I WISH YOU WOULD DO WEEKLY UPDATES ON YOUR TRUCKS AGAIN. I'D BE INTERESTED IN SEEING WHAT YOUR STILL ABLE TO GET ON YOUR TRUCKS COMPARED TO LAST YEAR WHEN YOU DID THE VIDEOS. THE RATES WERE AT A ALL TIME HIGH THEN,... NOW DOWN 25-30% THE WAY I'M SEEING IT RUNNING 8 TRUCKS
Dealer charged me 16k for this on a Detriot 14l 2007. That included a new head and a new egr system. I think the labor was at 40 hours if I remember we right. I hate not having my own shop to work on my own trucks.
Once you go through a complete tear down like this, find the problem, fix problems, how many miles does it last before doing another head gasket? If you do lots of head gaskets on caterpillars, what do you see the most common reason for blowing a head gasket?
I been truck driving fo 10 yrs. I'm looking into becoming an OO. I've been talking to a broker authority from DAT solutions. They told me I can bring in 5,000 a week and be home on the weekends, is that true or do you think they're miss guiding me just to get me in? If you or anyone can help with this question I will really appreciate it? Great video. 👍
It's p9ssible to bring home about that kind of money and be home every week, but it also depends on the type of freight you are hauling and always be sure to but aside some money for whatever breaks. Put away at least 20% of your net income towards the truck so that you will be ready for anything
Ok let me give you an advise, I have 3 trucks, 2 freightliners 2012 and one 2000 FLD, and i can't stress this enough, do not get a modern truck that has EGR or DEF.
@@lonnieblackwell9215 the old trucks regardless of the make and engine, are all bulletproof, parts are cheaper, and a lot more simple to fix, can fix them yourself if you want to save money on mechanic labor
Love how quick you guys work!
Thanks, for sharing this videos!! Keep them coming!
You know things are getting done when the red Dixie cups are broke out ;)
Waiting on the new power tour vid's. Can't wait to see the old mopar on the ride .

I'm wondering were you losing coolant some where? I have a 3306 head off and thought the leak would be obvious and it isn't. Still looking.
I have 1.2M on my C15 it has excessive blow by, going to start looking into inframe options.
I've done this but I can't get the truck to start I need help priming the fuel system
I camt belive a car engine hoist can lift a truck head your awesome
That's what I thought when I started asking around the shops that do this work around here.
500lbs as he stated be the weight of average small block engine

Gcal1956 I did it all out in the driveway on my Cummins just wrap everything up with plastic and wd40 to prevent surface rust
I hope you removed the oilers before pushing the pistons out... its very easy to damage them trying to get the piston out
What was the milage before the inframe?
1.4 million

Can last 1 million miles easily if maintained properly.
Liner protrusion is the primary reason
