I'm expecting to zoom the suspect in the video..then we could see whether the details get better or not..otherwise all resolution looks pretty the same.
Hi Corey first things 1st your hair is looking fabulous love it now for the camera you didn't talk about the Ring because I have that doorbell so I will get the best Ring possible thanks for all your info peace out 😁👸🏽👍🏽👏🏽💖
I'm on a budget so have a very slow internet connection (12mbs). How does the different resolutions affect the bandwidth? and I currently have six cameras, would having all 4k cameras be a drain? Great video.
It’s a good camera from what I’ve heard. I considered buying that one but I needed a Security Camera to connect to my 5G internet, which that one & other Wyze Cams simply don’t do I went with the Reolink E1 Pro personally
I'm thinking of going from the harbor freight 1080p system to the 4k system because I'm hoping that when I zoom in for example i can still see a license plate with the 4k but the current 1080p get to pixelated you cannot even make out a person let alone a plate. any thoughts on this..are my expectations correct?
Well kinda all look same in my opinion not to much of a diff on the outside view beside degree of view...but as long as camera catches anyone or anything of movement gives that heads up warning .gives you time to call for help or react to a threat
Security cameras should be in 4K with a 180-degree view. 4K has the best picture quality and you may need the video for evidence in the future. And having a 1080p or 2K isn't going to give you the best details in a picture like 4K. Also, it would be nice if the camera has a 180-degree view so you can see more in both directions.
Nice comparison! Is there a difference viewing a feed from a 4k camera on a monitor set at 1080p versus a monitor set at 2160? I took my 4K NVR that has a 4K camera connected and connected it via an HDMI cable to a 24" 1080 monitor and then to a 32" 4K monitor and there was zero difference when I digitally zoomed in the live feed. I then kept the 32" one and switched the NVR's display to output 2160 then 1080 and 720. There was zero difference. So, it looks like I can view the 4k cameras with an old 720 monitor without losing any resolution.
The camera's you are showing require a monthly subscription. My TIEJUS and other Chinese cams on Amazon are wireless and batterys last 2-4 months depending on use with 2k+ resolution and no subscription and can be used indoors or outdoors.
Fair enough, something is better than nothing and 1080p is far from nothing. However, my father had an issue where a car rolled up and someone leaned out the car window and beat his car with a baseball bat- at night. You couldn't see the people well enough but the license plate was in view of the camera, but it wasn't clear enough to read. Essentially, all the money and effort spent on the camera didn't do any good. I have wondered if the 4k investment would have paid off. Everyone's situation is different but this is food for thought for anyone on the fence and can afford it.
Since you use different environments to demonstrate each camera, HOW can anyone make a comparison? Millennials! That's like one guy (millennial) comparing speak sounds, BUT PLAYING different songs on each comparison test! Then saying," on this song the bass was deep, while on this song (a different song) the bass as you can hear is lacking." What? No common sense whatsoever! But entertaining, I suppose! Look at me! Well, we're looking and thinking...idiot!
its difficult to trust someone who works so hard to make themselves look goofy for attention. Im sure it took this guy longer to work out his look than make the damn video. Lets find out.....
Excellent job! Explained everything nicely.
It's all so overwhelming...but so glad to find your videos and your site. Thanks.
We're glad you enjoy our tools and services.
I'm surprised by how unimpressive those 4k videos looked. Honestly, I didn't think they looked any better than the lower res ones.

Good Sir I noticed different lighting or light and darks in some of the clips? Was there a large time difference in times of day shooting?
No TP-Link Kasa Cams?
Wyze v3 has the best night vision.
Tells us more about your experience with that product.
@@SecurityDotOrg it's great. I replace my arlo pro 2 with all wyze cams. I'm sticking with the wyze eco system. They're Killin it!

I have multiple Arlos, and they're too dark no matter what resolution they are. So in dim light at night, they don't capture well

Good points. Thanks for sharing.

You are very welcome.

The IQ outdoor looks about as good as the Arlo 4k but man is it pricey
4K & 2K footage must hit your data cap insanely hard, hope you have a unlimited data plan
That's a good point. Data caps should be part of your decision when choosing the right security camera.
No wonder All-American Rejects doesn't have a new song :(
I wonder what happened to his pompadour hair after he took the baseball cap off?!
higher res>>>> lower light sensitivity. Always
I will only do 4k bc lets say they come out with 6k cameras you’re that much further behind and with 4k at least its the best quality at the moment
True, but don't forget there is a limit to how much definition in an image makes a difference to the human eye.
Arlo in 4k look a lot better than lorex 4k
What is the frame rate of the Arlo 4k?
frame rate depends on the signal strength and data transfer rate, and it can drop back to 2K, 1080p and 720p

I'm not rich. 1080p is good enough for me.

I agree. For this comparison to be worth anything, all cameras had to be used in the same environment at the same time. Otherwise, whats the point!
Ya so 1080p is fine 🤣
Yeah, not watching someone high as fuck talk about security cameras......
Who hurt you? Did you get dropped on your head or something?
@@datboi__ yes and it caused me to be extra critical of people who get high as fuck and talk about security cameras.
