Great to see you guys back on the big screen! Love seeing some of the old tech in this V8 Tinder barge, I've never seen those paddles/button setup before! Looks like she's in very good nick too :-) Keep up the good work ladies x

My car was taken car of ......with only a driver window minor repair and thrust bushing on trans replaced. Trunk lid no more remote open ,but key works fine! 27 MPG....range on mine about 640 miles! Cost of car new $81,000 I bought it for $2500. due to fear from old owner as his warranty was expiring ..LOVE IT !!! Kingman AZ USA

      I think my father is getting average 48 mpg from his 745. It's 7.2 Ltrs/ 100 Kms.

Nice to see a local relaxed and positive review on the E66!
Hoping my next car is a 750Li, although it’s hard to find a good low km example these days.
Agree with these being low cost and stress free for DIY inclined owners.
I’ve DIY’d my E39 540i for the last 10 years. It’s only let me down twice (water pump and fuel pump), plus the pcv went, and then just routine maintenance.
Overall it’s been less than $500 a year average to maintain a classic BMW V8.
For that you’d be silly to buy anything else!

I just bought one for 5000 us dollars . Haven't had any issues with it. One owner well maintained. The 750i.i love the car. Best buy I've ever had.

Yall are a good pair for car reviews. As far as inspiring power...0-60 might not be great, but why not try a 40-120...I feel it might shine there.

The e65/66 is really the airpods of the car industry. At first everyone was like "damn thats an ugly design though" while they worked so good and felt so smooth, then more and more people came to love the design.

Should have showed your mate the residual heat button which after driving for bit you can turn the car off press the residual button and you get continuous hot air for about half hour while the engine is off - that’s impressive

I happen to have the e66 and the e53 4.6is both in the same colour you have Black and red. Ive hade the e66 for 7 years and I’ve only changed a water pump and the drive belt, they are extremely reliable it’s my every day drive to work 2 hours a day. Mine has the comfort seats. By the way you should not shut your doors like you do because they are soft close

Ended up selling it to my old man. Its now done about 5000 more k's and no other issues. Planning to do another oil change. Although they are the 7 series, i don't think they are any more fragile than any BMW. You just need to take car with them and be on top of maintenance.

Just got another one of these. Someone brought it to the insurance auction thinking they transmission’s gone bad. It only needed new coils and spark plugs. The fear mongers gave this car a bad review but I think it’s a great car😊

yep big fan - esp with options.... you can pay 10% of the options list alone in many of them... for example I picked up an E66 with individual options and alcantara roof 750Li with 250k on the clock for under 10k so hope my valve stems give another 50000kms at least

That 0-100 kmh time should be sub 7 seconds.
Many things broke on mine, mileage 120k km for 14.5 years
    Abs pump/module
    Both rear air suspension
Leaking boot release pump causing damage to the dvd reader for the GPS
    Left front passenger window regulator
    Mechatronics failure rebuilt
Left wing mirror motor retracts but does not extend the mirror
    Rear left passenger window blind

    • @ENP-ln1nd
      @ENP-ln1nd 4 года назад +1

@@bmwrp8 sorry for late reply. I got my first BMW E60 in 2005 but only for a short while owning it for about 4 years as didn't like the interior quality. The first 2 years only had a bad alternator which it did warned but for some reason I kept believing it as false alarm and since I'm a low mileage owner (E60 more like a weekend car and have some other cars to drive for congested city and daily use) it survived with battery for 1.5 months before it died gently (like aircraft losing electrical power phases by phases) and like gliding gently to a stop on the road shoulder. Called couple of friends to push about 2 miles to his home and next morning was able to start the car and send it to nearby dealer. Took 2 weeks for the new parts to come and done under warranty.
As for this E66730LI it is now 13 years old and I only owned as 2nd owner for 2 years now. Great ride and amazing driving experience. The car is obviously quiet than the Lexus ES and Toyota MPV Vellfire. Wanted to try the S350 but I decided to try the 730 first for the engine is 6 pots inline. The auto trans is so smooth and the car is powerful for its size. You can drive it hard and it will go crazy. I only replaced the rear air suspension shocks both sides due to minor air leaks on left side and not a single fault warning till to date except for a low battery warning. Maybe I'm just plain lucky to get a pristine condition car thanks to the previous owner attention to details like me and fixing any fault at its earliest sign. Sorry for such a long reply. .

    Loved watching this video.
Firstly, fuck Hoovie. Also fuck Hoovies 3000 dollar Alpina B7 in Schwartz black. 😂
I have a lot to say on E65/E66.
I just today drove 8 hours home from Sydney after picking up a 2003 E66. She was working on about 3.5 cylinders but still steam trained the full 850km.
I just bought her after having a write off in my beautiful e65 735I in Oxford green.
I love these cars. They have such character and presence.
I'm sure in a few years to come, they will have the appeal and charm of the E38.

You sir are a truthful car guy, hoovie is a fraud, always bashing cars with his overpriced mechanic and doing in many cases unnecessary repair... Also as a German car owner myself “2009 Mercedes CL550” I fully agree with DIY:)..

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 года назад +1

Thanks man, you gotta remember Hoovie is an entertainer, can't hold it against him. Its just a shame that pretending to be a car guy and dramatising everything gets more views than the real car guys making vids on youtube. Enjoy your CL550, lovely car.

9,5s to 100... No chance. Something wrong with this car for sure.
