Since this song came out, it became the only way my entire family sings happy birthday. Happy Birthday Dr. King. The only way the world can ever repay the debt owed to you, is by living our lives with love, kindness, and justice for all.
My parents were in college at Morehouse College (my dad) and Spelman College (my mom) at the time that Dr. King was a student at Morehouse. My mother had a class with him and described him as quiet and shy, and she was always amazed at what a powerful, eloquent and totally inspiring person he turned out to be. Such a fantastic choice you guys - Happy MLK Day to you both. Way back in 1987, I went to a celebration of Dr. King's life here in Toronto on January 15, long before it was finally made a holiday in the U.S., and I remember not understanding at all how anyone could be opposed to it. I still have a cassette I bought that day with all of his recorded speeches that I listen to sometimes, to remember both how far things have come, and how much more work still needs to be done. Peace and love to you and the family!

Love this tribute and I hope he was with you as you showed this video. My mom used to cry when they showed speeches from him, President John Kenedy. and others. It was a touching moment in United States History. The mid-1960's.
If you have not ever read Martin Luther Kings "I have a Dream" speech and I mean read it and not listen to it, you should. I believe this is essential to truly understanding the mind of this great man. God bless all of you.
Very nice! Something I have made a personal tradition on MLK Day for more than 30 years is to read Dr. King's "Letter From Birmingham Jail". It's not that long, easily read in 15 minutes or so. If you've not read it, or you read it long ago and don't remember it, perhaps you'll take the time to read it today. It's easy to find online, if you're interested.
To see the joy at the realization, made this old man tear up for sure. Check out Fngertips, when he was Little Stevie Wonder. Was 11? Btw, it is all harmonica.
I hope you will follow this up with Harry Belafonte’s “Abraham, Martin & John”. Belafonte was very active with Dr King and recorded a touching tribute to the slain leaders who each affected civil rights in their own way, but were killed before they could complete their missions.
Great Song by Stevie! Thanks for the reaction - another great MLK-Song ist "Shed A Little Light" by James Taylor 😉 always thought this one is underrated...
Glad you loved this ❤. When I first heard this in 1980, when it came out I played it constantly. I was 18, living at my parents in England. One memorable night, that my entire family has never let me forget, I came home after a few beers and silently made my way to my room, as the rest of the house was asleep. I put my headphones on and put this single on very loud through my headphones as i lay in bed..a last listen before sleep. Suddenly I was aware of the light to my room going on, opened my eyes and saw my dad in his pyjamas mouthing at me, but couldn't hear him over the music. I pulled my headphones off to find I hadn't plugged them in fully and Stevie was blasting out of my speakers at around 1am!! 😂. My very tolerant father was not amused and im reminded of this by him every time he hears it 😂. I must have woken the entire street! 😂. Beautiful song and great reaction. Love and laughter ❤

It’s on the playlist at our house for those occasions, too. Enjoy this day as we reflect on the ways we must all work together for peace, understanding, and justice.
Women in red by stevie wonder great dance song
Love this tribute and I hope he was with you as you showed this video. My mom used to cry when they showed speeches from him, President John Kenedy. and others. It was a touching moment in United States History. The mid-1960's.
I lived in Atlanta last year & saw the exterior of his childhood home & the original Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Thanks guys! This may be my favorite of your reaction videos ever!
Congratulations on your milestone! Onward and upward!
Thx! MLK deserves every tribute! Stevie is the best! Hey you want some groovy tunes check out the Rascals especially “People got to be free!”
Happy MLK to all!
To see the joy at the realization, made this old man tear up for sure. Check out Fngertips, when he was Little Stevie Wonder. Was 11? Btw, it is all harmonica.
An amazing song!! ❤️
Happy Martin Luther King day . Great song .
I hope you will follow this up with Harry Belafonte’s “Abraham, Martin & John”. Belafonte was very active with Dr King and recorded a touching tribute to the slain leaders who each affected civil rights in their own way, but were killed before they could complete their missions.
Harry is part of the chorus for "We are the World"
Great selection for today 😊
Great Song by Stevie! Thanks for the reaction - another great MLK-Song ist "Shed A Little Light" by James Taylor 😉 always thought this one is underrated...
Happy MLK
Great choice for such a great man
Great reaction and as always, good job, guys!
You guys make me smile everyday ☺! I am 59 years old and I don't ever remember hearing this BEAUTIFUL tribute to an OUTSTANDING American in its entirety and I have TRULY missed out until today. I thank you and my fellow sister and brother subscribers for making this an amazing day! I can't believe I somehow slept on one of Stevie's amazing songs. Shame on me! Y'all keep doing you and I'm here for the long haul! (Tears streaming down my face and all. Lol) 👍❤
