- This series of videos depicts various Operational Environment (OE) Threat Equipment systems. The BM-21 "Grad" is a Soviet truck-mounted 122 mm multiple rocket launcher. The weapons system and the M-21OF rocket that it fires evolved in the early 1960s. The system has lower precision than typical artillery and cannot be used in situations that call for pinpoint accuracy. It relies on a large number of shells dissipating over an area for a certain hit rate on specific targets. Nonetheless, because of the short warning time for the impact of the whole volley, the BM-21 is still considered an effective weapon.
This was developed and filmed in Unity3d. Additional BM-21 specifications can be found on ODIN in the Worldwide Equipment Guide: odin.tradoc.ar...

Its capabilities are kinda overblown here
other than being inaccuare af, i would say its pretty deadly for how cheap it is
@@mrrager3475 Well, the trouble with Grad is that it is a weapon system made for another era of warfare. Back in the days amassing fires of a whole battalion to suppress a platoon BP was a viable solution; its not anymore. And its not exactly built for precision either
@@takogonikanetniukogo Are you not watching the war in Ukraine? 80% of Ukrainian casualties are from indirect fire. Dropping rocket after rocket on a trench line is kind of extremely effective. It's a shoot and scoot indirect fire piece. Counter Artillery won't even target it reliably because by the time they have the previous fire location, it's already moved and fired a second volley. Why you gotta comment if you're literally just guessing?

7 min reloading time? maybe per tube
Rockets easily slide in from the rear end of the tube, a rocket is light enough for manipulation by 1-2 men. A chain of men handing rockets to the loaders can complete the job in a few minutes.
Gotta love when people comment not knowing shit lmfao
