Hey Marco, I always look forward to your wonderful new videos combining Italian Life Style with Real Estate Opportunities. You are simply the "BEST" at what you do ! I am reading some concerning reports about the EU enforcing new Green Energy Standards on all EU residential and commercial buildings. Please offer your comments "EU Green Houses Directive, the buildings concerned" The EU directive could affect up to 5 million residential properties in Italy , with renovation costs estimated at between 20,000 and 55,000 euros per family. These significant costs are generating concern among many Italians. The survey reveals that 43% of those who are aware of the rule are frightened by the prospect of having to face these expenses, so much so that many are considering selling their homes to avoid these financial burdens.
Three great and beautiful properties! I so enjoy, and look forward to your videos. I did not see a refrigerator in house #2. Would you please tell me where it is located. Also interested in Joe donzi9552's concern. Do you know anything about that? Thank you.
I noticed that , thought I missed it. LOL but you did list it. It's a tough gig and if that is your only fault you are 99% perfect LOL . I sent you an email....
Thanks! I looked high and low, even rewinding, thinking I had zoned out on it.😂😅😂😅😂 25:36 I love #2, and I think that is a very good price. Still, I can't afford to move to Italy even though part of my birthright is calling me there.😢 #3 is the most architecturally unique and intriguing. That mezzanine with the bed, though, is scarry as hell. There is no rail at the top of the stair and barely any around the bed. I'd be tempted to lose that big fridge and make a 2nd bath in that space and put a smaller fridge in the kitchen. Is that fireplace usable? I love your videos Marco! 😊 Ciao, a presto!
Good picks! All 3 houses have a character. It makes a huge difference if houses are renovated and designed by a professional architect/designer like these were.
Your videos are the best of all these kinds of real estate presentation from Italy - what you choose and how you present them including the location is perfect to get an impression of the whole picture - thank you and keep the good work on 👍
Hi Marco, the 3rd historical homes terrace is stunning. So much beauty and character. The apartment itself is nicely done but too modern for me. The price is good. Thank you for sharing, I enjoy watching your videos.
Epic intro (cinematic/music). #1. Is the water and sewer on the city system, or is it well water and a septic sewer? #2. Beautiful reno - what is the space at the street level, garage? #3 Love the age - dislike the loft/bed (I’m not good on stairs). Thank you for this video; very well done.
Absolutely wonderful content as always, being able to see these Italian properties through your eyes is incredibly helpful, thank you so much for your work!
Just subscribed! I really enjoy your video style. Thank you for sharing properties in various areas and price ranges. I plan on making Italia my retirement home. I will definitely follow your channel and hopefully make one of the homes my home someday! Ciao!
We hold immense respect for your work and thoroughly enjoy watching your videos. We aspire to create our own haven someday. Your channel is undoubtedly the finest representation of the ultimate Italian fantasy. We express our deepest gratitude.🙌❤️🙏🏻
Love your videos and all three homes. The remodel on the 2nd home is beautiful, the star vaulted ceilings are my favorite feature. And, of course the terraces. My fav is the first one though, love all the property and space for gardens.
I met up with Alessio 2 weeks ago (the agent) and saw property #3. Unfortunately I didn't have to the time to view any others as on our family holiday, they were all rented out for summer holiday vacation anyways so viewing was difficult. Agent was excellent I thought. Speaks English. The property was exactly like the video! Thanks Marco! Decided too small for us in the end. Will definitely keep searching from London and to fly to Brindisi or Bari for a few days to view more. A few things for people out there, Italian's in Salento generally don't speak any English, unless Leece or Bari, hard to find an English speaker unlike north of Rome. If you move, the first thing you should do is to learn the language. Nardo is the closest major town to the beach. Good position and great restaurants, shops etc. People are really friendly in Pulgia, food is amazing, it's a poor region of Italy like all of Southern Italy, public transport is poor, however the roads are descent enough and great thing about Salento there are no hilltop towns or really tight roads like other regions in Italy so easy to drive (flat), a bonus, beaches are amazing, warm water. Architecture and history really just so interesting. Salento is getting popular with Northern Italians and other Europeans so I can only see Pulgia getting better. But there are fundamental problems, high youth employment lack of investment etc. but I see a positive future with better investment, this will take time. I think a great place to retire and my plan for 3-4 months of the year. Very healthy place to live. Thanks again for these brilliant videos.
Marco great vid as usual. Amazing properties. I absolutely love that apartment. Perfect use of space in a small area. PERFECT. I am looking for an apartment. Meeting with Samantha on friday. Moving to Italy soon....coming to buy a place prior to applying for residency so I have a house instead of a rental. Exciting times. I was in that area last winter. Thanx again for your great vids, commentary and to die for locations and food. Keep it up. Cheers. Gina in Upstate NY USA moving to Italy. $150,000 and under is my price range depending on condition. But there is market for all of your properties. I am looking for a part time home/apartment because I bought a farm in Portugal. So small and terraces, walking not having to have a car in Italy cause I have a farm in Portugal and need a truck there. Thanx again Enjoy the summer
@@Justdreamitaly thanx. So you sell the properties? As much as I love Puglia I am looking at Abruzzo and Umbria. I spent 2 months in Calabria and Puglia this winter. Too hot for me. LOL Gorgeous sea and properties but I am a mountain girl....lol...

