    Marco! Another great video thanks! Actually think #1 has great value for the price. #3 love the garden but no view of the sea. Seems like the inside of the buildings in Calabria are much more square vs Puglia. I love the star vaulted ceilings of Puglia. Even tho I am Calabrese. 😂. Look forward to the next.

    I can’t help to see the irony in the name of the city ´Pizzo’ because ´pizzo’ is also what is called the protection money asked by the maffia to the little shop owners. The irony is that Calabria is known to harbor members of the N’drangheta the most powerfull maffia in the world right now.

    Very nice. As a potential investor, can you say what the gross rental income is annually for home #2?
    The home has the right look and location, but do the numbers work for as an investment? If I know the annual gross revenue I can figure out the acquisition cost, tax, and operating expense.

    • @lozkko
      @lozkko 10 месяцев назад +2

      @@ttatl1785 ok, good that you will be there, but still making money out if renting is full of pitfalls. Fluent in Italian? Renting it permanently is a no no. If the tenant doesn't pay you, it would take years (more like 5-10, not 1-2) to get them evicted in Calabria. Tourism rent is more feasible, but the season is short (summer) and estate agents who manage it will probably try to cream you. Buy T-bonds....

    • @ttatl1785
      @ttatl1785 10 месяцев назад

      @@lozkko I have T-bills, I have US stock, I have international stock, I have US real estate. All investments come with risks and considerations. As I look to diversify to international real estate (pre-retirement) with a vacation rental focus, I need data points. The first is potential income. Grazie! it's a lovely seaside town by all appearances. I liked the first house best, did not care at all for #2, could see potential in the 3rd. I am again surprised at prices, especially when there are needed repairs---I guess I've looked mostly in Abruzzo where clearly one gets more bang for the buck. One thing I don't understand---on this and many other channels---is how fully functional spaces, especially bathrooms, are always said to be in need of updating/renovating, apparently just because they don't look contemporary. Sometimes, in fact, the 50s, 60s, and 70s bathrooms are really nice! I really appreciate when the floors throughout a property are shown clearly, thanks for doing this in most rooms.

    I'd want a sea view if I could move there. All three of these are a bit chopped up for my taste and most of those walls are loadbearing so can't be removed.
    I had my DNA done by Myheritage some time ago. That's when I discovered I'm 28% Italian.
    I was born in Germany of a German mother who was not married and I never knew my father. I think he came to see once though while I was living in the orphanage over there. I can still picture him and I'd say he was definitely Italian.
    I was adopted over here in the US and there is no data on him.
    Myheritage is an Israeli owned company and instead of telling me I'm 59% German they say I'm 59% English. I asked them about it and they said it had to do with the Anglo Saxons going to England 1500 years ago.
    So they won't admit I'm more than half German, but all the genetic matches they send me live in Germany or Switzerland and also Austria. I guess they still hate Germans.
    No matches on my Italian side.
    I'd say they are a bit screwy.
    Do you have to have an actual Italian family history, name, in order to claim citizenship or will they do it off DNA match?
    Ciao

    The second house is a dream!
    What would be the process of an American buying into this town?

      Same process as for anybody else :-). You’d only need to request a codice fiscale (easy to do) and make an offer on the home 👍.

    You ever think about doing real estate? You present these so beautifully & for many people.. at least Americans the Italian dream move is a regular conversation.

    Thank you for the tours. Pizzo is only 34 min and 47 min from my maternal grandparents home towns. They are inland. I like the 2nd home bc it's finished.

    Stunning town! So many like this that most never see! Thank you!! Do you live in Italy?

    I think I like the first one....can envision it being amazing after renovation. I liked the 2nd since it's done, but the kitchen is a bit small for me. The 3rd one is nice, but, as you said, the selling point is the garden. I just didn't like it as much over all.

    Stunning views, gorgeous town! I loved the look of the second Apt but didn’t see a living room, even after going back… all homes have terrific character and qualities!

    Italy looks unreal! So beautiful. Are there any homes or apartments over there in the $50K range? What about the homes for a dollar thing? Could you make videos about that? How easy would it be for an American tax move over there and buy something?

    I just found your channel. I've been following Super Savvy Travelers and Prego Italia with their emphasis on Scalea. This is an excellent video and I vote for house #2 with the Amalfi vibe.
