@@NoNameTheOriginal I enjoyed ghostmaker more than I thought I would I think my favorites from this run may have been Their dark designs or joker war 🦇 What about you?
@@TheComicBookReport Those two are probably my favorites as well. Once I finished Fear state I wanted to go back and read them again. The art was amazing and I love what Batman was having to deal with in those two stories. From the aftermath of City of Bane and the loss of Alfred to losing his company and the Joker who is just hellbent on ruining his life. And I gotta say that Batman’s speech to Miracle Molly at the end of Fear State was great and tied up Fear State so nicely. Batman at his best there.
@@NoNameTheOriginal I agree! I do think Tynion really showed the hope aspect for Batman which was refreshing and I think that Miracle Molly speech is the perfect example. I cannot wait to check out Zdarsky’s stuff
Yeah I may still upgrade, honestly I read the saga on digital and I really think some of its extra issues help to fill out this storyline for me. This is still a fun Batman adventure and a very eerie scarecrow plot, but the Saga definitely provides a fuller picture of the characters and general happenings. 🦇📚 I’m just happy to have finally finished out Tynion’s Batman era :) Thanks for swinging by
I ordered the Nightwing: fearstate tpb several days ago… I suppose I can enjoy it even though I haven’t read this one? Really have to start reading Tynion’s Batman run. Thanks, Dominick.
I have not read that myself but I’d say maybe? Haha books that have event tie-ins are always difficult to review for me sometimes they have divert from the main title’s narrative. I am curious to see what you think :) I would assume reading the volume you’re picking up would be fine other than potentially spoiling some of this event? And yeah Tynion’s batman had some high points for me but I maybe preferred the King run before it. I did love Their Dark Designs. Tynion’s first Batman arc during this run
@@TheComicBookReport I saw your review on Their dark designs. It looked cool. I ordered this Nightwing because chronologically it comes before the Get Grayson tpb and I thought it was necessary to read this one girst. We’ll see. I will let you know. 👍
@@TheComicBookReport I’ve thought about it but money’s very tight right now, and the local library here is horribly lacking in the graphic novel department. Jorge Jimenez’s artwork is so amazing, isn’t it? One of my favorite artists working today.
Honestly am confused so james tynion writing began with their dark designs vol and ended with fear state ? or I need as well to read abyss too to wrap up the story thank you 🙏
Hi! Abyss was written by Joshua Williamson :) If you’re collecting these editions Tynion’s proper Batman run is yes Their Dark Designs through Fear State.
Just finished reading this book. Tynion’s run was great!
Yeah it maybe wasn’t my favorite run but lots of incredible moments. I really loved their dark designs 👏🦇🦇🦇
@@TheComicBookReport That was a great book too, Ghost Stories was meh though, didn’t care for Ghostmaker at all.

I wish ya had the saga edition you did a good job of selling me on it! Art looks fantastic in this 🔥

Pretty good voice acting in the intro, Dom.
