Yes yes yes & YES!! I experienced this 6 months ago, I have a 7 year old a 5 year old, a 3 year old, a 1 year old AND A 6 month old. Those first few weeks are crazy, but once everyone gets back into the routine it doesn’t get easier it just gets more manageable. Oh and now we’re expecting baby #6 :) so wish me luck!
One of six here. Grandparents are awesome to have whenever a new baby comes. Not only do they watch over you when Mom and Dad are in the hospital, they can stay longer when baby comes home to help. Cook, clean, bedtime stories...helping you adjust to a whole new person in the house because you're totally not jealous... If you don't have any grandparents to call, reach out to a good friend or family member. The first days are really hard because you have a real, brand new person in the house and Mom is *tired* after delivering baby and building a schedule with baby. Be patient and feel free to reach out to those that love you because they *will* come help you and stay longer of they can.
I know I’m going to come back to your channel when me and my hubby are ready to have kids. It stresses me out to think about but even the small tips in the vids seem doable and realistic. I can’t believe how big your family is & how you can maintain it all! A beautiful family & team!
Well the first rule you should pick up from these channels is to not put your kids on the internet because most images predators use to get off to are the harmless videos and images on the internet publically published by their parents. We're getting back to scrapbooks, ordering prints and getting minors faces off the internet.
I’m 28 and single but I really hope to be a mother one day. It seems like so much work but watching you juggle 4 kids and a newborn is so inspiring. I’m also glad you mentioned taking time for yourself and doing your skin care, etc. Self care is so important especially for new mamas. You can’t pour from an empty cup so I’m glad to see you making time for you.❤️
When my mom had my younger brother, people brought over meals and would offer to watch us even if she was just running to the store. Our house had burned down about 3 months prior so people knew we needed the help but it just helped so much.
I am so glad I don't see negative comments. So often on videos with lots of kids, especially when people have them so close together people feel the need to share their opinion. I am the second of five kids my mom had in about 6 years and it makes me so upset when people get mad about it cause it totally can work
I brought baby number 3 (in 4 years) home this past weekend. So many snuggles and then wanting to touch her face while she's nursing or sleeping 😂 I'm so thankful our church set-up a meal train and I was able to freeze meals before I gave birth. My husband is many things but a chef isn't one of them! Haha congrats on your newest bundle of joy!
The minute you get home to your kids with your new baby you realise it is going to be fine. It feels like you've always had them. With my last baby born at the very beginning of lockdown it was such a beautiful time in our home. My husband was able to work from home thanks to covid so he was on hand to help out a lot more than before. The kids werent at school. The bonding was so special. I cherish those years. My four children seem so much older now three years later. And we don't plan on having any more so that last precious few months with my kids and a new born will always seem extra special to me.
I needed to watch this today. I have an 18 month old & I’m pregnant with my second. I keep thinking, HOW am I going to do this 😭 but you make it feel much less intimidating ❤️
What she was gonna say was you will lay down but be awake the rest of the night either feeding, wondering why they’re crying or checking their breathing when they’re fine and sleeping lol
My amazing mom, mother in law, and all my sisters in law always made sure to bring us food, take the older kids out of the house for a few hours, and just they would even come over and help with chores like sweeping up and laundry. Our 5th is 4 months old now, and we got into a new routine pretty quickly, but having all the love and support from our families was always so important and necessary.
My husband and I got in an argument every time we came home with all 3 of our kids. So many hormones, stress, nervousness, tension, anxiety…just a bad mix! Thankfully we got it out, apologized to each other and carried on!
We have post natal care for a whole week (or more if needed), at home. Some body cones to your home to help with everything, including the dishes, laundry cleaning and cooking (and taking care of the other Kids). Wish it for everybody in the world to have acces to it
The moment I found out I was pregnant, I instantly told him I will be showering every day. Like I’ll sacrifice almost anything about I’m gonna need those 10 mins .
I had my daughter in 2015 the car ride home wasn't too bad. I had some anxiety. Then I had my son in 2022 and that ride home was way different. I had THE worst anxiety. 😫 it was not fun having that kind of anxiety.
I know this is old, but I just have to say, SO FEW PEOPLE TALK ABOUT PAPER PLATES!!! I've recommended them a couple times as part of a postpartum gift basket and almost nobody acts like they're a good idea. I'd rather cook than do dishes. Lol
Thank you for making these videos they have really been helping me. My kids are 10 and 7 and we are having a baby in March and I am out of the game and I am a basket of nerves!! The refresher def helps me feel a little less lost 😆
Girl you got this! I had my first 2 kids back to back then 8yrs later had my second 2 back to back. After that 8yr gap I was terrified! When I went into labor it happened so fast like only 3hrs fast! By the time I got into my hospital room I was sitting on her head. In 2 pushes she was out. It's so amazing how horrible the pain can be but as soon as you see them it all melts away. You got this mama!
I ask for prayers foe my daughters and I. We would like to be continuously together. When we are together it's beautiful When we are apart my soul is lost
Routine, routine, ROUTINE! Trust me, following the same routine that you do at bedtime as well as nap-time and when they wake during the night will help give your baby the cues they need to go to sleep once down (obviously your routine will be unique to you and adapt as you see fit). Having a warm, dim light source that you turn on only at bedtime will help with that routine. Try to avoid nursing to sleep if you can - it creates the wrong stimuli for sleep as they'll think that's what's the cue for sleeping, even if they're not hungry. Obviously, feed at the appropriate intervals but try not to let her sleep while doing so. Putting your baby down when they're drowsy BUT NOT ASLEEP will also help with that because their body is in the process of falling asleep so they're less likely to be awoken by movements during sleep, I.e. putting them down, and being able to see that they're falling asleep in the same environment as they wake up in less disorientating for them
She has a bazillion kids and still takes a shower and does her skin care routine. I had one baby and wanted to take a shower a week after birth...my mom said "I'm not watching her while you shower, you're a mother now, you don't get to shower"
Can you make a video about gifting used toys that were not cleaned and sanitized before given to you…. Like the thought is nice, but that actually ends up being more work for the parents, because now you have to clean the toys. Maybe that’s just me, but I think other people could agree.
Do you use a pacifier from day 1? I'm wondering how that works because in my country they advise to start using a pacifier in week 6 because of breastfeeding
Wow! So how many are you planning to have? Your husband seems to be a wonderful helper. So many young couples are having big families these days; I love it 🥰
This is ridiculous. You need time for you to heal right after birth. More time in hospital or resting by yourself. You haven't even had a chance to clear the anaesthetic! No wonder maternal mortality rates are high in your country.
If you look into the cause of maternial mortality rates in the US its those women who 1) dont attend doctors appointments like they are suppose to, 2) dont follow the things the doctors tell them such as eliminate caffeine and salt from your diet when you have high blood pressure, 3) they refuse to take the meds prescribed to them, and most importantly 4) they will not attend post birth appointments.
One less child on Earth means less food to produce, less energy to spend, and most of all, it's a whole life of consumption and impact on the environment
