Emma won two very big matches, coming from a set down in both. She showed that she is a very good tennis player, has some great shots and has power when she wants it. The good thing is that she still has margin for improvement: She could close more points at the net when she's dominating the rally, her passing shots could do with work, and tactically shot selection could be better (match point at 5-4 she chose to go to Parry's forehand when attacking the net instead of the backhand). Nevertheless, she is very entertaining to watch, her tennis is beautiful and I think she can become top 10 if she stays fit. People have been way too hard on her. Injuries happen to people and it's just one of those things she has had to deal with. She's still so young, and even younger in terms of her tennis experience. She just needs to get on a few good runs in big tournaments now. Let's go Emma!

Never seen such a great match - not since that US Open final with Fernandez. I was left overjoyed, but exhausted.
Parry came back strong forcing a tie-break - but then Emma went up another couple of gears! WOW!! WOW! WOW!
Come on Team GB - people never give us the credit we deserve. To beat such a strong team without the need for a doubles rubber is fantastic.

Raducanu's serve was on point, and her down-the-line shot was seemingly on command. I get the feeling that some players feel it's the lowest of lows to lose to her - like the world isn't right on its axis if that happens ("How can she be beautiful, rich, and *that* talented!?"). So it gives me a lot of pleasure when she beats these players handily 😁

Emma exciting. She have good court coverage. She energetic. And. Finally. She happy, cuz she catching up to the future version of herself, which we seen win US Open, a few year ago. It win win, if she play well, move up the ranking, and her fan get to see more of her. Last 6 months, how many clip I see on 'Radacanu Injured.' If I a player, I not sure I like losing to her, though. Crowd seem a bit TOO happy, eventhough she in France, play home team. Maybe it just the minority, really get into the win. So many personalities in WTA. Before. No one could beat top 3 in any tournament. But better tour, 2024.

Not a WTA tournament I know but this is a great performance from the GB team, particularly Emma Raducanu. 2 wins secured the rubber for us. Considering GB players are not supposed to play well on clay this was a phenomenal overall performance. Emma beat world ranked no 24 and 47 French players so she is playing well above her current ranking but of course, does not have any ranking points. Has to improve again to take on the big hitters on clay.

Exactly, this is what a healthy and fit Emma can produce, such a shame her 2023 season was a write-off. But anyone who can win a Slam as a qualifier as her first WTA trophy with so little experience has got to be someone exceptional since most players don't win a major in their entire career let alone winning it as a qualifier and Garcia is still waiting for her first one at 30.

With Emma it's always a case of how many sponsors to keep out rather than how many want to sponsor her like with most players and her present lucrative deals won't interfere with her tennis in any way because her agent Eisenbud recently pointed out that they have turned down millions to ensure that's the case.
