its sad how queen fans have to defend themselves by mentioning that they’re not only fans of queen because of the movie. new fan or old fan, it shouldn’t matter. everyone is allowed to enjoy their music without getting hated on for it🤷🏼♀️
It's infuriating that this video's been out for a while and after the movie is being flooded with these comments. It implies that those people just watched the movie and probably aren't even familiar with Rock music.
Thank you because some people get so pissed saying that people just watched the movie and some do but some people don’t understand how hardcore some fans are and also some people think queen fans only like queen and think queen is the best. I’m a die hard queen fan but I still love led zeppelin and the Beatles too so I wish people would see this comment
Haméd The Avocado are you actually a moron? The only exceptional member of Queen was Freddie. Every member of Led Zeppelin were masters of their respective crafts. Jpj was a better bassist than John Deacon. Roger doesn’t even hold a candle to Bonham‘s drumming, and Page can shred like a beast and was far more versatile than Brian.
The reason why the Beatles are the best rock band of all time was because they basically made the music what it is today. They invented the whole concept of pop and the rock songs we love was pop at that time. Pink Floyd and queen are fantastic bands but there music wouldn’t have been the same whiteout Beatles. You can’t say Beatles just made pop or a certain type of music. Beatles did art in form of a day in the life and all sort of songs. Beatles was revolutionary back then and is still.
I'm sorry but if you say that, you haven't listened to the beatles. While I'd argue Pink Floyd and The Beatles are tied in 1st place, The Beatles also had very experimental music with deeper lyrics, their first 3 albums just don't have them as much. The reason why Rock is dying of not dead is because we (Rock lovers) are sticking to old songs (which are the best ever btw) only and not listening to the new bands/artists out here expanding their potentials...we are killing this genre..
True. Rock fans have been listening to the same music for decades now, which is understandable because it's really good, but it doesn't really inspire artists to make new rock music and it doesn't help that music get a following. I wish more people would open up their musical horizons, not just in the rock genre but in general. I'm a fan of classic rock, but I don't feel bad about liking modern pop or rap songs. Music is music.
TechnicalHotDog I see it different. I see lots of people stuck back in an era too lazy to search for newer music. There is always awesome music being created and with the internet, we have more at our fingertips. We used to just listen to what the radio and mtv fed us mostly. That was also back in a time when most artists were signed to some major label which didn’t really give you the freedom to be creative like you can be now. Back then, you kinda had to worry about getting on the radio or mtv. In order to do that, you have to please many people. Now, you can just put your music on RUclips. You are right about people searching for the same ole stuff, but ignorant music fans won’t be dictating what the musicians are gonna be out there doing. They will do their thing. It’s up to us to find it.
I love how they glossed over literally the greatest bassist of all time when talking about The Who. Give some respect to John Entwistle, dude’s a legend.
She said they are “the greatest Rock n’ Roll band” while the list is about the best Rock bands, this is because (if I’m not wrong) Rock n’ roll is a specific sub genre of Rock, just as progressive rock (Pink Floyd), Metal, etc...

So there is zero effort, zero creativity. AC / DC is a band that is not recognized by many other musicians. Guns N Roses is a little further. But still look from bands like Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple. In general, it is not bad if you copy of his role models a bit. Guns N Roses is overdoing it and so Guns N Roses is just a copy that worked well. Secretly, as a band, they were not as creative as many think. But admiring her on Guns N Roses is her look and style. "Stone Cold Crazy" is one of the first thrash metal song written. Mercury wrote that way back in 66-67 when Black Sabbath even came in existence. 'Modern times rock n roll' LIVE version at Rainbow, is among the first speed metal tracks. Most ppl don't bother delving into any deep tracks on Queen's albums.
While I'd argue Pink Floyd and The Beatles are tied in 1st place,

'Bohemian Rhapsody' movie enters:-
"Why Queen is not Number 1"
Thank you so much! People don’t realize that Queen wasn’t nearly as popular or influential as The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Who, etc.
@@ryan183 I wasn't around when Queen were releasing songs but I think they were pretty popular. Their songs might not be as popular as Beatles songs but I'm pretty sure they're more popular than Rolling Stones and The Who songs.
Tyrese Kingpin BM they were popular don’t get me wrong but The Rolling Stones and The Who were more popular _at the time_ If The Bohemian Rhapsody was a Rolling Stones or The Who movie, people would be crazy about them now
I found Queen before Bohemian Rhapsody
Deaky_Fred_Rog_Bri yeah and a lot of people did, but that movie brought so much recognition to them that people just assume they’re the greatest of all time. I used to like Queen a lot more but once the movie got released the annoying new fans ruined them for me
You call the Rolling Stones the greatest rock band ever and they're in fifth place... Because logic
I'm guessing rock is not the same as rock n roll?

