I know, and yet the list is crawling with douches like Morrissey, Axl Rose and even Bono, and I actually like the latter. They can't say it's because of all their arguments and John's time out of the band, as AC/DC had two singers
I know! I clicked on the video because I wanted to see where they were on the list. Further and further into the video I thought they were gonna get #1. But no, not even ab honourable mention. Fucking disgusting.
Just shows how great Led Zeppelin was. Jimmy and Robert were more than enough but to add Bonham and Jones?? Greatest band of all time only rivalled by The Beatles.
My list... Top 7.. 1.Robert plant and jimmy page.. LED ZAPELIN.. 2.David gilmour and roger waters.. PINK FLOYD.. 3.Slash and axl rose.. G N R 4.Paul mckartey and john lennon.. THE BEATLES 5.Kirk hammet and james hetfield.. METALLICA.. 6.Noel AND liam.. OASIS.. 7.Jerry cantrell and layne stanley.. ALICE IN CHAINS..
Bobby reza farresy and Layne Staley And Jerry Cantrell. I could loose Van Halen off the list and put them in there. I’m tired of these lists ending with Led Zepplin. They are rapidly becoming the most overrated band in history. At least AIC had back to back records debut at #1. Only Def Leppard did that in the metal genre.
When you think about queen what’s the first thing that pops up. Exactly Freddy Mercury. most people can’t even name the lead guitar player for Queen (Brian May) they both play at such distinct levels that you can’t really associate them both as an iconic duo that work as an inseparable bind. although they are both absolute legends, they’re work is almost always admired separately and not together hence it’s position in honorable mentions. like if you agree
Distant Galaxy Music you might be getting sick of seeing led zeppelin a top these lists but to call them overrated makes you sound stupid. Zeppelin have a strong case for being the greatest band ever. Had the drummer not passed away who knows how many more amazing albums they would have made. What zeppelin did in ten short years had arguably a greater impact on music then any other band. I agree with you that there are some other duos that deserve to be on the list. Alice in chains was amazing and the Edge and Bono should be on the list.
1: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) 2: Angus Young and Bon Scott (AC/DC) 3: Brian May and Freddie Mercury (Queen) 4: Keith Richards and Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones) 5: Slash and Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)
How is Queen an honorable mention, in queen Brian May and freddie Mercury the guitar and vocals were always competitive and really added to the music EDIT: Sorry this was 3 years ago me, idk why I said Bon Jovi😂it was just Queen that bothers me lol
I thought about including Floyd on my list, but to things kept them out. 1. Waters is also the bass player of the band 2. Gilmour sings a lot of leads as well.
Bon Jovi is so underrated! Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora are legendary when they sing and play together. They should be in the top 10 instead of an honorable mention.
That's what I'm thinking...whoever made this list needed to kick The Smiths out of the top 10 and place Freddie Mercury/Brian May in either 2nd or 3rd place
Plus, have you heard Brian May sing. He does a fabulous song called Too Much Love Will Kill You off his solo Back to the Light. Exceptional, but then, that whole band can sing.
Just because YOU don't like Queen, which can be seen in all your comments, doesn't mean they aren't cool. Freddie uncool? Suuure, he's an icon and still well known 25 years after his death, but no, he isn't cool.
They aren't cool. I don't like Guns n' Roses much either but I admit that Axl and Slash are cool. In NO WAY were Freddie and Brian 'cool. Freddie and Brian were about an uncool as you can get. I have never heard ANYONE claim that they were 'cool'. You don't know what 'cool' means. Just because you are famous and well liked doesn't mean you are cool. Was Barry Manilow cool? Woody Allen? Fame be damned. Nothing to do with it. Cool is an attitude. Queen weren't cool. Hey the Osmonds were big and famous,. I guess they were cool too. LOL. Just Bieber is huge. He's not cool in any way, shape or form.
I had anticipated that Queen was no. 1, so I was pleasantly surprised (dropped my jaw) when Zeppelin actually (and rightfully) took 1st place. Then it's okay Bon Jovi was only on the honorable mentions (though, I am a big fan). Would have put Mercury and May on the list instead of Morrisey. May is brilliant and Freddy had a huge stage presence. Totally agreeing with Daltrey-Townshend, Jagger-Richard and Lee Roth-Van Halen being on the list.
Thanks for putting the Smiths, most of the people in these comments only listen to hard rock and heavy metal and they don’t know the greatness of the Smiths because imo, there is no way Ian Gillian and Blackmore is a better pairing than Mozza and Marr

I know a lot of people are upset that mercury and may were not on the list but to me it makes sense because for all of the duos on this list they are each others perfect foil and when you think of one you'll probably think of the other. But in the case of Queen I feel like Freddie has sort of risen to become his own individual icon and legend of music. Brian May is without a doubt a great guitarist but I just feel like I don't automatically think of the two as a duo, in my mind Freddie is the icon, he is the face, there isn't really a dyad between them.

