    I had a laparoscopy myomectomy in June 2021. I had 6 fibroids and they made my life hell. My flow was extremely heavy and painful I resorted to using diapers instead of pads I would literally change it every 2 hrs. Fast forward January 2022 my flow is very light now, anemia, pain, huge clots during periods are gone. I spotted lightly for 5months post myomectomy however I’m very happy now. Everything is back to normal. Trying for a baby now. Please keep me in your prayers

      @@veryvanessa The doctors didn't warn me about it either. (Typical! 😮‍💨). They're approach to it was equivalent to getting your teeth pulled.
      I truly think it's tied to almost post pardum depression in that, if your uterus experiences trauma (surgeries, births, etc.), one of side affects is depression. Post-Op care should really include not just the body but also mind & soul.

    • @veryvanessa
      @veryvanessa  2 года назад +3

      This is FACTS! It really upsets me that women go through this without knowing it could happen. They require counseling for invasive procedures like gastric sleeves. It should definitely be apart of post op care.

    Hey girl I been binge watching your videos. I can relate to your story except for the surgeries. It is overall tough. We are 3 part spirit, soul and body. If any are out of wack so are we. I've done the vegan, vegatarian, herbs (everything youve mentioned), done the fertility tests, TTC, etc. and still am here. Your younger than I am so do not give up. Therapy does help as well. God has also been my strength as the depression over all this can get real. You may think youve done everything right and yet still have not accomplished your goal. God says not by our might but, by His power. Take your time and enjoy your life and health. TTC and staying on the healthy track can become like an idol even if it is an already established way of life. Loved all your videos and commented on a few. Remebmer you are not alone and none of it is your fault. Hoping and praying for you to continue on strong 💗.

I had the will power to adopt a vegan diet last year for a year and now that I’ve been eating “regular” for the past 9 months it’s SOOOOO HARD going back. Even considering the fact that I gained 40 pounds from where I was it’s still such a huge challenge going back 😩 I don’t know what it is about trying to transition back

    • @veryvanessa
      @veryvanessa  2 года назад +3

      It’s soooo hard because the body craves what circulates in the blood. If acidity and junk food is still circulating in your system it’ll be hard to convince the body to crave healthier choices. That’s why fasting is so imperative. Controlling your body and saying no to eating harmful foods. It’s a process but I think fasting is a good place to start and cleansing your colon helps too.

    I'm so glad you're doing better now, I've followed your story for a while. I'm going down the route of UFE for my fibroids. I've got 15 apparently 😩, most of them are very small but I have two that are quite big, my womb is so compromised I was told that I won't be able to carry a baby until I have treatment because there's no room for a baby to grow. The largest is low down near my cervix and is just under 9cm in size. I was convinced that UFE is my best option, I've even found a hospital in the UK that offers Gelbead UFE instead of plastic, the beads are resorbed by the body after 12 weeks. The Doctors who conducted the study theorise that this type is less likely to cause ovarian impairment if the beads did somehow migrate. I'm more scared though after seeing your story, I wanted to ask, were you aware of how many procedures and the experience level of the Radiologist who did your UFE prior to going ahead? The doctor I want to see has done over 850, it's reassured me but I am still dubious. Everything I've read about necrotic tissue and complications after UFE states that it's rare. I've also only ever seen that UFE has a high success rate and I've read a lot of papers!. Did you learn anything about why yours failed? Or why you had this scar tissue afterwards? Lastly the things that put me off myomectomy are obviously the risk of hysterectomy but also the drugs (GnRH Analogues) I'd have to take prior to surgery that shrink the fibroids and put your body into a menopausal state. Did you take the drugs before your surgery? I did some research and found that there were a lot of complaints to the FDA so that scared me. Some women said they were still suffering the effects of the drugs long after the surgery. I'm really confused and scared now. I want to make the right choice! Fibroids really are a nightmare 😟

    • @veryvanessa
      @veryvanessa  2 года назад +3

      If you’re wanting to have children UFE is not an ideal option because there’s limiting blood flow to the pelvis and possible loss of blood flow to the ovaries, scar tissue that forms, remaining fibroid dead tissue like what happened to me. You need to see a fertility specialist / reproductive endocrinologist and have some testing/ imaging done to see if it’s necessary ti remove your fibroids prior to conception. For my myomectomy I did not have to take any medications prior to. And it was my fertility doctor that performed my surgery. Wish you the best! Again I personally cannot recommend UFE but you have to do what’s best for you!

