To be honest, this looks exactly the same as the aliexpres stuff. You can tell by the welds and the finish. The welds might look nice and all but thats the typical china exhaust welds you get. No filler wire used, just melted together with Tig. An other tell tale sign is the 51mm slip on size. Only chinese brands use this as this is standard for the 2 inch shit quality stainless steel they use.
The pipe has been developed and dyno tested by a guy who owns the GT version of this bike and it has already been proven to hold up well and produce awesome power. Myself and many others are already enjoying the gains on our unrestricted GTs and GXs.

Hiya chopsy, hope you are well. I've got a pair of lextek cans on my VTR. They are brushed stainless op1s. They come with link pipes and everything to mount them. Cheap as chips and a lifetime warranty! The build quality is really good, I can't fault them. This will be the 4th winter they've done on my bike and genuinely there is zero corrosion, nothing. They've done about 30,000 miles now including a trip to the Isle of Man this year. If I'm super critical they are a bit loud without the dB killers in but that's it. If your not fussed about the badge on the side they really are worth a look.
Fabulous project diary come tutorial for us who are just a tad wary of spannering our precious toys! Lot of great tips there thanks Cant wait for the flashing and dyno insights video - The oil analysis is also a great idea - Keep up the awesome work Chopsie!
That's looking and sounding great, talk about value for the money,, good choice,, and can't wait for the next installment on the Dyno,, half the weight saved 👍👍☘️😁👍☘️ from northern Ireland
I’ve been thinking about changing the system on my Yamaha. Never considered Lextech, but now I definitely will. If I do, I’ll take it to Steve Jordan as he’s knows his stuff. Sounds pretty fruity! I can’t believe how much you got out of the motor. ❤
Ive got a lextek end can on my 2001 r1 and its a howler over 3k rpm. Bandit 1200 has a full black widow system. Sadly i cant find a full system that is road legal for the r1 whilst deleting the exup. But the lextek is superb!
Lextech looks like a good system. Good choice. Maybe just one small tip is there should be a drain bolt for the coolant on the pump, or pop the hose off there. Might let you catch a bit more. Great work though, and looking forward to the series. 👍👍
Every tester said these were 150BHP,they were nowhere near it...if you can buy any bike new today with a K5 motor over 130BHP, you're doing well! Uncorked and flashed, you might see around the 150 mark?
Great stuff chopsy , looks and sounds a lot better and great price for full system 😮😮😮 they don't do end cans for speed twin do they 😀😀 looking forward to the footering and dyno run .👍👍👍
Are you sure it was a gasket sealant from Lextek with slip joints, you normally use a anti seize / anti corrosion paste? Copper slip should only be used on mild/carbon steel, its reactive with stainless steel and can cause galling, a Aluminium or Nickel paste like Permatex 77164
I've been using Silkolene since the mid 90's & worked with them professionally for a few years too. I can confirm their technical guys & support they provide is brilliant. I use Comp 4 in all my pre 2020 bikes & Pro 4 for the later ones. The Lextek exhaust looks the biz, it doesn't matter where it's built, so long as you can get the product support. TBH I may have chose a GX if I knew the exhaust & CPU restrictions could have been so ahem easily liberated lol The full factory Akro for a V4S Multi is horrendously expensive by comparison 😮 Looking forward to part 2🤘
This bike is at the top of my list right now. Thank Chopsie. I enjoy your videos. Nice selection of bikes in there😅 I just sold my '21 R1250GS. I try something different every few years. I wanted something sportier and fun to look at. The GX definitely fits that bill for me so far. My first real bike was a new 2007 gsxr 750, dark purple-blue n black. After a good fall, it was the bright blue n white. The bright blue n gray GX gets me so excited. I LOVE that color on that bike. It's very classic Gixxer. Here in the US we get the shit sage green! I'm going to buy one and have it painted blue and the rims powder coated blue. There's some dealers selling them for $2-4k less than MSRP. How do you like riding it? Is it awesome? Any weak areas? Comfortable? I'm a one bike but for now and do 150-300 mile one day rides most weekends. The GS was pretty comfortable. I'll miss the heated seat! Lol. Thanks again and cheers from an avid rider from the States. PS. I'm 52 and need some comfort due to running a physical business for 30 years. Soreness comes up pretty quickly. This bike seems perfect balance of general comfort and sporty fun.
Be interested to see how much better it rides, I had the original gsxs100 with a full system and pc. Was loads better in midrange and it spit flame the most important thing 🔥🔥
Hi Chop, hope you’re well. Just started watching your vid, where can I get myself one of those flash remote controlled bike lifts? (Right back to your video 👍🏼)
@ cheers! I was thinking of the ABBA sky lift, but watching how easy it is to just push a button does look appealing 👍🏼 Love the video, looking forward to seeing the GX with the new map
@ “Super easy” is the preferred option these days! 😂 Cheers though, will seriously consider the sky lift too, I have a dozen different abba adapters with their superbike stand and the quality is second to none 👌🏽 Keep up the awesome work with the videos mate, they’re spot on 👍🏼

That's amazing value. In the intro I was thinking Lextek was going to be some AliExpress jobby & was thinking it wasn't on brand for you but straight away the welds were blatantly much better than you'd expect. Even the cover lines up well with the belly pan plastics.
Been running Lextek on all my bikes since 2018...can't stand the importer or his non existent back up service, but the product is good! Probably someone has given him a good slap by now for his cheek?
Come on, lextek sent you the exhaust and you thought ' sure, why not'. Question is, did they pay you? NP if they did ofc, but hope that you say so during the vid!
There isn't any other UK companies that make a full system! So options are very limited, yes they did supply me the exhaust but no money has changed hands

Put your silencer bracket the other side and you will get a bit more clearance from the swingarm, and it will look better.

Wow fantastic feedback! Yeah I wasn't expecting them to be anywhere near the quality they are. Great they have even lasted well 👍

Interesting vid. A very enjoyable watch & really looking forward to the next installment. I'm guessing about +10-15rwbhp after the flash.
