Love our Golden Corral! Bobbie: Love their pot roast, green beans, turnip greens, can't have Fried Chicken ulcer. But I know it's been good in the past. Sweet potato casserole so good carrots good. John: popcorn shrimp, favorite chicken wings, ham really good, lemon pepper fish good as well. Cheeseburger . Second round Bobbie: Meatloaf I love, baked beans, are good here, clam chowder looks good! Love cabbage. Corn bread. John: beef, pizza really good, turkey is good, Mac n cheese, seafood salad. Onion rings very good. Steamed Corn is really good. Dessert round Bobbie pumpkin pie, pecan pie. Blueberry pie like this Cotton Candy cupcake, brownies so good.

I like Golden Corral for the Meatloaf, potroast, fried chicken. A few years ago they had large butterfly shrimp. The pies looked very good. If i could still eat at a buffet i would be there. You are both always enjoyable to watch. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻👍🏻

Morning John and Bobbi, My mom always used frozen chopped onions and green peppers in her meatloaf. She never put the ketchup or tomato sauce on top. She put whole carrots and potatoes around the meatloaf and baked it covered. The beef cubes in gravy are meant to be put over the spaghetti. We put this over wide egg noodles. I would have had the peach cobbler and bread pudding with vanilla ice cream for my dessert. Here in South Central PA we used to have two Golden corrals. One on the east shore in Harrisburg and one on the West Shore in Mechanicsburg. Now we only have one in Lancaster, PA or one in Hagerstown, MD to go to. Thanks for sharing. Safe travels. ❤

Nice review. We have always thought both of the Golden Corral locations in the Smokies do a great job. The pies are frozen. They have generously donated to our community Thanksgiving meals in the past. They are good!! The salad bar is wonderful.

The Golden Buffet in Knoxville closed down. I enjoyed it. Usually, we had a good variety of food & and desserts. Nice salad bar. The one that replaced it has sushi & better food I have to admit. That's a good price, in my opinion.

Ours closed a few years ago. Torn down and now a Panera Bread. When they first opened it was awesome. Over time quality went down and so did the upkeep of the restaurant.

Good morning. I love Golden Corral. We have one about a mile from our home and go frequently. Always delicious food and friendly service. When we go to Branson, we go to the GC for breakfast and supper.
Our Golden Corral is about 20 miles from where we live. As John said you can't get a hamburger, fries and drink for same price as the buffet. We eat lunch there ever once in awhile. We get senior price for like $22.00 for two. This also includes the drinks. Just can't beat it. Hope you all have a great weekend.

Love buffets especially Golden corral they have the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner items i always start with a salad so I don't get my money's worth because it's so filling but I love that put fresh stuff out i miss Golden corral i wish they would bring back the one where I live their catfish is amazing fresh and hot and not bready and their rolls are the best
Try some of that Fudge it’s just like your grandma use to make . It melts in your mouth . Best I have ever had . I see you was close to the Food City . Go in there get you all a 12 pack of Nehi Peach soda . It’s so good !! ! My wife don’t like Peaches but she liked that . Enjoy your Day !!! I see where the fires up close to where you all live Hope it doesn’t affect your all’s place .
They closed the GC’s in our neck of the woods (SW Ohio) due to financial issues with the franchise owner. And there was great mourning in the land…. But they’ve finally opened back up and the line was out the door first day. Remember, the rules say if you go on the weekend, you have to start with breakfast and stay over (AND KEEEEEP EATIN’) for lunch. Otherwise, you’ll lose your GC membership card! 😂 Another good one!

One thing I’ve learned is no two Golden Corral’s are the same. I’ve been to some that made me question their food safety practices, and some that were just spectacular.
There use to be a Golden Corral across the street from me, I went 3 times and got sick each time and then they closed in 2020. This looks MUCH nicer and cleaner than the one by me.
I used to be a meatcutter and cook at a local golden corral and to see one still in business is a surprise . It's the hot bar that did most restaurants in . Giving all you can eat buffets is a waste and in some occasions unsafe food conditions . I won't go in details but to have people handling the food themselves is a very bad mistake . Some don't have the same hygiene practices as the general public . I wish you well but be careful where you eat , it's not just the employees or staff you got to worry over .
We've eaten different one all over the south, pigeon forge is by far the best. We were in Dothan al and a guy said pigeon forge was the best he had been to
Wow john thank you for teaching me something new today it said handicapped parking is offensive and Disability parking is more accurate i really didn't know this!!
I personally think handicapped is a lot less offensive then disabled. disabled means you can’t do things. Handicapped means it is hard for you but you can still do things with help.

