👏Thanks for this Mike. It's a big concern for V8 owners with most people saying it's an engine out job. Nice to know that it can be done with the engine in place. 👌👍
Thank you so much! Are those clips off that come out of some of the pipes in the beginning reusable or the one-use kind (trying to get all the parts I need beforehand)? This seems to be a different way to do it than the Lamborghini Gallardo V10 explanation that takes the oil pump out?
Hello mate, I am currently under my car now trying this fix. I have removed everything and the compressor is floating in the hole but she just won’t come out. Just so I am clear am I trying to rotate it clockwise? It’s properly snagging on something somewhere. Great vid, I am so close but my knuckles are suffering😂.
😄 get your phone up in there and see what you can see.. it was a while ago I did this so it’s not fresh in my mind. It will come out, there’s just a VERY specific angle that it’s got to come out at.. i think I remember the rear of the compressor getting caught on a ledge on the engine casing.
When re-installing the new compressor, how did you tighten the compressor drive shaft back on to the compressor boot? or did you tighten it to the boot and then re-install the allen bolts to the boot?
To remove, I definitely removed the Allen bolts as the shaft was seized, once the compressor was out, I removed the drive shaft from the cup, and put the shaft back in. Then I fitted the compressor back in and wound the drive shaft into the new cup 👍🏻
Good day. Enjoyed your "anti blab" video. Busy with my 2007 R8 V8 ac compressor. The Yanks claim you remove the inlet manifold. Did you remove it completely or not? Just done the full set of Delphi magarides from ideaparts out of China. Cost R 27000.00 Dealer charge fitted was R 126000.00 !!! Good luck and look forward to your comment re inlet manifold Thanx and regards Bruce Cole

Hi Bruce, you have to remove the manifold completely to access the water pipe clamps.
What are Delphi magarides and Ideaparts?
Thanks!
I removed all the things and looked all the angle , but still compressor is not coming out

The video explains in pretty deep detail 😄 if all 3 bolts are out, you should be able to carefully manoeuvre it out.

i aready remove 3 bolts and shafting

I want to see the supercharger install!
It’s coming! 😄 There have been many issues and setbacks.
@@VisionAutoworksUK very much looking forward to watching it 😊
Is your Aircon working now?
The car is still in bits at the mo 😄 I should bloody hope so though! I’ve replaced the whole A/C system now!
how long did it take?
Difficult to say exactly as I’m doing it along side the supercharger fitting.. I reckon you could have it done in a day.
First
😄
