I think in Soccer and Cricket an umpire never has to please, pacify or stoop down to a player.Umpire is being too kind explaining his decision not required.
in tennis the players have so much influence that they can cancel umpires if they dont like them. Sounds good that players have a lot of influence but thats the reason umpires with one leg are kicked out if they take a stand against celeb player shitheads like Kyrgios or Serena Williams.
@@listrahtes 🙂oh thats news to me as I am not a follower of tennis but believe that umpire needs to set equilibrium to the game giving confidence to players and viewers that the outcome was fair and not due to favourtism or undue imfluence🙂f the players
In hockey if you start mouthing off to the ref you'll get a unsportsmanlike penalty. In tennis it seems like the umpire is a meek parent too afraid to discipline his spoiled child.

I wouldn't use the term "badass" - I thought he handled the situation(s) superbly. If he'd been badass, the match would have been over by default halfway through the second set, and nobody would want that. Brilliant umpiring.
This man is an amazing umpire and judge. Puts the match above himself and does his damndest to make sure both competitors are playing fairly but not ruling with an iron fist. Has a dialogue which is respectful and in the best interests of the sport.
Well, one thing we learned - great a player as Kyrgios is/was, he's fine to umpire if you're willing to make the high maintenance required. Hopefully Nishikori was so well looked after too.
Umpire is fantastic. William to show a little grace and humor and explain his reasoning. It’s a tough job because these calls can affect matches but he seems to do well and isn’t the slightest bit arrogant about his calls.
I would love to see Nicks face if the ATP banned him and he no longer made any real money. Then the ATP could say, of sorry it was an accident it was just a slip of the mouse and we hit the ban button and can’t reverse it, whoops! He’s a disgrace to tennis.
I truly want like a deep dive into his mental because at first glance he's incredibly insufferable and childlike but there's also another part in me that just wonders what made him the way he is. I've heard that he had a lot of media pressure but from what I've seen he's also like this in general
"Don't let one call destroy your concentration". That's coaching. Illegal from the coach and even more from the chair umpire. I like Lahyani very much but he overstepped his role here big time. Umpires are suppose to keep the calm and control situations. By responding to guys like Kyrgios, he taunting the beast.
Absolutely agree. He wanted to calm Kyrgios down. It is not his role to calm him down. That’s on Kyrgios and if he cannot, well, The umpire should send him home.
Lahyani would be the best parent of all time. Being able to handle a kid like Kyrgios throwing unreasonable tantrums throughout the match was no easy feat.

They can fine him, even suspend him for a few months (e.g. Zverev, Shapovalov) Additionally, unfortunately, I believe a lot more people than I would like to imagine like to watch these train wrecks. (maybe to see what he'll do next.)
Forget about his immaturity and narcissism for a second. If he actually practiced, had a coach, and ½-way listened to them, imagine how good he could be combined with his innate talent. That's what kills me. Wasted talent.
He would be in a lot more Major Finals than just the Djokovic loss.
Lastly, I could swear I saw him Hosting a Tennis talk show. Know anything about that? And who risked their career pitching that one?
02:10 - 'TOWEL !!' - why wasn't the wannabe reprimanded by the umpire for the appalling treatment of the towel boy/girl - but then the umpire barks orders at the SMALL BOY to get water for the wannabe !!
He's always been my fave umpire. So warm, yet knowledgable.
His upbringing is impeccable lol, his parents must be really proud of their son lol
Can someone please buy this guy some counselling sessions for his birthday ?
Challenging your own serve because the return was amazing is absolutely hilarious to me... especially because the serve was in 😂
Loll
Right!!! And get your own water BRO!!!😮
that was the best comedy show for today :D
Didn't know in a tennis match there's a Karen calling for a supervisor too😂
Every pro should have to umpire a match now and then to appreciate that it's less easy than it looks.
If you watch his games long enough his one of the worst behaved players. If things don't go his way, he will blame the fans noise and/or get a point penalty on purpose than verbally go at the umpire all game long for that penalty. Literally scream at the umpire for the duration of the game. A loss is never his fault.
True. Reminds me a lot of John McEnroe and also Jimmy Conners.
How did Nishikori manage to stay focused haha
He is japan. different mentality.
He's Japanese man, Zen Buddhism maybe, HAHAHA.
