This may be one of my favorite of your videos. John I don't know whether I am shocked or impressed! LOVED IT! At a buffet I always have to have a fried fish and mashed potatoes and gravy to start. Then I want to try all the things!! It's the only place I would even think about it. John way way way out of your comfort zone and now I wanna try it all too, especially that crab and shrimp meatball and the potato dish with green pepper. Great video!!!!!

There probably was a little bit more but there was a carving station that had steak and salmon. This was the first time we watched one of your videos and went out the same day to try it!!! So glad we went there. We'll definitely return again!!!

Whoa! That is the best looking Asian buffet that I have ever seen. We have two here and they were so dirty and the food was horrible. We never went back. The Manor Buffet looks so clean and inviting. The food looks fantastic. They’d loose money on me just in the seafood. It would be worth the hour and a half drive to enjoy that place. Thanks for taking us along.

I think that is the most seafood items I have ever seen on a lunch buffet, and that price was quite reasonable for the amount of selections . Hi John and Bobbie. That place is huge and so much variety of food. If I had a place to eat like that near me and for that price I would go once a week. I love seafood especially Italian style mussels and it took me the third time trying sushi to like it. Amazing place thank you for sharing this experience❤️
John, I’m super impressed with your nerve! I was in my early 60’s before I started trying new things and I’ve got my second husband to thank for that. Even so, I still can’t do oysters. I didn’t do sushi until I was 64 but now can’t get enough, lol! And there are even things I’ve tried that my husband won’t, like lamb chops. I tried those for my 62nd birthday (LOVED ‘em!) but he won’t tough em, lol 😂 Never too old to try something new, I suppose. Love your videos - be safe out there. 💕🛣️🚘
Glad you discovered mussels. They are also usually appetizers at Italian or seafood restaurants. Since I don’t know your favorite Italian and/or seafood restaurants. As I don’t the restaurants where you live/visit let me recommend the mussels at Carrabbas-Italian restaurant chain with amazing mussels.
I'm glad you enjoyed it at Manor and were adventurous to boot! Especially love your Lancaster county reviews, being a local here. Unfortunately we had it a few weeks ago and it was not good. Great variety but the taste just wasn't there. And the dinner price with a soda each and tip came out to over $60 for 2 of us. Just didn't feel worth it, so seems like lunch would be the way to go to retry it sometime.
We have never tried their dinner buffet. They told us they had more seafood at dinner time. We enjoyed the lunch buffet, and the price was reasonable. Sorry you didn't enjoy the dinner buffet . We appreciate you watching and commenting. 😎😎
Love the video, as always. Now you need to try Indian food! Start out with tandoori chicken -- it's the Indian version of BBQ. Bobbie, you'll like sag paneer. That's spinach sauteed with Indian cheese cubes. It's usually not really spicy, but it's always good. Tandoori isn't usually really spicy, either. You also can't go wrong with chicken biryani, which is a rice dish that's not too spicy. Naan is a flatbread that's brushed with butter and great for sopping up the sauces. There are a lot of great dishes in Indian cuisine, but these are three I personally think are the best for beginners. Nothing too unfamiliar. My husband didn't think he liked Indian food, but he started with tandoori and worked his way up. Travel safely! ❤

My fiancé is a Filipina, so I have happily been to a number of Asian buffets in NC and Virginia, but this buffet is the largest I have seen (and the one in Chesapeake, VA is in what used to be a large Food Lion grocery store).
First of all, I was delighted to see John try and LIKE the mussels. Yay, John! And you didn't stop there. More new items for you: a big fat clam, sushi, and shrimp-crab balls. Wow! 👍Regarding the huge clam you ate, forget about it. I would have recommended the small clams. Not sure how they're made at Manor Buffet but if you ever see them swimming in broth (white wine, garlic, butter), go ahead and try them for a divine steamed clams experience. Also, next time you find yourself staring at a huge pile of Japanese seaweed salad (made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, mirin, ginger, garlic, toasted sesame oil), please consider giving this deliciousness a try. It's one of my faves. Your salt and pepper shrimp, I think, should have been cooked a bit longer for a super tasty mega-crunch (go ahead and eat the legs along with the shell... and chew on the head too!). Shrimp & imitation crab balls are fantastic. You can buy them, along with assorted fish balls, at Asian supermarkets. Wonderful in soups loaded with veggies and noodles. Nice choices for your Hibachi meal, Bobbie. And the cakes are two of my faves too (my #1 fave is Tiramisu). Have a wonderful weekend, you guys. Thanks again for a super fun video. The Manor Buffet is a steal!

We live in Maryland and stay at a hotel nearby . We eat lunch at the buffet it's substantially cheaper but no boned ribs. Lettuce for salad is terrible though. The desserts weren't that good overall except the icecream. We really enjoy the food and experience overall. 😊 Thanks!

Got to try this when I am in the area. Very impressive amount of seafood, especially at lunchtime. Some buffets only put it out at dinner.

Love the video, as always. Now you need to try Indian food! Start out with tandoori chicken -- it's the Indian version of BBQ. Bobbie, you'll like sag paneer. That's spinach sauteed with Indian cheese cubes. It's usually not really spicy, but it's always good. Tandoori isn't usually really spicy, either. You also can't go wrong with chicken biryani, which is a rice dish that's not too spicy. Naan is a flatbread that's brushed with butter and great for sopping up the sauces. There are a lot of great dishes in Indian cuisine, but these are three I personally think are the best for beginners. Nothing too unfamiliar. My husband didn't think he liked Indian food, but he started with tandoori and worked his way up. Travel safely! ❤

My fiancé is a Filipina, so I have happily been to a number of Asian buffets in NC and Virginia, but this buffet is the largest I have seen (and the one in Chesapeake, VA is in what used to be a large Food Lion grocery store).

You eat clams on the half shell with hot sauce and lemon. Yum! Such a great buffet.....and the price is remarkable!

First of all, I was delighted to see John try and LIKE the mussels. Yay, John! And you didn't stop there. More new items for you: a big fat clam, sushi, and shrimp-crab balls. Wow! 👍Regarding the huge clam you ate, forget about it. I would have recommended the small clams. Not sure how they're made at Manor Buffet but if you ever see them swimming in broth (white wine, garlic, butter), go ahead and try them for a divine steamed clams experience. Also, next time you find yourself staring at a huge pile of Japanese seaweed salad (made with soy sauce, rice vinegar, mirin, ginger, garlic, toasted sesame oil), please consider giving this deliciousness a try. It's one of my faves. Your salt and pepper shrimp, I think, should have been cooked a bit longer for a super tasty mega-crunch (go ahead and eat the legs along with the shell... and chew on the head too!). Shrimp & imitation crab balls are fantastic. You can buy them, along with assorted fish balls, at Asian supermarkets. Wonderful in soups loaded with veggies and noodles. Nice choices for your Hibachi meal, Bobbie. And the cakes are two of my faves too (my #1 fave is Tiramisu). Have a wonderful weekend, you guys. Thanks again for a super fun video. We live in Maryland and stay at a hotel nearby . We eat lunch at the buffet it's substantially cheaper but no boned ribs. Lettuce for salad is terrible though. The desserts weren't that good overall except the icecream. We really enjoy the food and experience overall. 😊 Thanks!
