!!!
can you make a deadpool Mask out of tpu and then it could have that cool part that he tucks into his suit to make it tighter
Me being so nerdy that I can tell the first set of claws were modeled after how they appear in The Wolverine because that’s the only movie where the top of the claws have a flat surface
claws probably need to be a few inches longer
You should put water in it
I've looked at hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of different styles of Wolverine claws and nobody makes them properly I have yet to find a pair that are comic book accurate that is the pair I want
Lava lamp
can you make a step by step video so i can make it for my brother on halloween
Those look too short for the wolverine cosplay I have in mind.... Other than that the system is amazing
You could scale them up a bit in cura
use a rotating base!!!!
The X openings project X ...X MEN opening I see
Longer claws
LONGER YESSS!
Id put some liquid in it and add a light to the bottom to make everything pop.
I installed the app, when I download the claws file why does it ask me for the printer qr code?!
Привет из Украины 😊 Вау крутая печать такой вещи😊
Now, if only they were about a foot long
first nice
his claws go shink not snikt
T-800 clay
haha exactly
Uncle Jessy are you G.I. Joe fan?
I wish I had a 3D printer! I'd love to do an X-23 varient ( ◜‿◝ )♡
that is pretty cool but all i could not stop looking at is that gray in your eye lash . shave that off lol
He clearly has Vitiligo, even if he “shaved it off” it’ll just grow back like that. It’s just how his skin is, and there’s nothing wrong with it.
@@extraaccount496exactly bro, what he looks like should be no matter to them, and to say lol like it’s funny 💀
Why are being a weirdo
Yeah and Disney can't help but attack the childhood nostalgia of the people who made them billions and billions and now, Now your voter target demographic isnt enough to stop the backlash of bad creative choices.
Do a sexy bodysuit cosplay to go along with it 🫢
Who has white eyelashes?
if these elagoo printers are supposed to be the dogs b???cks in printers why are you using glue sticks to get the prints to stick to the magnetic build plate that you keep raving about
My post was deleted, wonder why 🤫. Neptune 4's have issues. Do your research before committing.
All printers have issues. Anyone who believes any one model or brand is always flawless is fooling themselves
True but even then, printers upwards of $1k also have issues.
Had my N4+ for 5 days before I packed it up and am sending it back. Didn't pay retail amount for alpha quality hardware. Too bad... I love their resin printers..
huh? I don't delete comments unless people are being racist etc youtube does auto hide comments that it flags for manual review
My post was vanilla as can be other than saying the printer has issues. No cussing or links etc. Just wanted to make the community aware.
this 3d print is absolute crap. Barely works, breaks on one of my first tries. 1 star.
man the video is constantly out of focus, hard to see whats going on