The list is good. I just wanted to say that if you do a video about good trio as it cincerns the vocals you should put Queen in the first place because Frieddy , Brian may and Roger Taylor could combime their voices and make them one.

Brian May and Freddie should be on this list. I rank them at 2 personnaly. Queen is so cool
@PewDiePie The Holy One Plant and Page😉
no, overrated , and mercury was a degenerate
@@desoztoppieter9895 What?
Sure after 2018.Queen is so cool

Anthony Kiedis and John frusciante didn't even get even get a honourable mention...
I know, and yet the list is crawling with douches like Morrissey, Axl Rose and even Bono, and I actually like the latter. They can't say it's because of all their arguments and John's time out of the band, as AC/DC had two singers
WhoTF those 2?
@Terry Gascay Red Hot Chili Peppers
Cliff the people you mentionned are terrible human beings but amazing musicians
I know! I clicked on the video because I wanted to see where they were on the list. Further and further into the video I thought they were gonna get #1. But no, not even ab honourable mention. Fucking disgusting.
I came for G n r😂
Me too but i was disappointed by the mix of videos they chose to put in the top
Ashton Griffith I came for AC/DC but they’re never high enough
Live Aid 1985 and the song "Hammer to Fall" you will find a fantastic interaction between a guitar player and a vocalist (May-Mercury)
Led Zep were more than a coolest rock duo, you forgot John Bonham a John Paul Jones, the four were the coolest vocal guitar drums and bass.
Luis Cajas not only were they the most talented band but the coolest each member is just so cool.
Just shows how great Led Zeppelin was. Jimmy and Robert were more than enough but to add Bonham and Jones?? Greatest band of all time only rivalled by The Beatles.
Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore? or Blackmore with Dio?
Definitely
What about Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt
+The Best Gamer 64 do you really think they deserve a place on the list?
Blackmore and Coverdale
+Kosta Jovanovic lol why not

Slash and Axl❤❤❤💪💪
Finally someone smart🤣🤘
Same here...they are best 💚💙💜💛
They are something special together on stage , I love watching them 😍
Eh I only liked slash
THANK YOU for putting LZ 1st. Totally agree.
You put queen in honorable mentions ? Come on ):
Bobby reza farresy and Layne Staley And Jerry Cantrell. I could loose Van Halen off the list and put them in there. I’m tired of these lists ending with Led Zepplin. They are rapidly becoming the most overrated band in history. At least AIC had back to back records debut at #1. Only Def Leppard did that in the metal genre.
Bobby reza farresy Seriously!Freddies vocals And Brian’s guitar ability is out of this world. Its a perfect match😻
Bobby reza farresy he put a singer and a guitarist in honorable mentions, not queen, Queen was Freddie mercury.
When I saw Axl Rose and Slash I clicked so fast on the video. THEY BETTER BE AT LEAST IN THE TOP 5
Me too lol. I'm not a huge fan of GNR but it made me have High hopes for this so it better be good
Same lol
Cringe
good to know I'm not the only one who clicked because they were in the thumbnail lol
+Σαντιάγκο τροποποίηση they come in 3rd
GN'R
1: Jimmy Page and Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin)
2: Angus Young and Bon Scott (AC/DC)
3: Brian May and Freddie Mercury (Queen)
4: Keith Richards and Mick Jagger (Rolling Stones)
5: Slash and Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses)
Ned D. fun fact for you, my father was a roadie for the Rolling Stones
Interesting.
Tyler and perry whoop richards and jaggers ass
How is Queen an honorable mention, in queen Brian May and freddie Mercury the guitar and vocals were always competitive and really added to the music
EDIT: Sorry this was 3 years ago me, idk why I said Bon Jovi😂it was just Queen that bothers me lol
you’re right, none of the other bands on this list had guitar and vocals that added to the music.
I can agree with queen but I cannot accept bon jovi even being in the honerable mentiond
GuitArian Rockin! I’d give them like 7th
Nick Marfoe ikr

