Some people are just in a hurry or just complete morons, everyone should respect other road users, including pedestrians and/or equestrians, depending where you are. People who are late at work are usually in a hurry, or men rushing to the hospital because his girlfriend or wife is about to give birth, etc.

Sir, Thanks A TON for your detailed videos. I learned a lot from them. If time permits can you please do a video driving to top floors, on the narrow slopes for multi-level car parking in the shopping malls. Really you are doing a great job. Thanks once again.
Merci beaucoup pour les videos! It's so comprehensive and easy to understand! I had a coach who never explains these to me clearly and blame me for not knowing those prior. I know it's my responsibility to get familiar with the rules but scolding wihou explanation is no working either.
Actually, it's both yours and your instructor's responsibility to get you familiar with the laws and rules. But I absolutely agree that scolding someone if you haven't explained to them properly what you're scolding them for is inappropriate.
my city has tons of four-way stops that need lights as a result of the population growing too fast. There is are a few where I have been stuck with 3-4 cars in every lane and I always freak out and don't know what to do
Good tutorial. It's very rare that everyone stops at a 4way at the exact same time, so simple rule is first come first serve. Proceed in order of arrival, but watch out because half the drivers on the road don't know and wont do this.
In the scenarios where 2 cars & 3 cars arrive at the same time, with respect to the right side person having priority, they are all going straight. Do the same rules apply ( who ever is on the right has priority ) in both instances if the person who has priority wants to make a left turn?
I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions, but I have another one: so, when turning left on a green light, (not a green arrow) i need to yield to traffic but I should never just follow the car in front of me who turned left, right? I should make sure that the coast is clear before I turn left and not just follow someone who did?
Of course yes. And before you engage into the intersection, make sure you see far enough that there aren't any vehicles coming straight. Especially if you're turning behind big vehicles.
Not everybody stops at stop signs, so true. Some people stop 5 or 10 feet behind the stop line because the car in front stopped and just continue through even though they stopped too early.
I’ve noticed in Phoenix AZ, and I’ve taken from them :/, that people stop at all sides all the time and we just do, whoever arrived first or gets waved on and the opposite sides go at the same time, unless turning.
Thanks for all the recording you have done and they are very essential and meaningful. I just moved from Alberta to Ottawa and what I noticed in Ottawa where is construction zone, especially on highway, I see the construction begin sign, but I do not see the construction End sign or I may missed it. Can you please give me some information about construction signs.
I was told that at a 4-way stop if all vehicles arrive at the same time and one vehicle is turning left then they go last. All the vehicles going straight go first, if some one is turning right they are second and finally the vehicle turning left is last.
1. at 3:29 ur allowed to go straight even with the bus there right? 2. what if u were in a situation where u wanted to turn right while the bus was there... would u able to do that? 3. if the car on the left wanted to turn right or left would it be able to do that with the bus in front? 4. if i was a pedestrian, would i be able to walk across behind the bus while the bus is there? 5. if i was a pedestrian would i be able to walk in front on the car on the left as it’s waiting for the bus.
1- Yes. You're not allopwed to turn right though. 2- No 3- Right yes, left only if it has at least 5 meters from the bus 4 - Yes 5- Yes, even if there's no school bus there. A pedestrian has priority at intersections where the vehicle has a stop
Wow your videos are so on point and easy to understand I learnt more from you than my driving instructor Whats the point of all way stop though? Just to confuse everyone? Lol
I'm 42 and have been driving since I was 16, but yesterday I came to a 4 way stop with stop signs where I pulled up at the same time as 2 other cars. Very rare scenario for me. I was sitting there with my left turn signal on for a while, and the other drivers were just sitting there. I was waiting for them to go. I didn't want them to honk at me, and I was pretty intimidated. Nobody was behind me, so I backed up and turned around so they could all go and I could try again. Came back to the intersection and another car pulled up across from me at the same time. Again, my left turn signal was on, didn't really know what to do, didn't want them honking/getting angry, and I was waiting for them to go but they were just sitting there. Nobody was behind me so I backed up and turned around to try a third time. (No I'm not an idiot/stupid, I have a 124 IQ.)
If the other cars aren't doing anything you can just start going and watch to see what the other cars do. If I'm getting to a sign at relatively the same time as someone else I'll go ahead and do an incomplete stop just to let the other person know that I'm taking the initiative. If I don't want to take the initiative I will flash my head lights to let them know they can go.
