I have got to stop watching people's Japan videos. The food is KILLING me! I didn't know anything about Nagasaki but enjoyed learning through y'all's video! 💜

I can TOTALLY empathize with that!!!!🤣 We honestly didn't know anything about it either before we arrived (outside of what happened during WWII) & left with the impression that we were JUST getting to know it. It's such a nice city & I can definitely say we'll be back. Thank y'all so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!❤️

I was in Sasebo Bay many years ago and have fond memories of that beautiful place. Nagasaki is not too far from there, thanks for showing the museum and other places remembering that atomic bomb that we dropped during WWII, hoping this never happens again especially with everything going on in our crazy world lately. Take care and thanks for your fantastic videos. 😍

    • @ProbablyLost

I just googled Sasebo Bay and mannn that’s a gorgeous place!!! I hate we missed it. I totally agree with you though. These events can’t ever be forgotten and the museum does a tremendous job showing the toll that the bomb took on the city. It’s certainly a place I’ll never forget. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video Eddy!! You’re the best!!❤️❤️

An anime called "Iroduku: World in Colors" is based in Nagasaki. The city is beautifully presented. I suggest everyone to eatch it once. You will love it its a really underrated Anime

Climbing those stairs looked tough. I have climbed up a few mountains in New England in my time and up the Round Tower in Copenhagen and the Bunker Hill Monument in Boston Massachusetts, as well as Ribe Cathedral in Ribe Denmark, so I felt your exertions as well as the exhilaration when reaching the top and drinking in the breathtaking view(s). Hello again from Aarhus Denmark. Looking forward to your next stop in Japan.

😅 we definitely earned some ramen with those steps. I don't know if it would have been as bad if the humidity wasn't so high! It got really muggy and hot very quickly. The views made it very worth it though! In our opinion that is the best outlook in Nagasaki and definitely worth the hike to any of the lookout points in the area. Thanks for watching our videos! 😊

This video brought back memories of when I lived in Seoul...the 7-Eleven stores and "The Alley" bar district. Those museums look absolutely beautiful! And I couldn't help but think of a little tune (Party All The Time by Eddie Murphy) when Hannah said she would eat ramen all the time..."Ramen all the time, Ramen all the time, Ramen all the tiiiiiime." And now that I have dated myself...looking forward to the next video!

It’s so funny that you mentioned Seoul because that’s actually where we are at the moment! (Our videos are a bit behind real time😅) We’ll have to check out the bar district! As for that song, we both know EXACTLY what you’re talking about😂 We can’t wait for you to see our next few videos!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch❤️❤️😊

@ProbablyLost Oh...and "back in my day" Itewon was "The Alley" bar district, and it was where I learned to drink from "Das Boot" from a German bar owner. Good times.

Man, I can't tell you how great Nagasaki was! Obviously there's an important bit of history that was a big reason why we made our way down there, but the rest of it is certainly worth the trip as well. We had the best ramen of our lives there🤣 Thank you so much for watching our video!!!

Thank you so much!!!! What's funny is, the whole way up to that lookout we kept asking each other 'Is this even worth it?' Every single time one of us asked that, the other said we needed to just keep going. We did that about 5 times each🤣 The moment we got up there though, we both were like 'Yep! Totally worth it'! LOL. It was such a fun day. Thank you so much for watching!!!❤️

Thank you for showing us around Nagasaki. We might just have to put it on our 'Next time we go to Japan' list!
P.S I lived on those iced coffee cups from 7/11! Not life-changing coffee, but it certainly does the trick when you're on the go!

I feel the same way about going to Europe: there's a sense of obligation to go see Holocaust Museums, concentration camps, etc. It's not "enjoyable," but I feel I owe it to humanity to confront myself with the realities of the horrors that took place far, far too recently.
Regardless, another great video, thanks for posting!

I could not agree with you more!! We did the same when we were in Krakow (Auschwitz) & Phnom Penh (killing fields). These topics are so uncomfortable & honestly don’t make for easy content to make because we try to keep very positive on our filming days, but we just can’t gloss over them. They’re so important to remember. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video & for leaving us kind words. It seriously means so much to us!!!❤️

Why didn't you go to the cathedrals? Nagasaki has a far longer and more interesting history, including its interactions with the Portuguese Jesuits, that you have sadly overlooked. Please see Scorsese's film 'Silence' and read the novel.

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  11 месяцев назад +1

Thanks for letting us know!!! We honestly didn't visit any in the video because we didn't have a TON of time to hit everything we wanted to. We walked over to Urakami Cathedral while we were there but it was on the day we didn't film. We definitely recommend anyone who has time in Nagasaki to check out the cathedrals though because they're certainly worth the visit. Thank you for taking the time to watch our video!
