Tommy Sikes, CFP® 😎
lovely property and nice area, thanks for sharing
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing! I like the way you show these properties. They might do street markets for produce btw.
That's true, many of the towns have a market once or twice a week.
You probably wouldn’t get approval to extend a terrace due to historic codes, the prices are cheap as their usually property inherited by the younger generations who choose to live in the big cities, they generally require renovations which reflects in the prices as well. Umbria is a region that will boom due to its location between Florence and Rome and its close to the sea, yes you need a car but most expats have a vehicle so they can travel but still have a base to come back to.
Is nothing anyone tram, train or bus station in this Umbria city/town...?
Thanks for the information! And for watching + commenting. 😀
@@NayabNasir-qp7ed public transport in Italy is like traffic flow at 16:30 in New York
That means horrible right?
Umbria is really nice. Quite beautiful. You found another steal.
Thanks for watching and commenting Marco!
I love it! Andiamo!
Thanks for watching!
Lovely view of property in this price 😊
Thanks for watching!
Thank you 🎉
🙏😎
Cool channel… I have a course on Retirement Revival and although relocation is not the focus (just a bonus class), I can see you would be a great resource!
Thanks Kate! Just checked out your channel. Love the content on changing the retirement paradigm. I couldn't agree more. Thanks for commenting 🙏

Hi Tommy.. I am now 57 and I am looking for a place to spend the rest of my life.. I searched a lot and did not find a realistic person other than you. You provide suitable options with all transparency and attention to the necessary details. I have visited Italy before and admired it very much, and now I hope to spend the rest of my life there, even though I am an African-Arab.
Soon you will become my personal guide to buying a house in Italy.
Thanks so much for watching Tariq!
Nice
Thanks
I'm searching to buy in Italy. Now I'm looking at different RUclips Channels. However, no market or supermarket in this town is so odd! I wonder, then, townspeople travel all the time for groceries? Interesting.
I’m guessing there is local produce in a weekly market?
Maybe a small store too. Just no big grocery.
Lots of folks likely take the bus to the grocery once a week or two.
What is your opinion. Is France or Italy better for retirement. Maybe you can do a video on this.
I may do a pros/cons of each. They’re such different countries. Even the regions within are quite different.
Italy is def cheaper living overall. France has better infrastructure in general.
But they would both be great for retirement! 😁
UMBRIA IS SISMIC AREA.. MANY STRONG EARTQUAKES , THIS IS WHY PRICE IS SO SMALL AND ,IS SMALL ALSO BECAUSE ARE ISOLATED VILLAGES
Almost 900,000 people live in Umbria. And there are over 1,600 properties for sale between €250k and €5,000,000.
I think Umbria is okay 👌
You’re more likely to die in a car accident going to the grocery than you are to die in an earthquake.
Keep things in perspective 👍
And many homes have been re-engineered to withstand earthquakes.
Do you do anything on Piedmont? Looking for a house there.
Yes. If you look through my videos there are a couple. Thanks for watching!
its not only 30000 !!! old houses are all cheap now in italy because by law you must have dubble glas windows ( trippel even better ), elecrticity must be at eu norm , isolation also eu norm as everything else ! so that price is practicly just for the 4 walls serounding the property ... im not saying it is not nice ( lived in Bergamo for 8 Years ) had to return home because its to expensive now ! but the price is not for the house ! just the walls ...
I didn’t know that. Thanks for sharing.
@richardhltrp1480 can you please provide any link or citation for this requirement to upgrade windows and insulation?
Thank you in advance.
Can you please show inside the homes for sale?
You can contact the agent and request more pictures.
I typically show all I’ve found.
good property. How can I buy this property?
Link to the property listing is in the description. 👍
..definately, fully renovated, overlooking a lake & with good public transportation or drivable roads, (furniture/2 bath a plus.)...it's sold.
Thanks for checking out this video 🙏
Know someone who waited 7 years to get the permits required to renovate his house
That’s a long time!
A year ago is it still avalable?
The property listing is below the video.
Thanks for watching!
How old is the building?
I'm not sure the age. But it looks very old to me!
I would love to move to Italy, and have mornings coffee/an afternoon sip of wine on a terrace. But for me to move there by myself sounds too lonely for me. Do you know of anyone who would want to talk with me about sharing ideas? Love your videos too! I want a life like "LeAw Leave Everything and Wander-Luca & Sara 😊 youtube channel. Except my childern have already grown and left the nest. So looking for someone with a same interest. I'm not meaning you. I know your married. I had tried the on line dating and got taken for a lot of money. So I want to not make same mistake and see if there is a like minded person. But I'm not expecting to find and go. It will take time to find out who each other really is, and then talk about what each other wants. Then make decisions on if we both are going in the same direction or not. No money exchanged!
There are a good number of American + UK expats in Italy. Plus the Italian people are very friendly.
I'm sure you'd meet folks and make friends quickly. You'd likely need to learn some Italian.
There may be Facebook groups of expats living in Italy that you could chat with.
And thanks for watching my channel! 🙏
For young people not much to do isnt it !?
2 hours from civilisation 😅
We’ll, there’s fast internet. 💻
Other than that you can walk, run, bike, play guitar, make art, meet people, read, and write a book about living in an Italian village.
But only a few dozen other things😁

Understand
In the Netherlands young people dont want to live here in small villages.
Schooling/university, party, shopping is what they like most.
@@maximhollandnederlandthene7640 Gotcha!
A Rooftop Terrace would be ideal. The price is amazing! The location is nice. If someone, or a couple, were very capable and handy, I could see that house being a wonderful project. Of course, I'd immediately definitely Change the Colors of the Rooms, and change the furniture to less ornate and more streamlined in order to create space and make it more uniform and contemporary. However, those Shutters that go right out onto the Street from the Living Room are sooo odd and lack any privacy, are a Big No. I'd worry about Security. Also, no grocery shopping is a real minus. I understand there are restaurants, but no matter, one does need their own groceries.
Yep, it’s cheap for a reason!
I'm immediately suspicious of the low price.
I would definitely go visit and have a geometra give an inspection first!
Y’all are trying to gentrify my country, the government will not allow you to.
Thanks for watching. Isn't Italy encouraging foreigners to move there with the tax incentives?
What’s the catch?
It’s in rural Italy 🇮🇹 👍
I'm about to put my home here in US within a couple months. Can you helpme in any information or homes?

What kind of help are you looking for?
Inside very ugly need a lots of money ti fix everything. Very boring place nothing there 😢.
I like it!
..just kidding, (not this one.)
This one is certainly cheap, but not the best location to me.