+MyNameIsWillS depends which songs you listen to you hipster nob
Freddie Mercury was one of the best live singers ever, and it wasn't
just his voice. He was a LEGENDARY performer, and let's not forget their
were a ton of truly great performers in his era...and he was the best.
You want more proof that he is the best? Watch the tribute concert after
his death. Those were/are all phenomenal singers, and none of them
could sing any Queen song with anything near his vocal power.
Ever heard of the Guitar God David Gilmour???🙄
There's no such thing as "proof" of him being the best. That's simply your opinion.
same with jim morrison
@@casesuit well, Freddie has a voice that goes from verry low to verry high. Also he can do vibrato verry fast en he has also got verry good song-writing skills. He is the rock-god. Its not an opinion but a fact. Nobody can beat Queen.
@@pieterdeketh6778 The Queen used to be my favourite. That was until i seriously sat down and listened to th beatles. Having a great voice doesn't alone make you the best. Paul McCartney and John Lennon were better song writters. freddie wrote many great songs 2.. not as good tho...
How come Aerosmith, AC/DC and kiss do not appear at least in the honorable mentions?
Idonno
Because they're mentally slow
@@aris-e8770 Well, definitely the members of Kiss are mentally slow but not so much AC/DC and Aerosmith.
Aerosmith, hell no belongs on this list, hell no. AC/DC maybe. I can easily drop queen out of this list and put ac/dc.
@@jaakkokansalainen5827 What the hell. You can't drop Queen out of the list. Sure, AC/DC does belong in the list, but I'd put it below Queen.
90 per cent bands are British !
The Unknown exatly !! Ever .
Cause the british bands are the best of the best.
The Brits literally invented the genre (the Beatles were the first rock band), of course their bands take the majority of the top 10.
100% are human bands
@Neurotic Pigeon no one gives a shit
I swear nobody of the Beatles' haters ever heard a Beatles song.
I’ve tried listening to their music and I don’t really like any of their songs. I just can’t get into it. I’m more of a 70’s and 80’s type of guy, I guess.

The top five bands who I feel on any given day could swipe the top spot are The Who, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. True pioneers and everyone of them are responsible for multiple MONSTER albums. If you wanted to list the greatest rock songs of all time, I'll take these beasts and you could have every other band that ever existed.
True
Jeff, that's pretty much my top five also, although you can make an argument for Queen and even Santana to be in that group. So in my mind you've got seven bands vying for the top 5 spots. Throw in The Doors, CCR, and Fleetwood Mac, and you've got a pretty formidable Top Ten.
@@paulkane7771 Agreed. There are multiple bands you could swipe out in the top ten for sure. Of the top five I have listed, The Who are my favorite, with The Beatles a close second. I never loved Zeppelin, but I don't think any objective list of greatest rock bands can omit them(many would put them at number one). What amazes me most about the bands I mentioned is that everyone one of them has a song catalog that puts them above all other groups. Factor in that all of them sounded great live(even The Beatles), it's hard for me to exalt any other groups above them.
Where would music be without England....
Where would English literature in general be without England? I am a proud American but I have to admit the 10 best all time writers from England vs the 10 best all time writers from the United States isn't much of a contest head to head.
Actually rock started in the us sooo thank them
But England added so much more to what was started, comment when you do some research

Honorable Mentions:
Black Sabbath, Ramones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Beach Boys, AC/DC, The Yardbirds, and The Moody Blues
Professor Mercury I like your taste, but not the order not so much. Fleetwood mac definitely need to be in any top twenty(so well done),the pre stevie nicks era is amazing. The only one on this list that i think doesn't belong is the clash, personally i think the stranglers were twice the band they are(heresy i know). Good list btw.
Professor Mercury The Moody Blues are the most under-rated band of all time. Not hard-rockers but more like progressive rock. In a class by themselves really with superb harmonies, melodies and musicianship. Many of today's baby-boomers fondly remember some acid trips while listening to the Moody's earlier albums.
