  • Opening day of the 3rd season rifle hunt in Colorado. We were a unit we hunted last year and things were just as good for us this year as they were last - maybe even better.
    We had an incredible adventure and made memories that none of us will ever forget.
    Enjoy.

    Well done Bryce, honestly helping call those shots in. Man, that's pretty cool that you met the guy that killed that MONSTER of a buck! The buck you guys harvested is still a FANTASTIC buck! Well done and GREAT job!!!!

      Thanks Tony. I think it’s critically important to remain calm in shooting/hunting situations. It can be very easy to let our emotions get the best of us and cause us to not perform like we are capable. The Beaver was able to do just that. He was using my rifle, so he wasn’t perfectly familiar with my gun and how it shoots. But, we got it figured out and he killed a fantastic buck. Thanks again man. Take care.

    Nice buck and nice effort staying on him to finish it. Maybe take the first shit broadside next time because i think the first shot was good and would have dropped him if he was standing broadside

    • @BMCBryce
      @BMCBryce  Год назад

      I agree with you 100%. Sometimes things get rushed and mistakes are made. That shot was not ideal. I’m happy that the Beaver was able to close the deal on his buck and the buck didn’t suffer much. It’s not always perfect when hunting. But we owe it to our quarry to do our best to make the best shot we can, so I agree with everything you said.
      Thanks for the comment. Take care.

    What GMU was this in? On public or private land?

    • @BMCBryce
      @BMCBryce  11 месяцев назад

      All public. It’s one of the units you can draw every year as a non resident with 0 points.
      I hope you can understand why I’m not going to just say that which unit this hunt was on. I have had to work hard to find the animals on this unit - for years. So, with all that work, it makes sense to guard that information a little bit.

    Great job Kayden

    • @BMCBryce
      @BMCBryce  Год назад

      Yeah!!! Great job Kayden. You didn’t even know that you had killed a deer. Let alone, what it looked like when you walked up on the wrong one. Had no idea how to track a wounded animal that had been shot twice from 150 yards - IN SNOW. Great job Kayden.
      Clearly, you must be one of Kayden’s friends. Obviously, the story he told you doesn’t match up with reality. Too bad the real version was recorded. The confusion that took place that morning was one sided. Kayden didn’t know he had killed a deer, thought he had hit this buck and was standing on our buck when we walked over to him.
      Great job Kayden.
      Not even close. Better luck next year Kayden would be a better way of putting it. Without us, he walks off that mountain that day without knowing he had killed an amazing buck.

      Yeah, we got our selves a cow in churches park. Just 25 minutes outside of Fraser. We looked at that burn area down from the road, but it looked pretty inaccessible. Couldn't find a buck worth shooting.

    Wait for broad side shot?

    • @BMCBryce
      @BMCBryce  Год назад

      Yeah, the first shot wasn’t on camera (I wasn’t recording yet) and it was a miss - just over the buck’s back. So the first hit was actually the second shot. I know it wasn’t an ideal angle, but things can get a little hectic sometimes. It wasn’t perfect, but we got the job done. No excuses.
