Laziness? He was known for being unpunctual, not lazy. He used to do several movies at once, hence couldn't reach on every set in the committed time. The clip in this video where that guy is saying that Govinda ne time ki kadr nhi ki, watch that full interview of him. He recalled one incident in that same interview that once they waited whole day for Govinda but he didn't come, and when they were leaving the sets they saw a crowd had gathered in a nearby set. Out of curiosity they went to see who was filming there and it was Govinda. He was shooting for another film in a nearby set that whole time 😂

I think in Sridevi's case, her stardom never faded ,as her last film in 1997 was superhit (judai), and post marriage also she got big budget movie offers like mohabbatein, baaghban, shakti, veer zara etc , but she voluntarily took break of 15 years. And when she made a comeback with superhit english vinglish, she became the only actress to make a successful comeback which reaffirmed her star power among audience even after such long break, and then again she came with mom movie, which did descent buisness . so i feel her star power was intact throughout.

i feel like the tone of ajay devgan was about the fact that they have been doing movies for so long that they have forgotten about real life balance at all, because as you said for normal people, the reason that they have to work till they are old is to survive and earn money but these stars have so much money but why are they still working, as a normal person would retire and follow their hobbies but these stars have worked on movies so long that they don't have a life outside of movie sets and feel extremely uneasy sitting idle, so they do these movies not only for money but because they want to, one example of this would be surgeons who continue to work long hours till retirement even though they have a lot of money because that's all they know and have.

When an actor enters the industry for what we stereotypically define as ”stardom”, it reflects their shallow personality. Wanting to be famous, unhealthily obsessing with audience approval and letting yourself become larger than your craft will negatively impact your impression within your peers and audience.
That’s why in recent years, audiences are falling in love with smaller OTT stars. They bring humility, ingenuity and talent into their work - and that’s refreshing!

i still dont understand why producers are giving movies to Akshay. He takes the money upfront, out of 6/7, hardly 1-2 movies become a hit(not even a mammoth hit too) and then bro joke about it and say '4-6 nhi chali to kya hua'. these days, even OTTs are refusing to buy his movies. I mean 0 strategies still after soo many losses. take the example of his next release. His movie has no chance in front of Stree-2, still he is releasing his movie in front of it. Maybe delay a couple of week, it might work, but in front of stree, does he really thinks he will have good numbers? we already know the trend based on advance bookings. The only hope he has is now cop universe, but that too loosing its charm now.

I don't know why we collectively give so much importance to Bollywood .. we all forget to apply the concept of high risk, high reward . Actors just like all of normal humans experience ups and downs and utter oblivion . so what's different if it happens to them sometimes? We all keep trying to keep pace with our latest skills in our jobs/careers, we all also constantly make decisions on what's the next best career move and sometimes some decisions do go wrong or even worst perhaps destroying careers.. actors take high risk and earn high rewards.. no need to glorify their struggles while same things happen to all of us normal folks anyway all the time ✌🏽

No, Aishwarya was always known for her looks and never her acting skills. She used her looks to latch onto Salman Khan (even when her own parents openly opposed their affair because he's Muslim) to get better roles. Then his domestic violence led to a drama-filled breakup, she used Vivek Oberoi to whiteknight for her so she could keep getting roles, and cashed out her looks before they faded to marry Abhishek Bachchan. For this she was willing to do anything (she's a mangalik according to her horoscope, so she first had to marry a tree and do all kinds of rituals before the marriage) only to be disrespected by the Bachchan family at public events like the recent Ambani wedding.

I don't think experimental movies are inherently bad. Personally, I want the superstars like Shahrukh and Salman to work in experimental roles and take risks. They can afford to take risks which young actors can't afford. The problem with Fan, Zero and Tubelight was that they were bad movies. A great actor can't save a film if the story, script and writing is bad. There were multiple problems with the script of Fan and Zero. Tubelight was the remake of a Hollywood film (Little Boy, 2015), but the writers made so many changes that didn't make any change. It was a bad film. The mistake these superstars made was choosing bad scripts, but they shouldn't stop experimenting.

i think its because at the time Amitab was already over taken by guys like Salman, srk, Aamir khan, sunny deol, Anil Kapoor and etc... right now nobody has over taken Srk or Salman, guys like ranveer and Ranbir are still stuggling to over take them.. so back then people were ready and wanted to see young guys replace Bachchan but now the audenence are just not into the new guys...

@@jalal3254 but there's a natural factor as well that nobody can be always perceived as young. The way SRK is represented in Jawan and Salman in Tiger is just too unrealistic and stupid with these so-called "larger than life roles". I think the audience was mature back then and now the audience is just cringe and uneducated, and this is why content is lacking.

Amitabh bachan is such a smart person. And more importantly he's always been aware of the fact that one superstar will be replace by a newcomer. But he also knew that by doing such versatile roles in his movies he would be relatable to the audience and also that's how you become a legend. That's way more higher than a superstar. Shahrukh, salman and amir are superstars but Amitabh is considered as a legend because over the time period he has played such relatable roles in the industry that even now at this age he has an impact on the audience
