- In this video, we tell you everything that you need to know about the new 2022 Honda City eHEV hybrid. We drove it for a brief time to understand it's hybrid technology, to evaluate if this can suit Indian conditions. This one gets a 1.5-litre Atkinson cycle engine along with a two motor battery setup that makes it the only hybrid in its segment. The traction motor alone is capable of generating a maximum power output of 107PS and a peak torque of 153. Though the usable combined output of both petrol + electric motor is 126PS and 153Nm.

As expected, product is out but quite expensive..Honda got a fair chance with this product to capture good percentage of cust. in sedan segment but I think they lost the opportunity by price the product very high...

We use to own 204 honda city diesel... That car was so great but due to bad roads & frequent travel to hills we switched to an SUV scorpio.......
Now my dad misses the city.... & we may buy this in near future

B Mode is for regenerative breaking and it is used for charging the batteriies and not for more efficient breaking while you are going downhill. Why would a car come with 2 modes of breaking i.e. less efficient breaking for plane surface and more breaking for hills? Breaking should always be as equally effective at all point in time while you are driving. Seems you were too eager to post the video.

Nice review, but I think it is a complicated presentation. Ideally the experiment should have been controlled, with specific modes and camera permanently fixed to record the Engine modes at various speeds and load. Thanks for the review, hope the information can be presented in a slightly simpler manner next time around.

Great job Yogiji. Honda has to price it well to compete with Slavia & Virtus. As the German twins offers 1.0 & 1.5 TSI Engines with better Torque figures & increased Ground Clearance.

At a price difference of about 6L on road in Bangalore, and an assumed mileage benefit of 6km a litre one has to drive 380,000 kms to recover the difference at current petrol prices, forget the cost of money. So sorry Honda this does not make sense :-)
