I’m guessing I’m not the only one who would like to know, but are you planning on releasing any new footage. I for one would love to see how you’re hay business is going. I have already watched most of your old videos. I appreciate the ability to watch them again, and I have been but I also would love to know what is going on with you currently

I may not 100% agree with your views and beliefs but I appreciate that you've always been pretty honest with your audience. Thanks for that.

Has it been 8 years? Seems like yesterday I watched that video.
I bought one on the basis of your video and another You tube channel. It is the best thing since sliced bread. Not put the hours on it like you do but it has saved me a lot of time and always does a perfect cut. Need to get a new blade.

Nice to see you uploading again Chuck. I’ve missed your videos. I’d really like to get one of them but I can’t justify the price when I already have a grinder. Maybe one day I’ll be able to thwart the cost. It sure would be nice for doing metal roofing and siding. I don’t have the balls to run metal on my regular circsaw. That guard and chip catcher are awesome.

I have a regular circular saw with a Diablo metal cutting blade. I also have an Evolution metal cutting circular saw. There is a difference.

I tried to cut some one inch thick plate with one of those, the plate was ten foot long and I had to cut along the length. I got about a third of the way in when the internal stresses caused the plate to pinch the blade so hard that I had to cut the saw out with an oxy fuel torch.

Any thoughts on the cheaper versions. Such as the evolution multi material saw? If you didn't have the tools you do would this be an early purchase or would something else for cutting metal for fabrication come first.

Hi. What is the RPM on the saw? My instruction manual says 3800 RPM. It seams to me that is really fast. A metal cutting chop saw turn like 1800-2400. Thank you for a good review.

There's nothing better than a right side blade. Anyone with common sense should know that using a right blade side makes way more sense. Here in WA state, people will only use a "worm drive" Skillsaw for all types of cutting.
But you have to pay attention to what happens when you're a right handed person, and you make a simple cut. Your stock to be cut is mounted to the left, or held with the left hand, and the large foot plate on a right blade saw, also points to the left, and sits properly on the material.
The part being cut off, is out on the outside of the saw, away from the body, and falls away from you. The foot plate on a "Side Winder" right blade saw will remain perfectly flat, even if you are cutting little "nip" off the end of a board or square tube.
A right blade saw is magical, because of the inherent rotation of the blade, and the design of the guard, and the relationship of the guard to your body. As a result, the saw will actually project the sawdust violently away from your body through a clever "dust port" which is built into the guard.
But if you use a left blade saw, the inherent design of the guard means it's not possible to have a proper dust port. Left blade saws just create a big cloud of dust, and instead of the dust being pushed away from the saw, it continues to swirl and mulch the dust, in a big tornado of dust around your body.
A left blade saw is not actually a saw, it's just a creator of fine dust.
The point is, if you're going to convert a circular saw into an metal saw, using a regular asbestos based abrasive wheel, it might be better to use a right blade saw.

Instead of dumping the chips in the trash or scrap bin, collect them until you have several pounds and send them to me. I'll put them in a canister and forge weld them into a solid billet of "Modern Damascus"
