    Yessir
I've collected water off of a
    similar creek bridge.
From my experience I've learned to use a decent diameter rope and a gallon bucket instead of the 2 gallon
i started with. Lot easier making repetitive dips and
    doesn't tire my elderly hands
    as bad.
    Thanks for the video

Slide your Larkshead to one side of the bail and the pot will tip to fill as soon as it touches the water. The weight of the full container will make the knot center when you are retrieving it.

Just in case anyone is here looking at this sort of content for the first time: don't simply drink water you collect this way, especially if you can't see it before collecting or it is from a cave or mine. It could have bacteria, chemicals, heavy metals, parasites, silt or particulates (especially if you must forcefully dunk your container to fill it). Even if it seems clear and has no odor, filter and boil to be safe.

Had my share of mis information from those trying to sell their fancy looking multifunctional products that under performs, a waste of time. This channel saves me $$. Glad I stumbled into this with the corprals recommendations one gets a sense of security of not being hood winked from those wanna be.

Thank you for your service and for your videos. I especially appreciate you taking the time to show us how to make the knots and all of the information. Even though I've read survival manuals over the years, there is nothing like watching someone perform the skills. Keep up the good work. You are doing great!
My biggest problem is knowing which native plants are edible. Most of the pictures in the survival manuals are black and white and I really cannot determine what is safe to eat. When things get rough, I will need the skill to forage for edibles. I hear there are a lot of weeds that we take for granted and throw away. Weeds, weeds, weeds everywhere. Which ones are edible (specifically in the southwest US).