My question is: For all ways stop, I have come the first to the intersection, but need to yield pedestrians, should the second driver wait for me if he can pass without violation rules? And after pedestrians from my side having crossed the road, what is my sequence now in this line of drivers if there are already others drivers which have come to intersection while I was letting pedestrians to cross?
Did you cover the 4 ways with 3 lanes on each side? (2 straights and 1 turn) it’s amazing how many people in my area don’t understand 4way stops, it’s not that difficult yet they keep crashing at 4ways lol.
I’m here to get my permit 😭 I get five days of driving I shouldn’t be worried but I studied a lot just so I’d know what to do in situations yea umm I’ll be back on my last day which is evaluation day🤷🏽♀️ with or without that permit
self notes: Priorities at an all way stop: Who arrives first, or who is on the right, has priority/ You can also see it as what car has nobody on their right has priority. 4 way stop having people arrive all at the same time means nobody in particular has priority, so communicate among each other who has it with hand signals. if someone has to wait for something blocking them, but whats blocking them is not blocking you, and you have the time to go before the block gets out of there way, you dont need to wait, then you can go. Look out for people who look like they arent going to stop at a stop sign or give you priority before going so you know to stop.
Stop and wait 3 seconds? No way. Don't do that for any stop signs. As long as you come to a complete stop you can't get a ticket, there is no 3 second rule.
In this time of Pandemic a lot of people have an expired license, they don't give extension for G2 . If you fall your G road test will they confiscation your license? Are you going to get a G1 again? Should you just go for G2 again to make sure you pass and don't loss your license? Just curious
if a car that stopped 1st is turning left and u stopped 3rd right next to it... and u want to go straight... can you proceed at the same time as the car that stopped 1st since it’s turning left and ur going straight or do u have to wait util the car that stopped 2nd goes after the 1st?
This is so much easier when 4 way stops just don't (or only extremely rarely) exist. At such crossings, we just have priority to the right in most EU countries. So if there's a stop sign, you basically don't have to see if it's a 4 way or not. We already have enough "Schilderwald", no need to put 4 stops signs at an intersection! XD BTW I'm trying to understand US (and Canadian) traffic rules, because I don't wanna just GTA though the streets in ATS... it's a sim after all! XD
What if i stop first from the driver on the right, Do I still need to let him go first? or would he/she only have right of way only if we get there together at the same time?
Hi I have a question. After you stop at a stop sign, are you supposed to stay stopped if a pedestrians crosses the crosswalk of the street you are about to enter? Or do you proceed but slowly? How about if they are crossing the crosswalk to your right? Do you stay stopped at the stop line until they cross?
@@ConduiteFacile I think the question is (and I would like to know too) if there is a pedestrian crossing the sidewalk of the street you are headed, do you stay still at the stop sign until they are done crossing, or do you stop at the sign and then move to the vision line WHILE they are crossing? Thanks!
I might of made the mistake of not paying attention to a 4 way or 2 way stop on my 1st attempt as a student driver, but I've paid more attention since. Usually if I see that somebody across from me is going straight, so the path will automatically be blocked to cross traffic, so if there's no other traffic, I go while the car across from me goes, but I almost got run over on a bike today, because somebody in a car, thought that just cause they have a car & nobody else using the road matters, they failed to come to a complete stop & pulled in front of me, not a student driver either, yeah had me & a Semi driver not only angry, but also worried, so yeah.
We don't have such traffic organization in my country, but it was interesting to learn nonetheless. We also have a rule where cars on the right have priority. We call it interference on the right of the right hand rule.
@@ConduiteFacile The priority on the right rule is also used when to lanes merge into one without any signs or road markings or when two cars want to move over into the middle lane from the left and right lanes at the same time. Same case for you?
@@ConduiteFacile that's awesome!! Thank you so much. I had that incident earlier where I already crossed the all way stop and the fire truck just got out from my right cos there was a station there. And I didn't know if I had to stop to my right or not since he was already on the opposite lane from beside me. So I just kept moving straight slowly since he was already moving straight on my opposite lane. I don't know if you understand how I explained it 😅
I don't think we have these all way stops in my country. If there's no priority signs, it's always the "right has the way" rule that applies. Otherwise, there'll be a stop sign, but just for one or two of the roads
Thanks very much conduite. I was able to pass my exam on my first try by following your instructions. Are you going to do a video on what to do if a police car pulls you over? What to do if you get involved in an accident?