    • @MarcyM1
      @MarcyM1 2 года назад +1

      @@veryvanessa Hey Vanessa, thanks for getting back to me. I'm aware of the risk of ovarian impairment which is why I did a lot of research and found out about Gelbead UFE, there are no plastics that remain in the arteries after 12 weeks, the gelatin embolic agent is resorbed by the body so full blood flow is restored to the uterus after the fibroids are devascularised . I've had MRI's and two laparoscopic investigative surgeries, after this I was advised I wouldn't be able to carry a baby because my womb is being pushed to the left and there is no room, essentially I would miscarry or be in excruciating pain and risk complications later on, there are no issues affecting my ability to conceive as far as I'm aware, my ovaries are unremarkable and I wasn't told that the fibroids were obstructing my fallopian tubes etc. As I said everything I've learned about UFE, states that complications are rare, so I was wondering if you feel that your outcome had anything to do with the experience level of the Radiologist? One of the things I read about was that they're not sure what causes ovarian failure or early menopause after UFE but that the skill level and experience of the Doctor may be one of the main causes. Did you know how many procedures your doctor had done prior? I know you do thorough research but wasn't sure if you'd asked that question. I know you said your aunt had UFE, did she have any issues? In terms of me seeing a fertility specialist/endocrinologist I think I'd have to do it privately and it would probably be way too expensive. We have the National Health service in the UK which is free (not really, we pay national insurance) but we get less focused care than if we visit a private hospital/doctor.

    • @veryvanessa
      @veryvanessa  2 года назад +1

      Again, you should consult with your doctor regarding any medical advice or decisions you need to make regarding surgery. I can’t tell you which way to go or not go. I can only tell you UFE did not work for me. Have a blessed day 💚✨

    • @MarcyM1
      @MarcyM1 2 года назад

      @@veryvanessa Thanks, I would never expect you to advise me which route to take, I'm more interested in your experience with the Radiologist. I'm presuming you did a lot of research initially and read up on some of the data and then felt the benefits would out way the risk. Which is why I asked if you'd known how many procedures they'd carried out prior to yours. I've been advised by a Radiologist myself that's it's important to have up to date scans, ask them if they can see any vascular variations that could be problematic and ask how many procedures they'd done so far etc, the first IR I saw had only done 20, I would never let him treat me,so It's just helpful to know about other peoples experience. Apologies if that's not something that you wanted to share. I just assumed it was OK to ask as there's already so much info on your channel. I'll definitely look at some of the comments you mentioned. Just think it's important to know the variables.

I'm not willing for my first option to be any type of ectomy and scheduled the ufe without asking much about recovery. Now I been up since 3 am and I'm thinking of trying Keto cuz some say it's all insulin causing this. Which makes sense why black women are so affected by both this and diabetes. Carbs n sugar. Sorry for rambling. Although it's heartbreaking to hear about your challenge with conception I can tell you that your story is healing and maturing the whole race of little girls. You are more maternal and feminine and powerful than many biological mothers could even claim to be.

      Try to not bend excessively in the first month. I laid down a lot, tried not to sit up for too long. After about 6 weeks I started doing womb massages with an infused oil that had herbs to increase circulation and help break down scar tissue.

    I’m new to your channel. You mention black women and I didn’t think you were. It’s refreshing but I figure you weren’t and had a different experience. What is your nationality?

      Okay cool. Thank you for sharing your story. It definitely an eye opener to your procedure. It helped me in my situation. Three months ago I decided on the Acessa procedure. I only had one post op appt and next month I’ll know more info like if their gone. Fingers crossed their gone. I’m 40 yrs old no kids no husband but still hopeful to meet someone and have them. Finger crossed as well. I’m thankful for you and brave enough to share with strangers. Thank you for being you
