Alan Wake is one of my favourite games of all time, i have all achievements in that game. And i get all achievements only in games i enjoy the most. Alan Wake is one of these games, i hope they announce a Alan Wake 2 for the XBOX One. Common Remedy release Quantum Break, announce a Alan Wake 2 and everything will be OK.

So you think hunting obscure riffs and pointing them out makes you popular? Oh yes. Please continue doing that. @FatMus2 That's a sticky wicket. In the manuscripts, Alan basically says he overlaid Night Springs on top of another city that was both a thin place between reality and the dark place and otherwise a perfect analogy for Night Springs. So it's simeltaneously real and not-a loophole that allowed Alan temporarily back into reality, but at the same time not.
***** In Alan Wake they "confirmed" Alan Wake 2. They never completely killed it off, just moved onto Quantum Break next since Alan Wake didn't sell on the consoles well at the time, making it not an immediate priority(it sold a ton on the PC version when it finally came on). The sequel is unsure but not completely dead yet.. we'll see what happens once they have Quantum Break out and they can restrospectively look at how the actual value of the Alan Wake franchise is a lot higher than they gave it credit for, particularly when properly released and marketed (no console exclusivity for 2 years killing your game).. But judging by them doing Quantum Break solely on the Xbox One with an exclusive deal... I'm scared too.
***** Are you kidding? Financially it wasn't the best, but that's because a lot of people can't appreciate a good story line when they see one, everyone is so fixated on linear cod shit that they don't stop to pay attention to something that's actually good.
epiclepticgs Good eye seeing that story has become second fiddle to gameplay don't get me wrong gameplay is important but story is what is truly lacking these days even games that seem to have a solid story screw it up some where along the line (I am looking at you Mass Effect) I love Alan Wake it had a new plot gameplay was solid and was a lot of fun to see it all turn out at the end. Wish they would get around to finishing the story however the number of cliff hangers these days are getting on my nerves.

@Djtechno758 From the Alan Wake wiki and a couple of other websites. The dropbox link sounds similar, only difference is, "It will happen again, in another town, a town called Ordinary." I don't have any kind of sound editing software to personally confirm it.
Yes, there will be another Alan Wake game, they're already working on it behind closed doors releasing tiny snippets of info and hints time to time so I'd say it's only a matter of time before a full reveal.
I think it's safe to assume that this song is intentionally meant to have lyrics that reflect the story. The developers aren't trying to keep that a hidden secret. It's still cool when you notice them though; like the emphasis on the word 'scratch' when it's spoken.
I beg to differ although I respect your opinion. Alan Wake kept my attention from beginning to end. And I don't play trash sir. A demon that prays on artistic thought and feelings.. that's pretty freaking epic.
@sab2fan24 That's because the Old Gods are supposed to be a (fictional) rock band from the '70s doing a reunion, so they should sound like one. In reality, Poets of the Fall (a real, finnish band) does all their songs, which are written specifically for the games (with assistance from Sami Järvi/Sam Lake, the games' lead writer and a close friend of them). There is actually an in-joke regarding this in American Nightmare, when a radio host points out they sound differently in their songs.
Does any one think there will be another Alan Wake game? Because at the end of the credits it does say that the story is not over. "Alan Wake's journey through the night will continue."
@JamesCaroso Maybe it means the next game will take place in the "Ordinary" world like the first game did, since Night Springs is supposed to be fictional.
Reversed speech section: "It will happen again, in another town, called Ordinary" Town of Ordinary will be anything but, if you know what I'm saying. ;-)

@DrJuanitor that and they said that a true sequel is in the works. that seems to be hinting at Alan Wake 2 too.
@MsRandomperson1 i hope so too! i hope American Nightmare was just a stepping stone for an Alan Wake 2
So badass!
@axlhun Yeah, definitely seems like a message from the Old Gods to Alan.
This game has the best songs
this sounds old school as fuck poets should do more like this.
Whole band is awesome but the guitarist and vocalist are so good
@ALocalVandal In the final verse, "Alone, in my own wake". A. Wake.
Does any one think there will be another Alan Wake game? Because at the end of the credits it does say that the story is not over. "Alan Wake's journey through the night will continue."
This makes for an awesome battle track
@ALocalVandal And "Find the peace!" could also be "Find the piece!", as in piece of the signal.^^
Awesome!
The hidden message is "It will happen again, in a town called 'Ordinary'."
alan wake has the best soundtrack ever !
@JamesCaroso Maybe it means the next game will take place in the "Ordinary" world like the first game did, since Night Springs is supposed to be fictional.
@TrojanFoxx - Thanks!
i love the game and the dlc , remedy should work withe them in the entire game soundtrack , wish to have the second one ahead
Reversed speech section:
"It will happen again, in another town, called Ordinary"
Town of Ordinary will be anything but, if you know what I'm saying. ;-)
BANGER!
"Balance slays the demon" refers to the balance between light and darkness in the stories that Alan has to write to fight the darkness.
THE OLD GODS OF ASGARD ROCKS!!!!!!!