David gilmour and roger walters? Ian gillan and ritchie Blackmoore? Mercury and may in the honorable mentions? -.-
walters? nope. waters, maybe.
I'm shocked Blackmore/Gillan aren't on this list, and even top 5.
david gilmour is the singer and the guitarist and roger is the bassist and singer too
I thought about including Floyd on my list, but to things kept them out.
1. Waters is also the bass player of the band
2. Gilmour sings a lot of leads as well.
It's gilmour and gilmour
I am at number 2 now, but I am 90 percent sure that Page and Plant will get the first place.
yay
happy to see Page&Plant on top
dont care who are next ones
Led Zeppelin forever !
Bon Jovi is so underrated! Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora are legendary when they sing and play together. They should be in the top 10 instead of an honorable mention.
Yes!!!I was hoping that Layne and Jerry would be on this list. I wish they made it on the actual top 10, but honorable mention is okay I guess...
Jon bon jovi , richie sambora 👍🏻❤️
What about Kirk Hammett and James Herfield?
+Zack Sell its more James and Lars
Kirk sucks ass. He makes James look bad.
Not only do they mostly play separately, there's a difference between rock and metal.
They are two guitar players, the list is vocal/guitar,did you understand now?
agreed what about them? they're epic together
the Smiths over Queen?....Really????
Yes!
No.
yes
Every time.
That's what I'm thinking...whoever made this list needed to kick The Smiths out of the top 10 and place Freddie Mercury/Brian May in either 2nd or 3rd place
Jon Bon Jovi - Richie Sambora my fav from this list, second one is Axl Rose - Slash
Top 10 vocal harmonies in rock. (Suggestions: Def Leppard, Boston, Van Halen)
AIC
Led Zeppelin always on top !!! totally agreeeee!!!!
#1 was obvious. Page and Plant will always be the best duo. EVER.
Freddie Mercury and Brian May are only an honorable mention? What are you smoking?
Pineapple express
just accept they’re overrated 😂
List says coolest. Queen rocks but they werent cool.
Queen are better as a whole
Plus, have you heard Brian May sing. He does a fabulous song called Too Much Love Will Kill You off his solo Back to the Light. Exceptional, but then, that whole band can sing.
Queen in honorable mentions? Ian Gillan and Ritchie Blackmore even not included?
Marco De Petri e
Yeah Big mistake really
My list:
Page/Plant
May/Mercury
Iommi/Ozzy
Richards/Jagger
Slash/Axl
Van Halen/Roth
Young/Scott
Blackmore/Gillan
Noel Gallagher/Liam Gallagher
Rhoads/Ozzy
Queen as an honorable mention?! did i just saw that...I'm sorry, im done
Queen never were nor are 'cool'.
"Queen never were nor are 'cool'" Really dude? Freddie defined that word.
1998 oais
Haha thanks for the laugh. Freddie was as uncool as you can get as were Queen in general.
Led Zeppelin = cool.
Queen = uncool.
Neither May or Mercury can never be called "cool". Plant and Page however, were. And still are.
Plant and Page are music gods in my universe.
Thanks for putting the Smiths, most of the people in these comments only listen to hard rock and heavy metal and they don’t know the greatness of the Smiths because imo, there is no way Ian Gillian and Blackmore is a better pairing than Mozza and Marr
they showed Eddie's guitar during aerosmith, queen only as an honorable mention, come on watch mojo
They should do Top 10 Rhythm Sections in Rock... (in other words, Bass and Drum duos)!!
Jonesy and Bonzo ❤
John Entwistle and Keith Moon!!!
Geezer Butler and Bill Ward
Jpj and Bonzo!!!!!
Rush with Geddy Lee and Neil Peart would be number one.
I'm just glad that these guys agree Plant/Page are #1
Jerry Cantrell and layne Staley and Eddie Vedder and Mike Mccready are top 5 in my opinion! I feel like the 90’s guitar players get overlooked
You forgot the best Seattle band Soundgarden. With Kim Thayll and Chris Cornel those other two duos, as good as they are, cannot compare.
Mercury-May in top 3 - their chemistry was awesome and Freddie loved to brush Brian´s right side :D
10. david lee roth and eddie van halen - van halen
09. steve parrey and neil chon - journey
08. axl rose and slash - guns n roses
07. roger daltery and pete townsend - the who
06. ozzy osborne and tony iomi - black sabbath
05. mick jagger and kieth richards - the rolling stones
04. jon bon jovi and riche smbora - bon jovi
03. steven tyler and joe parry - aerosmith
02. brain johnson and angus young - ac/dc
01. freddie mercury and brian may - queen
Love that Alice in Chains was at least recognized in an honorable mention! Thank you!
Seriously, how do leave guys like Mercury and May off the list....way more talented and influential than some of the guys on there....
Zigmeister 74 It’s ‘coolest’ not ‘most talented’. Brian May and Freddie were talented as fuck, but not really ‘cool’. More nerdy.
Exactly, they had chemistry, but Freddy was the superstar, not Freddy/May duo.
Why are Freddie and Brian, Jon and Richie, Bono and The Edge, Ann and Nancy only honourable mentions. Also why aren't Joe Elliott and Steve Clark on the list?
Freddie and Brian, and Bono and the Edge only an honourable mention? They both deserve to be on the main list IMO.
#1-Axl n Slash
#2-Axl n Buckethead
#3-Axl n Izzy
#4-Axl n Bumblefoot
#5-Axl n Dj Ashba
#6-Axl n Axl (Dead horse)

