Great video! People should also be aware of not-so-scams but bad decisions - like giving companies a net 60 -day window to pay like Francesca's, and being burned!!
I've gotten a similar sam request. They also asked for my recommendation and suggestions because it was for a corporate offsite. They even called out the geo/area around me to make it sound local. Thanks for sharing. Always helpful to know what they lastest scams are going around.
Hello- thanks for sharing your insight of this issue. It’s so unfortunate ppl scam and prey on those just trying to make a living and thrive in life. Appreciate all of your videos ❤
Erica, thanks for giving us the heads up on potential scams that we may receive. The scope of the topics you cover are broad and help us with the many facets of candlemaking and running a small business. Keep up the great work, and I'll keep watching to learn ... joey
I've gotten those before. I remember being so confused because it was the same situation; they emailed me from my website, but were asking where to buy my stuff 😂
Thanks Erica! I have had this same email SEVERAL times! Fortunately, I saw your first video on these scams and new immediately what it was. I did respond exactly as you suggested and never heard back from them. LOL. So, if you ever wonder if your videos help people, the answer is EVERY DAY!!! 🥰
Hi Erica! Thanks for sharing with us! 😊 I just received an email asking if I offer complimentary samples to businesses before they place a potential full order. I checked the business email but couldn't find a website or any social media. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
The other one is they check out your website tell you what they want and ask if they can use PayPal, they then send you a screenshot that they paid , you do not receive any money, they then tell you that you have to send them $200.00 and PayPal will send it back just to make sure the transaction goes through and is legit , so they almost make you feel like your PayPal isn’t working because they send you the screenshot they paid let’s say $75.00 and you don’t have it and they then tell you we’ll send me $200.00 ummm nooo NOOO 😅 , thank you for this video 😊
I have a different type of business and gotten IG messages like these - want to buy from you, I don’t order online and just keep pushing…. Total scam! I think scammers do this because so many people (especially women) don’t want to say no. TFS
Good call on sharing this. I'm sure a LOT of newbies fall for this. We've had quite a few over the years. There are always red flags and the grammar is usually poor.

I have a cleaning business too, and I was shocked how many scammers out there. Crazy!
Thanks for looking out for us fellow candle makers ❤
Yep I get them all the time
Scammers have a special place down under. Block the sender and report spam. This is awful. To think this is their full time job.

have had a few of these inquiries
Play them at their own game. Reply giving them the email address from another scam email and tell them to drop an email to that address 🙂
