  • Recipe
    1 1/2 cup sugar
    8 oz salted butter
    6 eggs
    1 teaspoon almond essence
    Lime juice from half lime
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoon baking powder
    Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour, depending on your stove.
    I used an 8-inch baking pan because I love the height of the cake, but you can use a 9-inch or 10-inch baking pan.

    My grandmother used to use yard fowl eggs there is nothing more organic then that lol, guess we had it good then lol

      Yes, yes! That is what we grew up on back then. Them eggs were the real eggs. We had lots of fowls, and my cousins and I had to collect them when they lay. Gosh, how I miss those days.
