Howdy Gary! Great saw! I have had one for years. That was needs to be used slow and easy. It will cut about anything. Always set blade depth to just clear carbide to thickness of metal you are cutting. Be safe and God bless you!!

Its possible that the pieces were shifting while you were trying to use the saw. That will instantly bind a saw of that style. Old carpentry trick is to clamp it or nail in the waste side to lock it together. Might work still if you clamp it tight so they cant vibrate and shift. That saw made a pretty nice cut.

I see you've got your metal cutting pants on this morning. Good job.
I use those saws exclusively for cutting off metal like that. Too bad HF doesn't carry theirs anymore. It was a great bargain. But you can find the identical version on eBay for pretty cheap.

Id always try to use some kinda straight edge/speed square clamped to piece your cutting with these kind of saws, no matter how smooth a free hand cutter one might be I think side to side movement is dulling out these blades to soon and coast to much to halfass it.

The machine was drawing some power because each time you started it up the lights dimmed. Seems 3/4 inch or 19mm is a bit thick for cutting and 1/2 inch or 13mm will be desired limit. Wow, that steel plate certainly it thick.
Good video. Side note the machine cut the thick plate although the machine may overheat on prolonged cutting and may have a safety cutout. Did you experience that or is that only the cordless have the safety cutout. Thanks for uploading. They cut accurate and beats using a friction blade or angle grinder.

it one ich thick you let the saw cut at it own pace nice and easy 2 minutes to cut 1" looks like a foot wide no mess, surprising part not hot, smooth

Noice. We have one as well, don't cheap out on the blades when you get one. We did and they suck. Worth the for the stock endurance blade. Also, clamping a straight edge helps a lot. One last thing. Avoid letting large parts fall as the cut finishes, because if they hit the blade on the way down they are liable to break a tooth or three. That's where how our first blade died. They'll still work with a broken tooth or two, but when you get a few in a row it just breaks the next, then the next and so on.

How long is your extension cord?? because the saw would have a lot more power if you didn't have so much cord.. it probably not getting enough amps??

I think a work bench with a slot fo cut along so both pieces of metal lay flat and doont get chance to pincer the blade would help. I thing you have found the saws limits

Nice saw! I mean really! I bet if you clamp some angle down extending out to the end of the saw, you will have an easier cut with no bogging. I see your tip is 85 amps, is that the max of the machine too? You've probably said it at some point in all the vids, but I must have missed it.

You walked out the door and I'm thinking you could cut the car. Then again that's not a good idea. I just got a metal cutting cold cut saw and Milwaukee recently brought out the cordless version of this saw. Anyway, back to the video.

Not what that saw was intended for. The sparks are carbide get broken off the blade. If your cutting metal thicker than 1/4" make multiple passes. Liked the video though thanks.

Waaaaaaay too long of an extension cord for what you were doing. The voltage drop and amperage drop severely affected you saw and after a period of time will burn out your saw if you continue to use it with a normal extension cord. Very nice cutting job in spite of the limitations put on it. I suspect it would do both pieces if you had a proper electrical supply. I noticed your light flickering each time you turned the saw on...
