I used to race against Alan in high school and he was the real deal. Indoor track for districts he would do the 1600, 500, 1000 back to back to back. We would put our fastest guys up against him and he always won. He made it look so easy. Glad he's still grinding 💪🏽 good luck Alan from an Oakton Cougar

This driven series was from around 2014 I believe. Not sure how hard he’s going on the triathlons at the moment.

people talk about milers sometimes as distance runners but he could’ve been a world class 800 runner, he was extremely fast

have a 340W threshold/2hr on the bike? thats pretty competitive Tri... also a good steady on swim. Eventually... just seasons of training... everyone knows Webb knows how to train.... would be cool to see. olympic tri is a beast ex runner distance... he could probably win the Olympic triathlon.... / looked it up more, His TRI adventures are already done pretty much... top15 at ITUs (impressive)

The elephant in the room is that Alan Webb most likely has either an eating disorder or some undiagnosed disorder where his body shutdown on him which is why his career was a rollercoaster. One year breaking AR and then next year crashing. Anyone who looks at him and his weight fluctuation year to year should be able to see this.

I think it was more due to different approaches to weight training

A shame he couldn't also break his habit of being an immature entitled brat. He destroyed his career by immediately leaving coaches the moment things didn't go exactly how he wanted.