@@Justdreamitaly We should talk Marco. I really would love to buy something so I can apply for my residency before I head to Italy in Nov/ December. I am not willing to pay $20,000 for a years lease for my residency. So looking for a few smaller properties. I will email you.
I'm glad I found your channel. Excellent videos with in-depth explanations. I'm wondering if the first home is on a flood plain? Thank you for showing the beauty of the landscape, not just the homes.
Pergola isnt that like a path partly covered or an connection to the house partly covered on the top, while this square/round single standing structure seems like an interpretation of the pagode.
Buongiorno Marco, once again, 3 wonderful properties with great style and character, and grazie mille for sharing info on the area's surrounds and benefits, best park and beach ! 👏🏝👍. And beautiful filming as usual! Favor the 2nd, as most suits my preferences, 2 BR, live in, or lock up and leave, while travelling. And kudos to the owners, fantastically renovated, great use of space! Re the 3rd, understand the design restrictions and mostly masterfully done, but would've preferred some more traditional material, or appearance of, re mezzanine bed/bathroom, make more romantic in some way, loved the rooftop, and for extra space, could apartment next door be bought? Oh, and re the outdoor structure you referred to as a pergola at the villa, with its significant, freestanding structure, and rounded shape, some more English terminology for you; I'd more likely refer to it as a gazebo. Possible for you to show some properties from around Follonica? Grazie, e tutto il meglio & CIao 😊💐👍
Hi Marco...We are looking for a fully renovated(finished if possible) dwelling, be it home or apt, in the historic center of any town in Valle di'Itria or Nardo! We want to stay in the budget of Apt. #3 above and if possible, ground floor ...or with a lift? See if you can do your magic and find our dream vacation location! 1-2 bedrooms are sufficient. We love your channel and look forward to your new posts when they come out!!
the second one is beautiful but a little confusing. They've obviously taken great care to restore and design it yet the kitchen doesn't have a full sized fridge and the second bedroom has no door
Lovely choices but you have to learn that the terms property, home, house, apartment and building have different definitions and are not casually interchangeable. So in this case what I was expecting to be three ‘houses’ became one house and two apartments. Liked them all but I’m a ‘house’ not an ‘apartment’ person. Keep up the good work, love watching and dreaming. Can you add information about proximity to airports, train stations etc, to help with orientation and travel planning.
If only it was so easy as buying a house and making the move. Truth is, residency visas are complicated and prevent many from settling in Italy. If you want to retire there, you have to show a $2,400/mo. Income pp. social security might not count toward this. If you want/need to work, you need to show a company outside Italy has employed you. If you want a nomad visa, you need to show income from a non Italian company plus a high level of technical skills. And on and on. And, no, buying property does not make you more eligible for a residency visa. The more I research and learn, the more I realize that, for me, it’s just a pipe dream 😕
I really enjoy your videos. You’re incredible. But I’m wondering if you are an Italian who just happens to speak perfect English? Or are you an American who is now an Italian citizen? Just asking out of curiosity. I’m a big fan and it helps me to know a little about the person I subscribe to.
From $37K to $45K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.??
Many dream og living in Italy and it can look tempting on pictures. I am swedish and now 67 and was thinking the same. I lived in Sicily and south Italy for longer periods and made my decision to stay in sweden. For a shorter period being a tourist Italy is beautiful and romantic. But to actually move and live there is a different thing. It depends on what kind of person you are. If you prefer things to be fixed before they brake - stay out of Italy. They fix things after they are broken. That can be a help to define who you are. Many parts of Italy is actually in ruins and have a lot og garbage everywhere. If you comment this to the Italians they are very irritated. I have learned Italian as it is difficult to manage with english. Italians are very nice and kind and there is often a friendly atmpsphere and it is easy to get into cantact with the local population. I was visting "the town of the thieves" Napoli - and was a little hesitant to go. But was so surprised. Yes it was a lot going on - but I really liked it. Good luck if you are moving to Italy. Viva Italia!! Pizza pasta basta!!
I am an Italo Swiss 72 yrs and I bought a house in Sweden but I think Sweden is by far nothing like his reputation. High taxes and very poor health care system. Coming from Switzerland it feels like a world between. Living costs are too high and compared to Italy much too high. Need to sell my house which is difficult because of highest rates in Europe for mortgages and if considering the devaluation of the SEK then you can more than forget about Sweden. The nature is wonderful and most of the people friendly and helpful. I have very nice neighbors. I will survive as long as I have to.
@@robertoposa1120 Well if you are born in Switzerland I would say you are born with a silver spoon in your hand. In 1977 I lived there some months in an exchange and learned a little about the country. I understand that you wanted to buy a house in Sweden - if you want to buy a house in Swtitzerland - I just say good luck - talking about high prices - few people can, even Swiss. Sweden and Switzerland are two different systems that are not comparable. You have your strong currency backed by the banking system - I think that makes the difference. All in life is a choice of what you really want - then go out there to get it. Good luck!
