Next time you should air down. Would help a lot with crawling these rocks. Nice Videos. Love that some people know how good a porsche cayenne or vw touareq could be. Greetings
Awesome. I wonder if there are no front lockers available, perhaps you could use a line locker and modify it to turn it on left or right. Seems like when the wheel is in the air it's really hard to get enough power to the planted tire. Perhaps locking the unloaded tire would help.
Fantastic video! I just bought a 955 Cayenne S. I plan on very mild lift and some gear, mostly just for camping but this is truly impressive for a luxury SUV! I'm feeling the footage too. What are you guys shooting on?
Why do the 955s make a high pitched whine as you increase the throttle? The 957s either don't make that noise or make significantly less of that noise. Very noticeable in 5:24 with the 955 trying to get across the rock compared to the previous 957s. My 955 S has the exact same sound and noise as I increase throttle.
I’ve noticed it’s pretty common on these vehicles. My T2 Touareg V6 makes the same noise yet everything seems fine. If it was a Ford it would be the power steering pump but it’s not and it’s not. Best to just ignore it and move on. lol
It depends on what you are looking for tbh. We prefer the air suspension vehicles, because we love how they drive on road. With our lift you can also get a more comfortable ride off-road with the extra air volume as opposed to a traditional puck lift.
We have since installed a CSF radiator in Warthog, that has helped the recovery time by nearly 25%. We have another version of this radiator dropping in the spring that will have increased cooling benefits as well! Keep on the look out!
Turbos have way more shit to break and strand you. But nah you can get the rear locker in both and all of the first gen’s had low range. Might have higher load capacity in the base motor since it’s lighter.
Respect where respect's due - these are genuinely challenging trails and Cayenne were truly impressive here.
The articulation on those rocky sections is insane
These videos are excellent, I only wish they were longer and you guys talked more about the trails.
Notes for the next big trip. Thank you!
Great video! Love seeing those cayennes off road
Holy shot is right! Throttle control clinic right here! 🤙🏽
Jeep : we own the off road
Toyota: we never break
Porsche : hold my beer !
Awesome! Thanks for sharing! Way to stick with that one where it was slipping, but turning left and right got you the win!

That was wild :)
I thing Cayenne will be my next car...

Impressive wheelin. . . for a Porsche
Those things look cool but man do they have the articulation of a pontoon boat
😂😂😂 indeed
They use the 'Send it and scrape' strategy. Ha!
Why does it need it..they made it

Also, how comfy and quiet is a Jeep on the highway?
Pretty challenging to have both extremes on the one vehicle.
So, if any particular vehicle makes the trail, who gives a shit about articulation? It either made it or it didn't.

My 955 S also does this

Power steering pump getting old.
Yes, in this case it is the power steering pump!
Great content! If you are going to a lift upgrade, are you better getting a Cayenne without air suspension?

sounds great! @@BergPeaks air suspension is really great, and on g1 cayennes it's strong as well.
@@BergPeaksagree..I much prefer the air on my s then the coilovers on my turbo
❤ what size is the wheel???? and do you have spacers? What ???
Which Cayenne, they all have different sizes.
Based on this video, leaf peeping was easy 🤣🤣🤣
how to maintain the coolant in a good temperature , what kind of mods that you guys done?

thanks for your reply@@BergPeaks
Is this a mix of turbo and na Cayennes? Any advantages to either or for off road?

Any tips on how to pick one that isn't going to screw you with bore scoring?
My friends had a gen 1 turbo, check oil in coil pack
Generally speaking we haven't seen bore scoring issues in the 955's and after 2009 they seem to drop off dramatically.
are those engines 3.2 VR6 or 4.0 V8?
V8
turn the wheels straight....
