The line judge interrupted the point, Elena didn’t stop the point to challenge. So after the line judge interrupted the point, the umpire corrects the call and then Elena challenges the correction. The challenge failed, so the point should be replayed because it was interrupted by the incorrect out call by line judge. If the ball was shown out by challenge, it would actually be Elena’s point. So the umpire was actually wrong in saying that regardless of the outcome of challenge it would be replay.
This seems to be a very common misconception. In tennis you cannot have 2 chances of winning the point. You cannot say "I will challenge this ball. If it's out I win the point. If it's in we replay the point. It's a win-win situation for me." You cannot have it both ways. Either you take the chance and challenge, or you replay the point.
@@fredthechamp3475 if the ball was out, the point is won by Elena because her opponent hits it out. If the ball was in, the point is replayed because the rally would have continued with Elena already there hitting the ball. The line judge calls the ball out, umpire corrects and calls it in. Elena then challenges that correction of it being called in. It would have been different if she had been the one to stop the point and challenged the ball being in/out. If she stops the point and challenges and the ball was in, she loses the point because she stopped the point. If ball was out, she wins the point. So you see, it’s different situation based on what interrupted the point.
@@fredthechamp3475 Rybakina would not have missed the shot if they didn’t call it out. Likewise you don’t win the point just because it hit the line and the point was stopped. You have to hit a winner before the call to get the point(like Rybakina’s ace against Sabalenka that they stole from her) If the judge stops the point because they thought it was out and you miss the shot or don’t keep playing when it was actually in then it is their fault for being wrong and the point is restarted. If the other player hits it out and the judge says it was in but you challenge the call and it ends up being out then the other player wasn’t affected by the call and they lose the point.
Sabalenka could've easily just given the point to Rybakina as she deserved since the umpire was high and/or blind, but you can't expect much sportsmanship from her :D

Probably nothing happened, I wouldn’t be surprised. All the technology they have now and they can’t look at a replay of the point, it would of took one look to show her mistake.

Her dramatic change of her home to Kazakhstan was something that has had great bearing on her attitude and overall approach to what she wants to contribute to people and organizations worthy of her generosity. She is absolutely gorgeous and when we combine her inner strength, composure, compassion and confidence to describe who she is, let me repeat what I previously said, "She is one of the most beautiful women in the world!"
I understand what you are saying. The only reason I didn’t credit it in the description is because it does say it’s in the top corner Tennis Advocate. Plus I assure you, I make no profit out of these videos. I only do it for fun and for the Elena fans.
She lost that match and that was huge because this was the 4th round and Sabalenka lost in the semifinal. If Rybakina had won this match she probably would have won Wimbledon in 2021 AND 2022 and her career would be much different now, especially with Wimbledon counting for points.

