I always thought it was an interesting touch how Droids (and even the clones in some cases) stand in massive line formations, reminiscent of line infantry tactics.
I feel like it was more of an intentional design by George to portray how Archaic some of the military strategy employed in the star wars galaxy was despite how futuristic and advanced the universe is.
@@thedon9247wow yea that’s make sense I always thought it was just “lets put massive army’s of good guys and bad guys on flat ground and make them fight that will be cool” and yea someone can say that clones were trained years in many tactical and terrain situations but they were under command of Jedis which at that time had very low command experience so this scene was actually very accurate
@@thedon9247 its not, the droids don't actually stand like that in the movies when fighting blaster equiped enemies. same goes for the clones. even in episode II they are not in massive line formations but the droids are spread out evenly and are shown useing fire and manuever tactics. while the clones are shown clumped up in squad groups. still archaic by modern standards but not line-infantry archaic. it happens in the clone wars due to budget issues (its quicker to make blocks of soldiers just standing there, than think about how to make each one take advantage of available cover)
@@usupatuugames7442 Yep, during first half of war, Separatist won many battles. Besides their army consisted not only of droid armies, but many other organic forces, e.g. Morgukai Shadow Army, Nimbus Commandos, Trandoshans, Quarrens, Geonosians, Neimoidians etc.
I love how all Separatist droids feel like insects and various other inverterbrates. Those snail tanks, spider droids, crab droids, B1 droids kinda resembling army ants, etc.
Well at the beginning the trade federation just had what you see in episode 1, which yes includes tanks but not a lot of types. They had this "little" army justified because of pirates and drug lords. They needed to defend themselves specially in routes and planets not yet included in the republic. Once the war was planned they upgraded their armies and made alliances with other tech corporations to include other types of droids and vehicles
The Republic doesn't have proper anti-monopoly laws and also permits PMCs to exist because they have no standing military. The CIS weren't lying about the Republic being corrupt and being a shitty government

Droids had the numbers to afford it

I feel like these tank droids were only ever background characters in Clone Wars
I would've like to see them get some attention.
I’d love to see two of them having a chat about how life as a droid tank is treating them
Still pisses me off that the good guys literally never seem to lose a single battle because "Hahaha we're the heroes so get rekt"
They did lose battles, but they was mainly off-screen and lets not forgot Sidious set up the entire War.
So true. Its unfair, the droid army had some formidable equipment. But they always loose because they are the bad guys
Even with their excuse about Sidious set up the entire war, that didnt excuse well of the whole incompetence of his own Empire
they are losing because jedi on their side while they had only clanka brain setup. The tide of war will turn if every sith as general same as jedi.

We're just going to ignore Anakin commiting perfidy.
In our world, we would call those ’’perfidy’’ war crimes
"good guys" in star wars try not to commit perfiidy challenge (impossible)
This is the same universe that has life ending bio weapons and planet destroying space stations. I don’t think that war crimes are even a concept.

Anakin Skywalker committing warcrimes every other episode. XD

Persuader Tank Droid Jumpscare 0:00
Ah yes, the corporate fee collector droid.
The fact that financial corporations had tank droids is confusing to me
Well, they need to *persuade* their clients to pay back the interest somehow.
(Pun absolutely intended)
@@19Ouroboros96 i honestly didn’t know it was called the Persuader Tank Droid until now so that’s a nice bit of life to have

That’s one persuasive tank
A tank that "persuades" you to spontaneously combust
Shame the rebels didn't use it against the Empire
Would have been awesome to see the Rebels use reactivated droid armies against the Imperials
@@InvadIRK
There is some of that in the expanded universe, AKA Legends, especially the Providence-Class Carrier Destroyer called Rebel One.
The only thing you are missing is the deleted scene from the clone wars movie, in which they feature rather prominently
0:55 I love the transition: "All cannons..." BOOM
a good tank for kill many clones troopers in SW Clone Campaigns
Very good
I enjoy Star wars, but Jedi commanders are incompetent and so are their counterparts.
That's kinda the whole point

Gracias 😂❤
i thought its called corporate alliance tank droid
Persuader is the actual name because, uh, that's what the Corpo-Alliance used it for... "persuading" people into taking deals and stuff IIRC
long live the federation
