- In this video, we test the new 2023 Honda City petrol CVT automatic's mileage (fuel efficiency) both in city and highway. We drove it for over 100Kms with almost half the time in city to understand if it has become better in terms of fuel efficiency and other attributes. The 2023 Honda City has also received a new base trim - SV, whereas the earlier base trim V now has ADAS level 2 features as well. The City's eHEV model has also received similar updates including the new blue colour.
The looks of CITY are getting breathtaking with each facelift.

I drove from pune to noida, ~1566km, 5th gen, automatic, petrol, AC on all the way. It showed mileage of 17.4kmpl which is awesome!

First of all, ethanol has a low energy density. This means you have to burn more fuel to get farther than the usual petrol. Consequently, it will take a toll on the average. Resulting in more trips to the fuel pump. With skyrocketing prices of fuel, it will be icing on the cake for govt.
Secondly, there could definitely be some vested interest. Ethanol is a sugarcane product. So this nexus can be fostered with the E20 knocking in.
Wouldn't be wrong to say this is a very ill-structured policy that has fascinated the enthusiasts' attention.
But isn't ethanol cheaper???🤔
India already has a sugar mafia. Almost all the sugar mills are owned by politicians, they also handel the ethanol cartel. This will be a great benefit to them considering the on paper debts of sugar mills.
Don't know if the decision was taken keping the above in mind tho
Ethanol is made in India so dont have to rely on arabs for import

My City is giving me 20 kms + on highways , 10...12 in city in normal conditions and in dumper to bumper traffic its giving 8..9 kms p/liter. Have been driving since last 2 yrs this V model prior to this new updated design. Pura PAISA VASOOL BOSS :)) FIT HAI

The density of the fuel is so good (above 800 g/l). I have never seen 770+ g/l in my town.
actually it is worst, petrol density should be within 715-780. If it is more than that, it means some heavy solvent is mixed e.g. kerosene which has density of 775-840.
@@PravinTTT yes absolutely right , 710-770 g/l is the ideal density of petrol in 15-20 degree celcius temperature .
If higher than that means their is mixing of some solvents like kerosene

Bhai aapne jab fuel dalwaya toh e10 tha ya e20?? Kyunki 96 rupay per litre show kiya video mei aapki, aur filhal yeh price toh e10 petrol ka hai.. toh mjhe bas yeh poochna hai ki e10 or e20 ka ek hi price toh nh hona chahiye shayad??
I don't know about new city but I have been driving Honda City diesel for last 6 years and all I can say is its fantastic I wanted to buy Verna but my father suggested city and I must say is perfect even I don't want to switch it it's riding handling milage is mind blowing Honda City 💖

City and amaze has same diesel engine.but city petrol has engine which is way more performance than city diesel you should have bought city petrol cause it is known for petrol

You seem to have used Eco mode in city drive which is ultra sluggish. Eco is to be used on highway on cruise to extract best efficiency however using it in city is boring.
I didn’t find it sluggish to be honest at least with the CVT. It worked flawlessly
Eco delays immediate torque delivery and gear upshifts are quicker. I have never felt any issue in city drive.

Yamuna expressway is not good for mileage. I have noticed that mileage comes better on tar roads then concrete rods
why are you getting confused with profile and width? Width has nothing to do with puncture.
Bigger profile means higher side walls, and more rubber something that helps tyre getting damaged in some situations (especially compared to the low profile ones). Honda City’s tyres are infamous for getting damaged on the side walls and frequent punctures. Hope that clarifies the confusion.