The umpire was not wrong, just badly worded. You know exactly what she meant.
@@fredthechamp3475
Rybakina would not have missed the shot if they didn’t call it out.
Likewise you don’t win the point just because it hit the line and the point was stopped. You have to hit a winner before the call to get the point(like Rybakina’s ace against Sabalenka that they stole from her)
If the judge stops the point because they thought it was out and you miss the shot or don’t keep playing when it was actually in then it is their fault for being wrong and the point is restarted. If the other player hits it out and the judge says it was in but you challenge the call and it ends up being out then the other player wasn’t affected by the call and they lose the point.
@@jann84
The umpire was completely wrong in both cases
Sabalenka could've easily just given the point to Rybakina as she deserved since the umpire was high and/or blind, but you can't expect much sportsmanship from her :D
Setelah Maria Sharapova tidak main lagi, atlet tenis idola pindah Elena Rybakina, semoga Rybakina terus berprestasi di Tenis.
Bella, educada, inteligente, excelente deportista, la clase viene de cuna,de nacimiento,
just don't tell the Kazakhs about it
She’s still very classy even when she’s arguing. The last one she was clearly cheated and it may have psychologically affected the rest of her match.
The fact that the first umpire asks and recognize her mistakes it’s the right choice
100% for Martec. Don't worry about losing the match; the fans you'll gain for that show of sportsmanship will outweigh the loss 10x.
What an incompetent umpire. She should be fined.
Jelena is absolutely right at Wimbledon. The umpire will not be fined for her mistake.
If it was Selena Williams there instead, she will turn the umpires into mashed potato
umpire that admits a mistake...Human
Umpire should be given an award for admitting. It never happens, but its good word to say 'I was confused . . "
Will resolve a lot of things.
Yeah, but will they get a fine? Players are treated so bad in comparison to these umpires or press conference attendees.
@@_o..o_1871 The ones who make mistakes without correcting them should be. If an umpire gets something wrong, admits the mistake and corrects themselves, I don't see why they should be fined. People get things wrong, but on the rare occasion that an umpire admits a mistake, there's usually no harm done.
Елена Огромное Спасибо за Умблдон ! ВЫ СУПЕР !!!
You can tell umpires take advantage of Rybakina’s soft spoken nature. If she was more aggressive, loud and angry then she would get different treatment. Pretty unfair.
Screamalenka just stood there the whole time knowing full well that it should be Rybakina’s point.
And apparently no one has anything to say about Sabalenka's lack of sportmanship... it was a clear ace... she should have give Rybakina the point...
An umpire admitting they were wrong??? Holy fuck glad I was sitting down.
That last point literally cost her the match against Sabalenka
Sabalenka, is a disgrace. She should just say that the serve was good and moved on.
That is a classy way to protest, she was right in the match against Sablenka.
She was right in the other case too.
Those quiet people are dangerous
Quiet “russian” people are dangerous. Lol 😂
The last umpire should be taken out of the sport 😂😅😂😅😂😅
Umpire needs to get fired 🔥
Now, I'm curious what happened after with that umpire at Wimbledon?
Probably nothing happened, I wouldn’t be surprised. All the technology they have now and they can’t look at a replay of the point, it would of took one look to show her mistake.
right after that happen, im pretty she was making up with her husband, laughing at "i'm not so sure..."
she belong to the street
Many ppl like Sabalenka, but for some reason I always have a bad feeling about her. Now I know why: she has no sportsmanship at all and also a very cunning, performative personality.
Love how low key she is!
Какая же она красивая
Great sportsmanship from stupidenka
There is all this technology in tennis but not even a replay screen where the chair umpire can rewatch the play 😢
Sabalanka once more showing her true character.....
The umpire should just admit the mistake at this Wimbledon match! Need to install Hawkeye watching the umpires too ...
Lov Lov Lov Rybakinaaa❤❤. Martin. Italia
Her dramatic change of her home to Kazakhstan was something that has had great bearing on her attitude and overall approach to what she wants to contribute to people and organizations worthy of her generosity. And why was the video reluctant to bring up the fact that Elena is one of the most beautiful women in the world? She is absolutely gorgeous and when we combine her inner strength, composure, compassion and confidence to describe who she is, let me repeat what I previously said, "She is one of the most beautiful women in the world!"
last umpire terrible, and Sabalenka should've been a good sportslady and concede the point
Nobody that I know of has 'accused' Saba of being a good sport, and after watching quite a few of her matches, I'm not about to, either.
Лена машина! Лучшая!!!
sometimes tennis umpires remind me of those life guards sitting on the beach doing nothing🤣
Позитивный настрой заметен! Это хорошо! Удачного турнира!
All these clips are from Tennis Advocate, you should give credit in the description
I understand what you are saying. The only reason I didn’t credit it in the description is because it does say it’s in the top corner Tennis Advocate. Plus I assure you, I make no profit out of these videos. I only do it for fun and for the Elena fans.
@@elenarybakina_fan_page5916 ah fair enough :)
Très belle
Très modeste
Une joueuse magnétique sur le court
Toujours souriante
J adore cette fille 💕✍🎾🎾
Why can't they show the replay to the players? They should change the rules by now. How is it still happening?
Yay, Subscribed as 999th :D :D :D love this tennis player - this channel should be so much bigger!!!!
routing for you Elena!!!!!!!! go get those wins!!!!!🎉❤
That last umpire was smug and smirking. Elena was robbed of a point and that can affect an entire match. Thank goodness she managed to get through
She lost that match and that was huge because this was the 4th round and Sabalenka lost in the semifinal.
If Rybakina had won this match she probably would have won Wimbledon in 2021 AND 2022 and her career would be much different now, especially with Wimbledon counting for points.
I love her always have. Love her coy smiles and nothing rattles her.
Some terrible chair umpires is the theme of this video
C,est une jeune tres gentil
Go Elena!!!!! Ur a class act gurl!!!!!
Too bad she didn’t get all those points from winning Wimbledon
Yes I agree she would have been in Top 5
That "Oh boy" in the end xD
She's quiet compared to the one like Sabalenka
That first umpire is the best umpire I’ve ever seen. This is based solely on the fact that she realized she made a mistake, and corrected it - as opposed to gaslighting and flat out lying in an utter display of arrogance as per usual
Can't even hear her LOL
Yep that incident at Wimbledon, thats disturbingly embarrassing for Wimbledon and not good for the game !
I admire the players who either admit a call that wont favour them or agree to replay points. Not many do it, their egos and desperation to win get in the way so kudos to those players who are honest, THEY not Djokovic are the REAL GOATS of the circuit.
Sabalenka should have surrendered the point
Trust me she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen
I just heard the crowd say, "Poor Elena." That's funny, hehe.
Do you have by any chance WImbledon Champions dinner 2022 footage?
Unfortunately no, I don’t think they get recorded for the public to see. Sorry
@@elenarybakina_fan_page5916 They do get recorded. You can even search for the previous years' champions dinner videos but unfortunately I couldn't find any thing from this year's.
Adoro como juega, y sobre todo, adoro su bello rostro angelical.
I think she is standing up for herself, in all those cases umpires are at fault. And she is still very composed.
