- We are continuing to improve products everyday and today is no different. While our pyramid slides aren't brand new, they are newly improved coming in at 25% less weight than a factory slide.

In The Volunteer State, in order for business owners to prohibit patrons from carrying firearms they must comply with specific notice requirements, and most don't. (Signs must be posted at all entrances with the phrase "NO FIREARMS ALLOWED" measuring 1 inch tall and 8 inches wide, the phrase “As Authorized by T.C.A. § 39-17-1359.” and a visual representation of the phrase no firearms-a “circle with a diagonal line through the circle and an image of a firearm inside the circle under the diagonal line” with the diagonal line at a 45-degree angle from the upper left to the lower right side of the circle. The entire image must be at least four inches high and four inches wide.) Unless the notice meets all of those requirements, the prohibition is not enforceable.
Although violation of the prohibition is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of $500, I haven't heard of it ever being enforced. The worst you might expect is an invitation to leave the premises, and a charge of trespassing if you don't.

Was recently at Glockstore facility servicing their new integrated CNC. Amazing job they do behind scenes with the slides. QC is well controlled and they spend $$ on premium materials. Great gallery and Range too!
From a guy that is been at many shops with hands on their CNC I would definitely recommend them.

The glock store did an optic cut on my glock 19 and mounted a green dot optic, done a great job,and their right,it will make you a better shooter,did me............And actually i got mine back before 10 days,no joke,i was super impressed.................

I traded in my Glock 48 today for a Glock 19 gen 3. I couldn’t be happier, I’ve realized I prefer a double stack Glock.
Not for capacity, I just shoot it better and I like the grip more.
it looks like it’s way thicker but it’s honestly not that much more thick, less than half a knuckle, and like you said just much easier to shoot and feels good in hand
@@williamgray9692 I know the micro 9mm is all the craze these days, but I just don’t like shooting these little guns.
They’re easy to carry, but you’re right - a little added thickness helps me a lot in accuracy. I’ll probably keep my Glock 19.
I was excited when I heard about the Glock 43. But then I lost interest completely once I found out it only held seven rounds and got my hands on it. At the time I was carrying a Ruger lc9s, and it seemed to have a better trigger and was thinner with one extra round.
Currently, My 26 carries 11 rounds and is only slightly larger and a little heavier. Losing the ability to use my 15 and 17 round mags as a backups is also a big deal.
I agree. I just bought the 19 mos gen 5 for the new holosun scs. Instead of the new sig 365x macro that holds 17. I will probably get it once more holsters come out. I carry the 43x mos in the summer though. I can admit I shot my 19's way more accurate.

That sig has you worried, I have 2 SIGs and 2 Glocks. My glocks are my “go to war” weapons “if a war breaks out” sigs are what I’ve always wanted

Hey Lenny, Love your videos and store. I have a questions. Doesn't a lighter slide cause the gun to jump more? I thought the reason for installing a tungsten guide rod was to add weight and hence cause it to be easier to control and bring back on target. Looking to purchase the pyramid trigger for my 43x mos soon. Thanks and stay healthy!

@@stoneblue1795 well, for one, if you get the complete slide it's 600 bucks plus tax... So you're going to spend almost 200 dollars more than you can buy a new 43X for?? Unless you plan on swapping every part in the slide, every time you "change guns"... Who the hell would do that, just to sometimes run and optic, and sometimes not...
Hell, you can literally spend another 100-150 bucks more than what they are asking for their stripped, unfinished slide, and HAVE two guns... For 150 bucks less than a complete finished slide, you can buy a Glock MOS...
Hey, if you want to drastically over pay for something... You don't have to justify it for anybody. But that doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on your level of common sense.

The Glock 43x is so snappy.. I love it but I carry my m9a4 or gen 5 17. I guess I figured if I’m going to be inconvenienced by a gun, I don’t want it to be while I’m shooting.

Enjoyed the video. I like to feel the weight of a handgun as otherwise I get worried it fell out of it's holster or I left it somewhere, so am constantly patting it to see if it is still there, which is bad for peace of mind and gives away the fact that I am carrying concealed. Also hate lightweight guns that feel like toys as they don't inspire confidence. I want something that feels solid and would make a good impact weapon. I like the 9mm Ruger SP101 3" best for belt carry.

