@Sasha Ivantic - Man a lot of work and hours went into this one. You have a stellar line up in this as well. Great display of what these Titans are capable of individually. Love the tones, playing, and they all sound fantastic. My favorite of the one's you featured would be the one I also own, the Mythos Argo. But, I plan to pick up a Cunningham Octave Fuzz and a Reeves Twin Sound when funds allow. Much appreciated, Blessings Sir 🙏🏼
A good octave up, that has no fuzz or boost circuit, is usually best, because it can be used with any other dirt pedals. The Argo is great for that, but I found a small builder, who made the same circuit for half the price. It works great with Fuzz Faces, Benders, Muffs and many drive and Distortion pedals. I really dig using it with a Rat going into a MIAB drive pedal.
@CorbCorbin I was thinking of buying the DS Custom Octaviuzz and use it with other drives with the fuzz knob all the way down. It sounds just as good as Argo and it's almost half the price. But you intrigued me with your comment :D Who is the builder you mentioned and what's the price?
Haha, you play 13 of them, and manage to avoid the two I am still using (after trying almost everything): Fulltone Octafuzz and the Vahlbruch Octavia V2. Well, the Octavian is very close to the Fulltone pedal to my ears. I really only liked the Reeves pedal as much as these two, but somehow refuse to hunt down stuff you are only be graced to buy if sitting in front of Instagram on the 5th Wednesday of a month at 3:07 am, wearing a wok on your head a farting Old Dixie...
Every pedals good and konws something spicy, but Mythos Argo the best to me! Thanks your works, because this type pedals about 3x switch on the full concert, very special kind!
Only one pedal had that umistakable chirp and frothing that I've heard for the past 50 years on Hendrix recordings. All these sound very good ....the Argo was great, maybe even betters the original in the spectrum it covers.... ...but not "that" sound. it's a great sound, nonetheless and would be just as effective in creating a vibe. The Cunningham seemed to have more range than the old Octavia's and an even denser voice when dialed in hotter. Some of them could go well over the top of the originals. Good, or bad, depending on what you want. Some of these modern pedals have been doing what the originals were doing but more dense with much more room to tweak and control. I could rave on about alkl the others It's like they can almost be too good if you max them out.. I have the Pedal Pawn so I know what it sounds like. It's a very nice pedal. One, and only one gave me chills... .. because it's the sonic doppleganger of the Original. All of them could emulate the trademark quirks of the Mayer... ..and maybe even increase them....but only one could mirror every quirk with the exact trademark blend of timbres and harmonics... and that's the Chicago Iron. It also has a bit more musical and powerful mid and low mid muscle that would be extremely effect in the noise floor of a mix. I can see people preferring some of the others because they can be quite powerful, with more range, even moreso than the original... ..but if it's the original sound you strive for, Chicago Iron is the only one that has the finer nuances as the original.
Just like a good option, I built a BYOC tycobrahe clone which is outstanding. It has high intensity output, intense octavia tones, and a switch to use it as a fuzz which sounds and clears so well with the guitar colume knob that I’ve been using it as my main fuzz for a time. Not surprisely because it has 2N3904 and 2N3906 silicon transistors, not the original Tycobrahe ones, but the same that Roger Mayer uses in his Axis Fuzz.
Really like the Clean Octave Blend pedals. The DS Custom is probably the price point winner? Though the Argo is right in there. Dan Drive pedals are cool, but too pricey. The attack and EQ make a subtle but crazy difference between these pedals. Really just shades of gray?
I hate to admit it, but you actually sound like you can play the guitar in this video! 🙌🤪 awesome stuff mate 🚀🎸
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wait a minute 🤔

@pedalpawn I love your gear! I'll send my contact info for quality control on pedals. No charge of course as I am an artist.
It would be interesting to take your top 3 and compare them to the Odin III and the SM Octave Fuzz.

The Valbruch is the only one I’ll pay more than $100 used for.
Sasha which one is your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices? You heard and played them live..
Teach us Sasha 🙏
Perfect timing!!!
🎉🎉🎉
Thank you for uploading this! 🙏
Jesus that cunningham fuzz was out if this world. So much control and sweet octave but so clean and tight.
I have the chicago iron octavian, but I plugged it into the wrong adapter, and now I need to get it fixed..😢
Geweldig weer dit! Dankjewel!

Mythos Argo is the best. It works equally well with humbuckers too.
With the Argonaut where is the fuzz coming from and is the Argonaut before or after it?
Dominion. I thought I put a text in there. Fuzz is after
I'm still using a Voodoo labs Octavia I've had for almost 20 years, does the trick with a little overdrive or fuzz!
I really needed this video ⚡️🤘🤓
Child labor, lol. I have the King Tone & Argo and love both! Great, fun vid as always.
Thanks for this !......but what about the Jam Pedals Octaurus ?

Octaland for me 😎
Dan Drive and Mythos Argo sound best to me!
Damn, you scored a Tychobrahe!😮 Sweet! Also, once you have the time let me know your shirt size!
The Austin Blender definitely has those Bramhall tones!

I like the TwinSound - Octave - I have expensive taste - 😭
Is Roger related to John Mayer?
Yes, he was his stepfather. John took his name so he could get free pedals
No Blue Box or Octavix??? 😢
For me, nothing beats the tried and true Boss Octave. Love it
Reeves is strong!
