What the heck is the keyboard short cut for labeling the nodes??? We need a million thumbs up for this one!!
You can set your own shortcut in the settings. A lot of us bind it to the Tab key since it's pretty accessible.
I've set it to Alt + N, it wasn't assigned any shortcut keys when i changed it.
Yep
I've set it on F2 for me. Choose what is more practical for ya
Haha thanks everyone i was looking for this yesterday
This tutorial is amazing, and it's refreshing to find one that doesn't assume we are all familiar with the topic already. Very easy to follow!!! 2 thumbs up!
This man NEVER STOPS GRINDING!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know it brother 💪🏽
This is crazy, I'm working on a no budget short film and the director wants teal & orange.
I was going to start researching how to do it properly and I see this 🤣 timing is perfect!
The pitch in ur voice shows the confidence that only comes after years and years of hardwork
best man ever, thank you for all videos
this video gave me a such a good overview of teal and orange so different and so soothing to the eyes :)
That's means you got the essence. Makes me happy 💪🏽
Sick!! Thank you! I'm a big fan man
Man your tutorials are AMAZING and life changing!!!!!
Thanks
This has been probably the best OT color grade tutorial I've ever seen. Thanks a ton! Btw, huge fan!
You're welcome brother
u r the SIX machine...luv u sir❤️
I'm more impressed that you feel comfortable enough with us now to not blow wave your hair. Its awesome!
Don't get too used to it that's coming back.
wowzers!
Great video. Love it how you easily explain these color grading techiques 👌
Of course 😀
Teal and orange always looks good...to me. Thanks.
Same
thank you!
Superb as usual! Thanks!
Thanks
Holy cow Qazi! 08:20 is a true game changer, sending the skin channel to the next node. Thank you 🙏
Love that. Let's go!
Thats a nice variation of the look. Thanks a ton for that Qasi.
You're welcome
Awesome....
You are a legend, my friend!
😀🙏🏽
I love Orange and Teal look! Ignore the haters.
💯 right there with you.
very nice.... your work as always is right on.!!!!
Thank you
You r such an amazing man . Keep going bro
Thank you, I will
The good thing about this O&T grade is that its not the O&T of recent years where skin was actually ORANGE and everything else seam foam green. This is like a wonderfully inspired derivative of that look.
Thank you. Exactly.
Amazing as usual thank you
Thanks
Hey big up from france !!! No french guy have an once of your talent and your pedagogy. All is really good explain, the how and the why, I doesn't just repeat a tutorial blindly, I understand why I do this or that. Bravo! Well done and keep going dude!!! This is the third tuto of yours that I follow, and I learn in few days like I never learned coloring in YEARS bloody sh** ! And for the record, I'm colorblind, but with the scopes and the understanding of it, that's not a real problem anymore, I do coloration like anyone. So thanks again so much from France
Wow. This made my day and I'll be posting it on IG as my story. 😀 It makes me so happy that you're finding it so helpful brother. Much more to come.
great job qazi 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you
Love your stuff man. Can you make a video about correcting, grading, and achieving a high quality cinematic look (as much as possible) from mobile phone and consumer action camera footage?
Cheers!
A great Grading Secssion From You
Thank you
Now this is a guy who knows what he is talking about!
i definitely enjoyed what i saw))
Let's go!
u are good man
Thanks
I use Davinci Resolve all the time for mulitcam edits with my 4 GoPro cameras
Thanks a lot, Qasi!! Love the tutorial! simple and easy to learn! what is the shortcut in the keyboard for switching on/off the node?
CMD+d
OMG Amazing!!! but I applied the same nodes u do and why when I export the video from premiere it look whased out?
Hi Qazi!
Got something a bit different to ask you, As a beginner DOP using a pocket 4K is there anything i can do to make keying easier? For example keeping contrast between my skin tones and environment so i don't have to mask round the subject to get a nice key.
in short as a professional colourist what tips would you give to junior cinematographers who are looking to shoot and grade themselves.
cheers bro! definitely enrolling in the master class when the £££ starts coming in ;)
Glad to have discovered this channel ! can you do a tutorial on the Mindhunter look ? Thank you for your work
Will do
Just signed up for the masterclass.
Let's go!!!
