Ok I actually laughed out when the intro started. The voice,the gestures and the constant badgering to visit Cars and Bids...oh no you didn’t do that bit thankfully!!

I think the driver’s wiper has that fancy mechanism to let it reach more of the top corner of the windscreen. This is necessary because they’ve left the wipers’ orientation configured for a left hand drive vehicle (to save them having to reverse the whole mechanism). I think.
Fun (eh?) fact: the "aero slats" on the wingmirrors are not so much to reduce drag for improved mpg, they're actually designed to reduce buffeting in the gap between the mirror housings and the body. Thus further enhancing the air (boooo) of luxury and comfort for the affluent occupant. Besides let's face it: if you've got a massive V12 in a car big enough to potentially cause serious grieve should you end up sideways in the Suez, who's really going to give a toss about MPG anyway...
Bro., your voice impressions of Doug Demuro was 100% spot-on. But what was equally amusing was your transition to your native British Accent as i thought you are American and certainly never heard of any Britt impersonate our Accent so accurately. You earned my subscription right away.

had one of these back in 2005. The 2 volume knobs in the rear will adjust each others headphones if plugged in, thats why there are 2 seperate volume knobs for each passenger.
Any idea what its reg was? I've got one with an incomplete history, NJ55BLK, which failed its first ever MoT at a whopping 201,000 miles due to leaking rear air suspension...
Another great vid Joel. The thing I want to see you to do, which I never had the guts to more than once for fear of wrapping it, is to turn the (godawful) traction control off and get it sideways on a wet roundabout.

What a beautiful car! And a very nice colour!
E65 was always a beautiful car (I even prefer pre - facelift more). People in 2001 just couldn't get over the fact that it looked radically different from e38.
The fins on the mirrors are to reduce wind noise.
Not that you’d hear it over the straight pipes 🤣
Subscribed because of the vids of the 7 Series. Love this car and really enjoy your style of reviewing. Abit disappointed you didn't fix the sensor especially as your bill was much less than originally believed. Would have to get rubber mats especially as you've got cream carpets.

Love thiz! Got an 08 730D myself. Awesome cars. Glad I got the 3.0 as there's just so many issues with the bigger engines especially the V8s, but nowhere near as cool lol

6:28 have you considered replacing the main screen with a combi idrive/android unit? those seem great coz you get to keep idrive but can also get android auto on the main screen etc.
Nailed the warbling voice. Not bad on the American accent too.
The individual volume controls on the armrest are really for using with headphones that you plug in next to each of the wheels I think.

No, wing mirror thing is to keep muck off the mirror by breaking the air flow up. Well, it works like that too. May be helpful in aerodynamics as small bits on wagons help fuel economy.

Same, I was tempted to get a an E63 650i but decided to make the smart move and get a 630i…I didn’t fancy the constant oil leak issues..
The wing mirror fins are to disperse water building on the mirror glass using wind as you drive, very clever.
Hey, my 2008 Fiat Croma has blinds too at the back seat, and also heated and cooled center console as well as glove box. And thats about it :D
Isn't that the very same windscreen wiper that broke on the drive down from Scotland on one tank of petrol?

3.55 in my old 750iL, you could program the car with a 4 digit PIN code. This meant that even if someone stole the key to your German wheeled mansion (vierrädrige Villa), unless they knew the PIN, the engine won't start. That feature may be available on your 760.

yeah quite a lot with older BMs, look for something with under 100k or be prepared to spend a few thousand every MOT, they are not very reliable
@@Deeznutsmynamejeff21 mine had 201,000 by its very first MoT and has covered another 67,000 miles since... aside from it developing a misfire on all twelve, it has been very reliable!
@@richardharrold9736 it’s an alright car just watch for the transmission since it’s one of the most common problems on the car.
since you have 200k miles you might as well replace flex disc and center support bearing for the driveshaft. I’ve replaced mine and it’s shifting buttery smooth no more rough shifts :)

I believe the rear view mirrors are designed to direct the rain to keep them clear.
The grooves on the mirrors stop air thumping when the window is down
I would guess those winglets on the mirrors are to reduce cabin noise primarily.
The mirror vanes are for aerodynamics but they are to help quieten wind noise rather than speed

They are decent daily beaters. I have a few to to with my more expensive watches. Seiko nh35a movement is pretty good as well, assuming Joel's is an auto.

It's funny...I have the same Z4 you had or still have, and since you dived into this model, it's piqued my interest to look for one as well. Only one issue. SIZE. Going from a Z4 to a boat must not be easy....Driving in and out of traffic, so to speak.
To be honest, it’s so easy to drive and size is rarely a problem. - I like how nimble and small the Z4 feels now

@@itsjoel Yeah. Pre facelift E65(E66)s are ugly at all. LCI cars are very nice, just these mirrors should've been changed and would be perfect design imo.
