- We have been pounding out the motos on the east coast with the 24' KTM 450 FE. I will walk you through quickly on some of the things I have learned/noticed at 14 hours on the orange brigade Factory Edition. From engine delivery, chassis updates, bolts backing out and everything in between. If you're looking for a more in depth update, listen to the RMATVMC Keefer Tested Podcast on iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts.

Thank you for another good, informative video. I’m a huge fan of your podcasts and articles that you write. You put in the time and effort and your articles and videos reflect that. So hi to the family and please, please more “Coffee with the Keefers” it’s the best podcast…..
Thank you for giving me permission and telling me where to leave a comment, Kris.
Anytime, man. 😂
More keef-goodness! Cheers.
Excellent review this is the kind of info prospective buyers need.
Keefer keeping it real.
Thanks for another informative video! Great to see you riding east coast dirt with green grass and trees! KTM sure makes 60hp easy to ride!
Do love a sfx 👊🏼
My bolts came loose just like yours. Lost one bolt. Beautiful
Good Movie
Well for the chain slack we might be able to get people a bit help so they can set it more according to what does give the most rip..
The Keef
Very informative thanks Kris! I have a question tho, if you had 14k, would you buy one of these or a yz450f with mods to equal 14k?
Thanks for the video I was waiting for, but it's normal to tighten all the bolts on a new motorcycle and regrease everything
You think it’s “normal” but you’d be surprised. 😂
@@Keeferinctesting Obviously it would be weird for me to lose bolts, but on my new bikes I have already found completely loose bolts, on the Kawasaki and the rear shock for exemple
I have a 350 sxf and it is a beast. Almost too much to handle without experience.
You should come race some east coast races.
Im sure its an unpopular opinion but for $14k Id expect the stock suspension to pretty darn good for more riders . The bike looks insane but adding 6500 kit or similar will add another $1500 -$2500 to the bill, and I can't see used market embrassing super expensive used machines after 3-4 years of ownership
Kris, will the chain slack measurement also apply to the same year 250sxf FE?
Yes sir.
I own an xr200......can i fit modern forks on it? .......i have 1984 xr350 forks on it now or are you too young to know that and i should ask Jay.......im 64 and want the forks to work good out in the woods......thanks
Might be a question for Jay.
Do you think 350 with a little bit of love could compete against it ?
Absolutely.
What area of GA are yall riding in?
Hour from ATL.
@kkeefer165 Awesome, I'm an hour from the ATL, and that's still a little too close for me 😆 I hate that place. I'm in an area in North Ga that Boarders TN and NC. I'll keep my eyes peeled for yall Cali guys. I'm supposed to go visit my nephew in the marine that's stationed out there, and I look to hit Glen Helen and Fox Raceway ! This is a bucket list kinda thing for me. I hope to run into somewhere along the way👍👍
interesting you say this bike vibrates.....is it annoying enough that you had to bring it up?
It’s more than any other bike besides KX so it’s something to note if you’ve never ridden a steel frame bike. But once you ride it for a day or two it becomes normal and you don’t notice.
Spend $14,000 and it is necessary to spend additional funds on the forks?? I don’t get it.
It just depends on rider but riders do purchase 14k FE and then get 1500 spring conversion. Let’s hope KTM goes spring soon! Bike noticeably had more front end feel in deeper dirt with spring.
@@Keeferinctesting the 2025 will no longer have air forks thank goodness, thats why I am holding out for 2025 FE
no air forks for that bike in 2025 which I am happy about
Poor Adin has allergies?
😂 Guess so.
Oh sweet. Another expensive factory edition with shitty air forks. Where do I sign
Yeah well the air forks are the only forks that a variable enough that people don’t complain that it’s to hard not hard enough it feeling flimsy. Going to fast in or not fast enough out.