I had one experience at Golden Corral and it wasn’t a good one. Plus the thought of those tongs being touched by hundreds of people and then being thrown into the food is cringey. You are wise for going in early. Big no for me but I always appreciate watching your thorough videos! Just got back from South Carolina. Didn’t make it to Dollywood but had a great trip non the less. They stick the steak at dinner buffet there chicken isn’t bad there mashed potatoes and gravy are great . They changed there seafood salad it got expensive. They used to have a big bakery bar they downsized but cleaned up . The kids get in your way when there playing with the food you have to have patience with people around the buffet. A lot of folks can’t afford eating out so you get a lot there . There food is bagged and trucks bring it in . Hauled there products . They cleaned up a lot .
I worked at Golden Corral one day 😂 many years ago and almost all the desserts was frozen. The brownies were made because they had these big giant sheets you had to pour the batter on.
Looks like cafeteria food but in the best way. Some of the offerings I’d avoid like the plague and others I’d happily fill up on. Wish we had a Golden Corral nearby.
I think it truly depends on the location & management of each Golden Corral...yours had different varieties of food than my local GC...and rarely do they have the same items on a weekly basis...I've asked the local manager & he always says" Well..I never know what corporation will send me"...can understand but one would think their well-known items (meatloaf..pot roast..fried chicken) could be expected all the time...the dessert items have also dwindled a lot in the past year..the price is reasonable but we quit going as often just because we never know what they will have available...with that being said..your location's food looks pretty good 😊...also our local GC could use a 'make over'...especially new carpet & booths...cleanliness is not at the top of their list..

One thing I’ve learned is no two Golden Corral’s are the same. I’ve been to some that made me question their food safety practices, and some that were just spectacular.

There use to be a Golden Corral across the street from me, I went 3 times and got sick each time and then they closed in 2020. This looks MUCH nicer and cleaner than the one by me.

I used to be a meatcutter and cook at a local golden corral and to see one still in business is a surprise . It's the hot bar that did most restaurants in . Giving all you can eat buffets is a waste and in some occasions unsafe food conditions . I won't go in details but to have people handling the food themselves is a very bad mistake . Some don't have the same hygiene practices as the general public . I wish you well but be careful where you eat , it's not just the employees or staff you got to worry over .

We've eaten different one all over the south, pigeon forge is by far the best. We were in Dothan al and a guy said pigeon forge was the best he had been to

I personally think handicapped is a lot less offensive then disabled. disabled means you can’t do things. Handicapped means it is hard for you but you can still do things with help.

I had one experience at Golden Corral and it wasn’t a good one. Plus the thought of those tongs being touched by hundreds of people and then being thrown into the food is cringey. You are wise for going in early. Big no for me but I always appreciate watching your thorough videos! Just got back from South Carolina. Didn’t make it to Dollywood but had a great trip non the less. They stick the steak at dinner buffet there chicken isn’t bad there mashed potatoes and gravy are great . They changed there seafood salad it got expensive. They used to have a big bakery bar they downsized but cleaned up . The kids get in your way when there playing with the food you have to have patience with people around the buffet. A lot of folks can’t afford eating out so you get a lot there . There food is bagged and trucks bring it in . Hauled there products . They cleaned up a lot .

I worked at Golden Corral one day 😂 many years ago and almost all the desserts was frozen. The brownies were made because they had these big giant sheets you had to pour the batter on.

I think it truly depends on the location & management of each Golden Corral...yours had different varieties of food than my local GC...and rarely do they have the same items on a weekly basis...I've asked the local manager & he always says" Well..I never know what corporation will send me"...can understand but one would think their well-known items (meatloaf..pot roast..fried chicken) could be expected all the time...the dessert items have also dwindled a lot in the past year..the price is reasonable but we quit going as often just because we never know what they will have available...with that being said..your location's food looks pretty good 😊...also our local GC could use a 'make over'...especially new carpet & booths...cleanliness is not at the top of their list..