#9: pardon me??

I was just about to say this!!! Such a unique thing
Should have been number 1
Should have definitely been more than an honorable mention. Why did they choose Ozzy and Roades and not Ozzy and Iommi too?
DEFINITELYYYYY R.I.P Layne
+Gabriel Hewitson *Rhoads
R.I.P. Randy Rhodes
Mercury outshined them all. He was clearly the brightest star . That's why people still think about Freddie when they hear Queen.
I am just shocked that David Bowie and Mick Ronson are not even in the honorable mention.....
Me too
I'm going to say David Bowie was still David Bowie without Mick. But Axl isn't Axl without Slash, Plants not Plant without Paige and so on
Scott Hill page,
It's PAGE
Guess David Bowie is more identified as a solo artist...that must be the reason...
What ever you say .. queen always in my heart .
1. Bon Scott. Angus Young
2. Diamond Dave. Eddie Van Halen
3. Axl Rose. Slash
4. Robert Plant. Jimmy Page
5. Rodger Daltrey. Pete Townsend
6. Paul Stanley. Ace Frehley
7. Ozzy Osborne. Randy Rhodes
8. Ozzy Osbourne. Tony Iommi
9. Layne Staley. Jerry Cantrell
10. Freddie Mercury. Brian May
And of course Robert and Jimmy number one!
Queen should be here first:
Freddie is said to be one of the greatest front men of music and Brian gave us great solos like bohemian rhapsody and we will rock u and their just honorable mention the heck watchmojo
Page and plant first place all day
It said cool
1. Axl Rose & Slash
2. Robert Plant & Jimmy Page
3. Freddie Mercury & Brain May
4. Brian Johnson & Angus Young
5. Ozzy & Randy Rhoads
6.Roger Daltrey & Pete Townsend
7. Mike Jagger & Keith Richards
8. Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora
9. David Lee Roth & Eddie Van Halen
10. Steven Tyler & Joe Perry
No Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson
good one
Rush never ever gets the credit they deserve, well at least Alex doesn't
I know right! Alex is so overrated!
i think it's because geddy is also the bassist/keyboard player, Watchmojo seems to have chosen only singers that don't play an instrument. geddy-alex, thom yorke and johnny greenwood, frusciante and kiedis, metallica duo, black francis and joey santiago could have made the list too
+gabriel gilbert *Underrated 😅
The list is good. I just wanted to say that if you do a video about good trio as it cincerns the vocals you should put Queen in the first place because Frieddy , Brian may and Roger Taylor could combime their voices and make them one.
I see Axl and Slash , I have to click on it 😍. Those 2 have something special when they're on stage together, it's magical lol .
EVERY member of Led Zeppelin is greatness itself
Zack de la Rocha and Tom Morello. Looooooove.
Actually Mojo, you need to make a part 2 with Mercury and May on top and ALL of the honorable mentions on that list
Queen fanboys are tilting. Page/Plant are unrivaled.
