      The homeless population has grown in the last two years, but you should be totally fine. Things are kinda spread out in the minnehaha area, so I’d suggest a car or Uber. I honestly have never used public transport in Minneapolis, since I have a car already. #1 thing to do before all else is realize it’s very dangerous.
    #2 don’t go near the guys sleeping on the benches in the park she’s at. They likely have serious mental problems and are armed with knives. When I was a teen we used to ride our bikes down the steps at Minnehaha Park. Now you can’t go there after dark. Don’t go to any park after dark.
    3) keep your head down

    • @CherayaMiyoko
      @CherayaMiyoko  3 года назад +4

      Firstly, thank you for watching! And to address your concerns, like all major metropolitan cities there will be some amount of crime, however in 2020 Minneapolis didn’t even make the 100 most dangerous cities list. I also don’t know anyone who would go and wake up and bother someone who is sleeping. And it’s not really fair to assume that just because someone doesn’t have a home that they have mental issues, especially after covid. And I would never recommend exploring a new, poorly lit, secluded place, alone at night.

    • @notsofast5495
      @notsofast5495 3 года назад +3

      @@CherayaMiyoko well. I’ve seen first hand, several times, innocent people walking by a park bench at that park where a homeless person was sleeping. They didn’t intentionally wake them up but the guy jumps off the bench with a knife or acting crazy. It happens a lot there. I’m just giving people a heads up because if naive people just blindly go to where you recommend without knowing the area it could be very dangerous.

    • @billhicks6449
      @billhicks6449 2 года назад

      @@notsofast5495 that's a lie. I live out a few blocks off minnehaha park around 45th and 44th. I grew up in the neighborhood. If I do see homeless people around they certainly aren't trying to sleep on the park benches around the entrance to the falls in the middle of the day time lying in wait for unsuspecting visitors. Who would ever do that?
      If you walk like 3 blocks east down towards the Mississippi and a block into the river road you'll find a house that's been there abandoned for like 80 years. That's where the homeless go to sleep in the daytime. That or down on the river around the dog park road (which used to be called Bear @$$ road).
      Why lie?
