This episode really revealed the true rot inside of the Republic. From the kangaroo court, to the imposing grey stark buildings and red flags, to the military build-up, it all shows that the Republic is already the Empire, all it needed was a little push
For people claiming this is a children’s show, its actually insanely political and very well done. The clone wars is a perfect example of how corruption, policies and militarism can absolutely transform a democracy into an authoritarian state. George Lucas DEFINITELY was influenced by Nazi Germany and the Roman Empire when he wrote the prequels. The way palpatine skillfully takes everything over by using his charisma and social skills is insane. And the fact that the clone wars has MULTIPLE storylines revolving around treason, traitors and whistleblowers is also really cool. Almost all of the deserters and traitors like Bariss had an ACTUAL point. The Jedi did turn into warmongers that destroy everything in their path rather than being peacekeepers.
Oh my god! 3:04 is some of the most insane combat choreography I’ve ever seen! Ahsoka almost never disappoints when it comes to her animated action scenes!
It's funny how earlier in this episode Anakin had specifically ordered the clones to use stun rounds on her, but then later a clone literally ends up firing a rocket launcher at her. 3:11
the clones do not let up 3:403:56 they are ruthless in the chase. Shows what superior numbers and overwhelming odds will do but ahsokas training took over. Anakin skywalker taught her very well.
I like how they showed the clones' ruthlessness in this arc, as well as other moments in the series. Also in the final season with Order 66. It conveys the message they are one of the best armies ever created very well, because they will not give up on the objective. I would be terrified if I was a CIS planetary defence force volunteer and I had to fight against this. They will just keep coming, regardless of what casualties they take. Just look at the Umbara arc. Their commanders (Rex, Fives and so on) were one of the most caring out there and they still pushed their troops forward. Imagine what would it be to fight against a clone unit that has almost no compassion for their own men, like the Galactic Marines.
The 65th will always be my favorite division, they were even more bad ass and brutal in legends, the only division to never be under the command of a jedi, and the only division that was actually bred and grown on coruscaunt
Ashoka was stronger in her beliefs than Anakin because she chose to walk away from the Jedi and Anakin couldn't. He had to identify with the Jedi & Ahsoka did not. Her values and morals were worth more to her than being Jedi.
I'd imagine they'd be hesitant to shoot her/stun her when she could dodge and cause a misfire. That, or they're just stunned to see her so close into firing range, if I had to guess.
The systems were cut and disabled at the time, though I don't remember if the show said anything at the time. But of course plot has it's reasons, too...
1. Wow, Ahsoka is ridiculously good at dodging and sprinting in a chase. I want her workout routine. 2. These clones have chased her across the city, and are right behind her at almost every step despite her being a Jedi.
You know, really, Coruscant is so large including the lower areas, that Ahsoka should have easily been able to run and hide. But, that didn't work for the story.
Funny how no one bothered to look at the security footage in the prison to determine Ashoka wasn’t the killer of those clones at the start. It would just less than 2mins to rewind that and fox has the bright idea to ask “who did?”
The coruscant guard chasing Ahsoka across the entire district must be thinking: “What the fuck, this teenage Jedi togruta girl has dodged all of my stun rounds while sprinting as fast as our gunship. Im just trying to do my duty!!!”
The next time i wanna see clone wars with just action is where a bunch of young jefi go missing, Obi-Wan plans yo help them but is stopped (by General Grievous) and escapes with the help of Hondo
Ventress was lying She knew the odds were against her. So she ran. I know the feeling. It is funny how all of this could have been avoided if the Republic had security cameras.
It's called an "Observation Droid", mainly used by the Courscant Guard, Pyke Syndicates, and Zyggerian Slave Empire. I'm trying to figure out what language it is using.
Just me watching the Coruscant guards failed miserably to capture Ashoka makes me think how much underrated they r and worst clones them all and I have a lot of reasons y I hate Commander Fox are the only best clone of the Coruscant guard is Commander Thorn

Couldn't say it better myself. For a show blocked on Cartoon Network, the Clone Wars was a HORRIFIC look into what War turned the republic into.