Im watching all your videos, really insightful but my concern is does my country do this lol and most importantly do other drivers know this lol I hope those stops signs here are used as STOP! not as STOP?
I think it's pretty much universal that people don't stop completely at a stop sign unless they have to. They only do so if they have to let a pedestrian pass, give priority to another vehicle or something like that. My opinion: roundabouts are absolutely fantastic. Whenever cities build new roads, they should see that as their first option, and use stops or traffic lights only if roundabouts are not an option in any particular situation. I also drive in Portugal often, and the city where I drive the most (where I was born), as far as I know, only has one traffic light. And it's not even at an intersection. It's in a long stretch and it's there just to slow people down If they'rere going going over the speed limit as they're approaching it. It's funny, lots of traffic lights there are there for thiss specific reason. That's the only traffic light I've ever seen there. The people there even call it the roundabout city.
Beginning @ 1:24, common sense would tell you that since the green vehicle has the right-of-way and is going straight thru the intersection, the yellow vehicle can also proceed because it too is going straight thru the intersection which is already occupied by the green vehicle. I hope that made sense.
Ok so I have a question if anyone can answer. Let’s say I pull up to the stop line before another car (that was waiting there before i pulled up but hasn’t pulled up to the stop line yet) who has the right of way? Me or them?
2:54 because that white car is on the left of you and he is to the right of you you have the right away correct because you don’t have anyone on the right
The part where you mention the kindergarten kids crossing the street slowly, and if someone who got to the intersection BEFORE you wanted to make a left, they could do so without waiting - I'm confused by this, if that driver came to a stop first why would they need to wait at all? the kids appear to be passing on their right side and they want to turn left, and they came to a full stop before you
That's what I say in the video. They DON'T have to wait. Whether they arrived before me or after me, if the kids are still blocking me and not them, they don't have to wait for me.
Even if you have "priority, " be careful of the other vehicles, because some people don't care, and put themselves first- especially during the rush-hour.
true, and that try to rush in spaces, and dangerous tight gaps they can't fit in
Very true. I just let the other people go ahead for safety reasons

So if there's a stop sign, you basically don't have to see if it's a 4 way or not. We already have enough "Schilderwald", no need to put 4 stops signs at an intersection! XD
BTW I'm trying to understand US (and Canadian) traffic rules, because I don't wanna just GTA though the streets in ATS... it's a sim after all! XD
That blind spot was really scary!
Thank you so much I have learnt alot ❤I wish I can pass my test at once😂
I wish too. Good Luck!
Very helpful thank you!
Great teacher tnx.
It's means stop signs without traffic and no pedestrians it allowed to stop on zebra cross lines ?
very helpful, ty!!
What if i stop first from the driver on the right, Do I still need to let him go first? or would he/she only have right of way only if we get there together at the same time?
If you stop first, you have priority.
I'm not sure I understand your question. The positions where the pedestrian is.
What if I am in the right and last car? And green is first then other should I wait for them? Or just when the green car moved I go to my side?
It's each one its turn. Whenever stopped first goes first.
Good video
We don't have such traffic organization in my country, but it was interesting to learn nonetheless.
We also have a rule where cars on the right have priority.
We call it interference on the right of the right hand rule.
I think they don't have Main road concept, they have this many-stops thing instead. Interesting.
The priority to the right thing exists here also in some situations.
We have both.
@@ConduiteFacile The priority on the right rule is also used when to lanes merge into one without any signs or road markings or when two cars want to move over into the middle lane from the left and right lanes at the same time.
Same case for you?
thank you :D
Another learning
Can you make a video about move over law instances
Yes. It'll be in a video on emergency vehicles. Should be the 3rd from now, so in a month and a half or so. Stay tuned!
Congrats for the exam. Those could be ideas for new videos yes.
You re the best ,,
Beginning @ 1:24, common sense would tell you that since the green vehicle has the right-of-way and is going straight thru the intersection, the yellow vehicle can also proceed because it too is going straight thru the intersection which is already occupied by the green vehicle. I hope that made sense.
Ok so I have a question if anyone can answer. Let’s say I pull up to the stop line before another car (that was waiting there before i pulled up but hasn’t pulled up to the stop line yet) who has the right of way? Me or them?
You.
Jesus, is this shot in Laval QC Canada? Sure looks like it.
2:54 because that white car is on the left of you and he is to the right of you you have the right away correct because you don’t have anyone on the right
Cars on this video are stopping on zebra lines, is it allowed to stop on zebra crossing ?
Depends on the situation.