You post great content! Thank you!
I appreciate that! Thank you for the kind words ❤️
Kyrgios is basically a huge knob. Highly talented yes, but even in the wimbledon final the way he kept arguing with his team in the stands...its just pathetic attention seeking.
Mohamed Lahyani is an excellent umpire. He always keeps his cool like a badass while trying to explain the rules of tennis to angry frustrated players. He knows wassup
This was hilarious 😂😂. What a gem
Lahyani is the best umpire, props to him for getting an apology out of Kyrgios!
Not sure why this umpire is engaging with this Kyrgios player over circular argumentative arguments - just dock him a point every time he loses his rag !
If there was ever sports-related dream scenario for me, it would be Pierluigi Collina guest-umpiring a Kyrgios match.
"slipped out of my hand" 😂
My most favorite umpire! Mohamad is a sweetheart ❤
MOHAMED LAHYANI Y'ALL WHAT A MAN
The Best Man Won! Nishikori is a true champ!
- From India 🇮🇳 with Love ❤
Kyrgios, one of the worst ambassadors for the game, ever.
In Rugby the refs/umpires are really well respected by the players as well.
“It slipped out of my hand” is crazy lmao
Giving a call on your own first serve because the return was so good hoping for your seconds is really low low attitude
It's a match point and you have a challenge remaining, cmon it's desperate but worth a try 😅 my thinking though is it shouldn't be allowed because of how delayed his challenge maybe
I wouldn't use the term "badass" - I thought he handled the situation(s) superbly. If he'd been badass, the match would have been over by default halfway through the second set, and nobody would want that. Brilliant umpiring.
I hope we see Kyrgios never again.
I get that he makes everything worse but that starting clip “it slip out of my hand” makes me LOL hard
Must be a monster in private.
This man is an amazing umpire and judge. Puts the match above himself and does his damndest to make sure both competitors are playing fairly but not ruling with an iron fist. Has a dialogue which is respectful and in the best interests of the sport.
Nick is just a pure disgrace to tennis. He should just quit.
Well, one thing we learned - great a player as Kyrgios is/was, he's fine to umpire if you're willing to make the high maintenance required. Hopefully Nishikori was so well looked after too.
I heard he doesn't tip either...amd he leaves the toilet seat up.
Lahyani was as gentle as a true gentleman could be 😊
I never understood how tennis would even have someone like him in there sport such a bad look
He’s a talented player, no doubt. He’s earned his way there. But he’s defo a super unpleasant player to see.
I truly want like a deep dive into his mental because at first glance he's incredibly insufferable and childlike but there's also another part in me that just wonders what made him the way he is. I've heard that he had a lot of media pressure but from what I've seen he's also like this in general
Best called game ever. This should be on that man's highlight reel.
Great work from the Umpire.. and NIck is a competitor and great athlete.. what a player
The umpire is a saint.
Lahyani would be the best parent of all time. Being able to handle a kid like Kyrgios throwing unreasonable tantrums throughout the match was no easy feat.
I was kinda waiting for muhamed (sorry for spelling) to say " some water for the kid " like in the title but still intersting to see nick get angry so fast, but still understandable.
The ball kid did nothing wrong , he didnt tell the ball kid first that he wants another water. Pretty pathetic to get angry at the ball kids for no reason cause he cant control himself🤦♂️
@@LukasHelmhart Yeah true it ain't fair to get angry at ballkid btw i said understandable not bcs of the ball kid but bcs he was losing
@@hackerlurcker8675 i think he was losing all of a sudden because he was angry, before he got angry he was destroying him.
This guy could have been one of the best players in the world if it wasn't for his personality. What a waste of talent.
Anyone who shouts at a kid like that is a 🤡
Kyrgios learn to be a man from Sinner
Muhamed was babysitting that game.
Kei is so calm
0:27 what has Dennis Wise got to do with it?
Tennis wise
kyrgios needs to be reprimanded more for acting like a child. The attitude and language is simply not acceptable for a professional sportsman.
what a man child
What a match tho. Real skill from both players. Saw a few exchanges i hadnt ever saw before.
Oh man he didn't say water for the kid.
Yep. "Don't recommend videos by this channel" button pressed.
Don't fool your viewers.
Nice one !!