Question. For a CCW I don't see the point of using anything other than a laser. Virtually all self-defense instances happen within a very close range. I know because two kids attempted to hold me up as I was leaving an outdoor pay phone and they were within a few feet. I stupidly refused to give them my wallet and naively raised my hands expecting a fist fight. They just pulled out a gun, shot me point blank in the chest, and ran off. The premium is on rapidly pulling a weapon and firing it accurately ASAP. Fractions of a second count. At close range (i.e. 99% of the time) that means firing it as soon as you withdraw the weapon from your holster and can aim it with a laser. The use of iron (or optical) sights makes sense if you have some distance between you and the assailant (plus possible cover) but that's not generally the situation in most criminal encounters. Do my thoughts make sense? I have never heard anyone offering this type of advice but it seems obvious to me.

@@Belacose-HOGG It wasn't the shot that hurt me. I didn't feel a thing. I looked down and saw a red dot on the left side of my chest and calmly drove myself to Martin Luther King Hospital in South Central LA. It was the surgery that hurt. The bullet just missed the heart, went through the liver, and had to be removed from my right kidney (I rotated when I saw the gun). I have a 12 inch scar from my belly button to my sternum and wound up with four tubes going in and out of me for a week or so. I went back to work as a carpenter five weeks later but I really couldn't do any sit ups for about a year. What's the lesson? If you shoot someone in the chest that probably won't stop them from returning fire before they are neutralized as a threat. Depending on the distance go for the space between the eyes and the mouth if you are close enough for an accurate shot. Otherwise it's a double shot to center mass followed by a headshot if the threat remains. That's standard training. A very serious related issue is training yourself to act within the legal use of lethal force within a fraction of a second. Lengthy debate is not an option. Aiming for an arm or a leg? That's wonderland fantasy stuff. Good luck.

Hey when is glock going to update the magazines for the 43X the aftermarket ones are getting 15rd for the magazines? Just wondering when Glock is going to make the move, of course you have to switch out the release button to a metal one for the 15rders but hey the more the better! Liking this 43X a lot thinking about traded up for this one! ;) Glock for Life! Baby!

My thoughts exactly. Timing is everything in autos - does the mag spring move the next round reliably into the chamber with the factory recoil spring?

I sent my 43x slide to Nashville for the optic cut (Holosun) and love it. Wondering if this lighter slide will more easily trigger legal liability due to a "modified" firearm? The slide cut might actually do that as well I guess?
My department will not allow me to use this slide. (off duty) I can only modify grips and sights. Sucks!

I own and carry a 17 gen 3 and I’m looking into getting a 43x or a 43
Hey my fellow gun nerds.... I've heard that a genuine, OEM Glock 43/43X slide will NOT fit on a polymer 80 frame due to the rear locking rails.... Anyone know if this is true before I go for it? I'm a fan of the original slide but not a fan of the original frame. I like polymer 80's but when I heard that it surprised me... I've heard that you have to grind down the rear locking rails or something... Anyone?
Here's what I know:
I have the P80 frame which I got from TGS. With the exception of one or two of the frame pins, everything should be completely compatible. I am getting ready to start on mine in a couple of days, and I have all necessary parts. If you like, send me a DM and I will keep you updated. Lenny says that the P80was specifically made to work perfectly with the stock slide. I believe he did a video on putting one together, in its entirety.
You make this for a G17 and I'm liable to march myself down to the GlockStore in person and slap some cash on the display case with a smile. Come on Lenny, whaddya say??

Lets take a snappy high recoiling gun and reduce the weight and make it 25% more snappy ...yikes .

Since the slide is what reciprocates when you fire a round, you want it to be less weight. It's the weight coming to an abrupt stop at the end of the cycle that causes recoil, so less weight results in less recoil.
A Tungsten Guide Rode, on the other hand, is stationary under the reciprocating slide creating a dead weight to counter the recoil.
Hopefully that helps better explain.
@@glockstore I love my Glocks and would never give them up, but you'd have to admit that they really need to improve the out of the box experience to compete with other sellers. There are so many options for people. Sights, red-dot by default on the slide, trigger. By the time we get them to a decent level the cost of the firearm has increased massively.
