    Pixel shifting. A 240hz 1080p chip is shifted 4x and draws 4 different pixels at 4K60hz. It still projects 8.3 million pixels like a 4K display. In the "light" menu there's an option called "laser actuator" that you can disable to see the 1080p image with XPR disabled.

    floor rising screen, cabinet, and also 3000 pro cost me 7.5k+, but I never regret it, it brings lots of fun to me and my family!

    Whar are your thoughts about fan noise?

    I will be honest in the I almost skipped this video as I am primarily interested in Apple Home content. I am also not in the market for a new TV (etc.).
    I’m glad I did watch! As always, you provided a thoughtful and well rounded review , exposed me to new technologies that will eventually influence my next video system, and I was awe struck with the size of the screen. Some of the shots you provided going over the screen width were simply amazing. Using Half Dome on several of the shots sucked me in even more 😮.

      Thanks Dr. Cole! Yes I can see how people would overlook this but I think home entertainment is a key part of Apple smart home tech. Apple lists the category as TV and home on their website.

    Just a thought on the HK integration, we have a ceiling mounted projector in our game room and I also have an Aqara G3 to keep an eye on the kids if they are playing. I used the IR blaster in the G3 to create scenes in the Aqara app which I synced over to Apple Home and assigned those scenes to a smart button for easy on/off functionality. Just a thought since I noticed this projector came with a remote. This projector looks amazing, nice thorough video!

      That's a great suggestion! The remote is bluetooth but I think the IR control is from the Aqara hubs and cameras is very helpful for things like that. Sounds like a nice setup you have

    What about sound? Home theater sound system needed?

    • @EricWelander
      @EricWelander  2 месяца назад

      Yes you’ll need to take care of that separate from the projector. I use Sonos but it’s a whole other slew of options in that category. This project can talk to any audio system I can think of…mostly through HDMI eARC

    3D is literally the only reason I bought this projector. It's mind blowing that because some people whined about wearing glasses have stopped a whole group of other people from having a blast with it. Sounds like the rest of everything that's taken place over the last few years. It is a shame.

      + if you have spare apple sticker, slap it on the projector and it will become part of the apple ecosystem too.

    I would urge you to try out the 3D if you can, it's mind blowing with these USTs since the picture is so big lol

    Awesome video the image looks crisp even with all the lights on. AWOL Vision is the brand everyone is chasing in this category. This is their mid tier model.

      Haha yeah it's expensive. Not for everyone at this point but I think it's a sign of future tech that I bet will come down in price.

      My guy, you're on a channel that reviews apple tech. The 32in Pro Display XDR is 5k lmao. This is a steal compared to that.

    Nice review however I disagree with you in that people actually get projectors to watch 3D because TV's can't do that. Can I ask do you have a low ceiling or are you really tall ❓🤔