Coruscant Guard is underrated because they're seen as genuinely apathetic and mean. But they're in reality just doing their job. Love em.
the fives shit was some foul action though. Palpatine definitely told fox to dump him.
Oh yeah definitely. But the man followed orders and got the job done. Not many clones have the resolve to kill other clones. Gotta admire him for it.
they're what clones were supposed to be. the jedi taught them to be compassionate
@@SonOfTheChinChin word
@@playsfromanotherdimensionI would blame the chip on that part
This somehow felt more "Imperial" than Season 7 and TBB combined lol.
Oh my god! 3:04 is some of the most insane combat choreography I’ve ever seen! Ahsoka almost never disappoints when it comes to her animated action scenes!
You’re telling me, I love her combat scenes
cant say the same for the live action ones tho
Anakin must have been really proud he made Ahsoka train against clone troopers.
“Let me Explain”
*BANG*
And she had saved his life in the first season. I hate Wolffe after that episode. To proves he's a jerk, he hid Ahsoka's messages to Rex in Rebels.
It's funny how earlier in this episode Anakin had specifically ordered the clones to use stun rounds on her, but then later a clone literally ends up firing a rocket launcher at her. 3:11
Not at her at the he ground below her "This'll knock her off her feet" he didn't try to kill her
That was a stun rocket don’t worry
I never noticed that the shock trooper in 2:38 actually had a nice visor on! These details are the reason I enjoy this show so much.
In think that they are actually binocs. Like the ones the 501st used on umbara
@@benkemper4606 yeah essentially just night vision
1:50 that’ll never not be a wholesome moment
Never knew clones where aloud to have pets. Let alone name them
The equivalent to police dogs of our world, except this time that clone trooper is a government property as well.
The name of the pet it´s "Princesa"
Lol😂 Ahsoka having practical training for order 66
My favorite bit is 1:22 showing the front view of the Coruscant Guard barracks.
She knew the odds are gainst her. So she ran. I know the feeling.
Didn’t realize how awesome the soundtrack was. Also gotta love the coruscant guard
All I know is wolf must have some strong self control imagine seeing a person you admire team up with the one who took your eye and killed your men

8:28 Anakin uses the same move he did on Asajj Ventress in the 2003 CW
Never noticed until now that one Shock Trooper using macrobinoculars in 2:38
All that training with anakin paid off.
ahsoka is such a finesser lmao
She's a straight up baddie
Ahsoka had such a fun day
your channel deserves more recognition
Wow you can really tell that the Corusant guard are the prototypes of the stormtroopes
It’s the point of this show. To show this not a republic but only in name. And now a military police state.
If ur Trynna say the stormtroopers don’t have good aim then ur wrong lol
Wish we could see the events of Revenge of the Sith in this season and leading up to Return of the Jedi, with beautiful music.
Clones are accurate than stormtroopers.
Also clones: 0:44

Ashoka was stronger in her beliefs than Anakin because she chose to walk away from the Jedi and Anakin couldn't. He had to identify with the Jedi & Ahsoka did not. Her values and morals were worth more to her than being Jedi.
This episode is so memorable and insane it's like Ahsoka is having that GTA 6 stars wanted level and it dissapears when the traitor is revealed.
Fantastic transition 8:18 seemed so fitting and natural!
6:54 That’s the armor Cals crew wore in Jedi Survivor I’ve never notice that
Most the things you'll see in jedi survivor most likely come from other part of cannon in some way
I love that between fighting ventress over and over training with ahsoka that anakins become such a natural when fighting against two sabers
To think clones attacking Ahsoka was just another in the office to her thanks to Anakin’s training
5:51 what were the two clones back there doing?! They literally have their weapons pointed at her.
Ashoka is using an ancient force mind trick of plot field that makes weapons in effective in range
I'd imagine they'd be hesitant to shoot her/stun her when she could dodge and cause a misfire.
That, or they're just stunned to see her so close into firing range, if I had to guess.
Stuns are actually more deadly the closer they are, its likely a distance that short would fry her nervous system and turn her into a veggie
That intro is the definition and indicator that CloneWars season 5 is where they reached the deepest and darkest stage of the Show
"then who did"
It's almost as if it would have been a good idea to have cctv systems installed in your highly secure prison facility 🙄🙄
They did, but plot so 🤷♂️
The systems were cut and disabled at the time, though I don't remember if the show said anything at the time.
But of course plot has it's reasons, too...
My one question in the first scene when I first watched is why did she not ask any of the shock troopers what happened…

If I'm not mistaken, the camera recordings were damaged and no further recording was made.
@@chopper3940true
@chopper3940 Yeah, that ls the reason why Ahsoka was fuerder incriminated
And no one asked why the woman in the cell asked for Ahsoka. Ashoka never asked to see her, yet Ahsoka wanted to kill her? Plot hole.
The coruscant guard chasing Ahsoka across the entire district must be thinking:
“What the fuck, this teenage Jedi togruta girl has dodged all of my stun rounds while sprinting as fast as our gunship. Im just trying to do my duty!!!”
I wish we seen the turbo tanks in action
