Amazing adventure! What do you think was the problem of breaking? car preparation? very hard ground? driving? or mix of everything? Thank you for having the courage to do these things, now some of us dream of doing them!
Def hard ground. But def stock suspension setup is not capable of handling the heavy things like this. Instead of adapting the base setup it would be better to gut stronger and longer suspension. So with the setup we had we probably drove a little too rough, if we didn't drive it like a Porsche maybe we would have had less trouble 😜
Did you guys have to disable a lot the computer functions? After a few trips in Morocco with friends in modern Land Rovers (me in a Landcruiser) we had loads of "computer says no issues".
Is it hard to get parts for this car? Looks super cool. When the car first came out I wasn’t huge fan but your lift kit and light bars, beefy tyre etc makes this car look super cool. I want to have one myself when I get rich
you have different options for parts, thats ok, the Porsche Dealer stays super expensive, so a good toolbox and doing most of the work yourself will help a lot!
Love it. Should the front bump stops be lengthened to account for the spacer lift to prevent the problem from happening again ? What an adventure glad you guys where able to do it. The truck looks badass with all the stickers and entire package

guys didnt push it to the limit, sadly. they coulded be victorious..why next time, the car was fine after the repairs..youve come so far to give up at the final stage wtf? if it was a money thing, that i could understand that..
The suspension wasn't made for the heavy stuff, it was driving but couldn't handle heavy impacts. Mostly the decision not to drive the last day when we could have, was because we had to drive the car the next day across half the country, to catch the ferry and then across Europe. We wanted to avoid having to arrange transport for the car and ourselves. We've learned in rally that the limit is always money, in every wealth category ;) It was all worth it in the end!
@@FrankFramesThings understand. But you could fix it again after the ralley and take another ferry..surly not garanteed to finishing it, but then there were no excuses to make. Still proud of u guys..
@TheKaventsmann there were no excuses ;) it's easy to judge something from the sidelines without knowing the full story. Ferry was booked, the car was imported exceptionally through passport for the event, so had to make that specific ferry to not get into a administrative mess. As you can see finding parts for our car took already days and lots of searching as it's a very unusual car in north Africa. I would suggest experiencing it for yourself ;) but i do appreciate you interest and comments. Thanks bro
@@FrankFramesThings wow, na i understand now why you didn't take the risk. But you could risk it, it sounded like you hadn't an option. But you've right, its easy to judge without knowing all the details.
Song at 0:00 to 0:16 and 5:40 to 6:56 ?
Had fun following along. Thank you, "It's all about character building".
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the support!
Great video Frank, lesson there even better.
Thanks
These first gen Cayennes are really starting to prove their build quality.
I’ve a ‘04 turbo Cayenne with 153k miles and it’s solid as day one.
Saving up to get my own one day!
I have a 2008 Cayenne S 4.8 V8 with 190 000 kilometers and still going strong
Good effort guys, I hope that you'll bring the Cayenne for another rally🙋
I hope so too!
Bloody brilliant!

It's pretty easy these days, plenty of Porsche parts shops ;)
If you’re in the US? You have two great options with parts/kits. Both EuroWise (North Carolina) and Forge Motorsports Overland (Florida).
Love it.

Mm good point, the bump stops are on the shock though.. actual bumpstops would be more ideal i think. And stronger shocks
Great series! Question for you, did you find yourself wanting any more power from the V8, do you think the Turbo would of been any better? Toby
power enough TBH. but you can never have enough?
No need for a Turbo on this car, the V8 is very powerful and I think more power the car wouldn't handle right.
No..I have a ctt and gets hot playing in the dunes 😢
I want to see more of this
Coming ;)
Hoe krijg je zo een cayenne gekeurd in belgië?
