    Amongst all the reviews I've read about City e:HEV, this is the most comprehensive and the best review so far.

    This is a fantastic initial review explaining the tech behind hybrid and the fuel efficiency. The pricing is going to be key for making a decision. I have test driven both Slavia and City automatic and decided to wait for the hybrid to make a decision. Slavia is superior on driving comfort and braking but definitely expensive for 1.5L litre and the fuel efficiency offered. Pricing the Hybrid around 18L exshowroom will be very competitive.

    Very good review. At last somebody showed us clearly that there’s a petrol tank and it’s consumption rather being silent about it and talk as if it runs only on rechargeable batteries ! Thank you overdrive and rohit

    Brilliant review by Rohit. I wish a City cvt and City diesel were included in this hunt of fe in urban traffic. It would have given a real prospective about the difference e:HEV has to offer. 19.5 kmpl for e:HEV, 14-15 kmpl for diesel city and 10-12 kmpl for City CVT is my guess

    Thanks... Loved this review.
    I'm already liking this City.. a lot ! Unfortunately, at around 22L on road, it's out of my budget.
    That's why the last line - "Hybrid Jazz" sounded so sweet to my ears. 😄

    Very nice video on hybrid Honda for city drive and highway drive with CVT ,Safety,Comfort and Elegance and still comparable in buget with EV,SUV or Diesel 1.5 engine cars.Honda,s driving comfort is top notch and maintenance not more when you compare with similar german brand cars.So value for money even in Aug.2024.

    Nice review by Rohit especially explained technology for lay people like me
    I saw backseat belt were put on is that means this car has back seat belt warning too? ( Which is good safety feature)
    And ADAS too Holy Cow ( as u mentioned cow)
    Feels little expensive but will recover money in running cost.

    These are the kind of cars manufacturers should be bringing to us, and should have been done years ago in the wake of emissions. Now that Honda started with an "Affordable Full hybrid" (fanboys please, not pure ICE), companies are to follow suit. A great alternative if you are concerned about range, emissions and EVs being deficit of range. If it can push 20kmpl in a petrol car, with AC in Bangalore traffic, you are in luck mate.

  • @furiousninja133

    Its not for those looking to save few thousand, its a premium offering for people who are looking for a refined and effortless driving experience. Good fuel economy is just an added bonus. I feel demand for this car will be more than what Honda has anticipated and that would definitely result in a price increase. So at current price its a very VFM car.

    I am getting 19 kmpl in my new Honda City Hybrid. Have been driving it for approximately 1 month within the city with the a/c . Rear camera could have been better and a better set of music system keeping in mind the 23.39 lacs on road price tag . Also the interior could have been better. Hard plastics and faux leather are another issue . It can get pretty noisy when it is pushed hard . When loaded the suspension is not soft enough.

  • @SuperAkashrana

    Its a good proposition as its frugal and at the same time has good performance to offer. Indeed the hybrid system and ADAS will push the prices up and Honda should have offered later as an option which could have helped pricing it well. India needs custom built ADAS which can cater to Indian road scenarios better and the current crop is just pushing the prices up without being useful 90% of the time.

    In technology Honda is far ahead of its competitors like Maruti, Hyundai and Kia. Even in Japan Honda brand is more reliable than Toyota, Nissan.
    Honda never compromise with safety. It's car always gain 4 and 5 star in NCAP rating. Honda is giving air bags since starting of in its car. Honda never allowed their cars for taxi. If anyone used Honda cars for taxi then Honda suspended the warranty.

    19.64 is easily achievable on Ciaz and Ertiga with its mild hybrid. The problem is that this City will cross INR 2 million on road. Doesn’t justify the huge jump in price from its counterparts. It’s not like city is mild ahead in build quality. On top of that, the loss of boot space is another sore point.

  • @ravishankars6707
    @ravishankars6707 2 года назад

    Why would I buy this at 19.5L ex-showroom and then pay road tax ? Why not just add bit of more money and go for MG ZS EV which will save even more ? I wonder if the complexity of full hybrid is justified for its price premium. On a highway, a this hybrid and a regular 1.5 will have almost the same mileage. It will make a difference only if mostly driven in city.
    For India' a regular 48V mild hybrid is the right choice. If Suzuki could get a small edge with 12V mild hybrid, then a 48V mild hybrid would give the right balance between the added premium and fuel economy benefit.
    The asking premium of 4L above the regular City is not worth IMHO.

    At a price difference of about 6L on road in Bangalore, and an assumed mileage benefit of 6km a litre one has to drive 380,000 kms to recover the difference at current petrol prices, forget the cost of money. So sorry Honda this does not make sense :-)

    Why don't companies declare prices already, when they can give the car for a review? it is not that this is a start up company. May be they hope to sensitise people towards why they are going to charge exorbitantly for the product. Speaking of other models, looks like Honda in getting ready to leave the country looking at their portfolios and the balance sheet.

    I don't understand this

    • @avirupjana8165
      @avirupjana8165 2 года назад

      Exactly, even if diesel is scrapped, Suzuki petrol cars like Dzire, Swift and Baleno provides same mileage without such complex technology 🤷 and roof touching price. 20 lacs for a city is a waste of money for buyers who are looking for mileage for their runabouts would rather buy Suzukis if diesel is not their priority. Not to mention the maintenance cost of such hybrids are high as well. Someone Shelling 20 lacs for a car just for mileage will be quite rare.

    • @basirkhan8926
      @basirkhan8926 2 года назад +2

      IMO diesel cars have high maintenance, less refinement, more taxes, dpf issues in bs6 engines, more polluting than the petrol cars and less registration years.
      Hybrid cars will have a feel good factor, good torque and mileage.

    • @avirupjana8165
      @avirupjana8165 2 года назад

      @@basirkhan8926 given the current price it's definitely not a mass buying option and only limited to the rich who can afford to experiment with something new. This technology needs to be cheaper. FYI a Suzuki petrol car gives almost similar mileage without such hassel of batteries. This hybrid would have only made complete sense if the mileage was somewhere around 35 to 40 kmpl.