How do you colorize black and white videos with DaVinci Resolve
Super video
Thanks
so what is the way of teal and orange without qualifiers. especially in lowlight areas where skin colours isnt blooming really well? and the qualifier couldnt really detect the skin and bleeds everywhere else
“Better by the node” needs to be on a T Shirt 😂
Awesome video man, I saw a pen in your hand at the end, what king of graphic tablet you use?
Wacom cth
Hi Qazi!
This is log footage in YRGB rec709?
We can colorgrade and achieve this with or without matching the input/output in CST?
Someone give this man a holiday
😂😂😂
😂
You should do a video on how to color grade like Halloween 1978 / Halloween Kills with the blue atmosphere n stuff
This is fine for concrete backgrounds like this, but what about when there are skin tones all over the room, where it's hard to key out?
Well Kyle that's why you need a course that answers all your questions and then some. waqasqazi.podia.com/freelance-colorist?coupon=SPRING
Trying keying more with luminance. If the cinematographer hasn't lit the subject more than the background then you could try and use power windows to compensate. The idea of orange teal is to create depth and separation to your image, so even with a little bit of blue in the shadows it should help achieve this. Just make sure your blacks stay black. Most of the look is done with costume and set design anyway, colour grading should just enhance what's already there.
How to do this if the clip is not in log? From a smartphone for example... Can we achieve the same? Or is there something we just cant achieve?
Hey is the FC Masterclass available next year ?
Right now I'm very tight on budget... I would like to join the journey.
It will be but for a much higher price
STOP!
Yo, this is my new shit now! that glow/ pop node + that temp & tine adj node with the skin node output? Fucking fire dude!
I am using it on every one of the videos on new contract!
Homie, If I could afford that master class I would all on it!
but ya know, BILLS!
I'm gonna keep making this money though, I'll be on there soon!
Keep this this shit up brother.
Only dude on this dude on youtube who is a true artist/ teacher!
you put em all to shame!
Let's go!!! Can't wait to have you in FCM 💪🏽
im still unclear why you used a parallel node for the skin correction. How would the output have been different with a serial node?
does film grain effect skin tone ?
I'm confused on adding the nodes. is it serial, parallel, layer? idk they just pop onto the screen when you do it
Layer mixer
Lol homeboy on the left looking little thin 😂😂
😂😂😂 my wife said the same thing
He's got an eating disorder - he's anamorphic...
Wow, New content already.. Thats news. Can you show how you colorgrade 8 bit Sony footage?
Watch this event.webinarjam.com/channel/waqasqazi
Could you start using one of those cheerios around your cursor? I keep trying to watch your videos and usually end up stopping half way through because your cursor goes all ninja and by the time I find it you've gone from Minecraft to Monet and I've missed it
He's not using his cursor much - he's using his Mini Panel so I don't think it would be much help. You have to keep your eyes on the controls.
Really enjoying your videos. But I am having a hard time seeing the before and afters you often point out. You click SO FAST between before and after that the difference is negligible lol. Otherwise though, really enjoyed.
hey Qaz would be perfect if you could share some little footage of a high end camera for those of us who will never get their hands on it. doesent have to be long or something good crapy footage would do just to see how colors react on that! i know its a long shot but what the heck! cheers man!
Well that's the point of my masterclass brother and the only place where I'm allowed to share the footage. waqasqazi.podia.com/freelance-colorist?coupon=SPRING
@@theqazman got your point and kinda knew the answer. i m with you 100%! maybe someday. keep on rocking bro!!!
There's RAW Log footage free for download around the web if you do some searches. There's some on the Blackmagic site if you poke around
@@vinnieRice should have thought that my self. It never crossed my mind. Thanks for the tip!
Can you give Indonesian translation for every your video please?
teal and orange look nice. the looks in films is like fashion, is no matter of lice or not really, the whole history of art had differents style color in the industrie just like that. is like asking why all youtubers work with the pretty same look and style of editing, by the way iam getting tired of "dinamic" zoom crop in youtubers.
Hi, Waqas, here is the link ruclips.net/video/jDcMLMy_39Q/видео.html to my colour grade of this same footage which I did in Final Cut Pro X. As experiment, I did two different style of looks - which are dramatically different to each other. Let me know your thoughts.
Mvp!
Thank you
Thank god it wasn’t a lut lol
😂 never
