that's how a furnace works, you heat up the stone from underneath with coals and the stone cooks what's above.

Cake should be made from wheat, sugar, egg, milk, cocoa beans, and sweet berries. But it should give you some benefit for going through all that effort, maybe make it restore the most saturation? (i know its easy to do with a datapack)

The true answer to the cake problem is that the red spots are just exploded chickens because some of the eggs actually had a baby chicken in there. And considering the fact that the ovens can get pretty hot. It would be pretty likely that the chicken would die or explode.

1:00 apparently all those knockoff minecraft games are all based on an open source reverse engineered version of minecraft called mine test.
Since it's all open sourced its basically become a platform for other people to add on to to do whatever.
It could be an interesting video to screw around with mine test and some interesting sounding add ons.
Nah most of them are just minecraft pocket edition with a texture pack.
Minetest is not reverse engineered, but rather made (more or less) from scratch.
It's still an incredibly easy base for someone to make their own Minecraft clone/alternative - most of the code is already there.
