Hello, No. Our UV LED roll-to-roll machines do not have the capability to limit curing on clear ink or primer, (primer is not available on roll-to-roll) which is required for this application.
Primer is the best option because of it's sensitivity to the range of UV curing light. It may be possible to find a similar combination with clear ink. To find the best "recipe" for your machine and environment, we recommend printing small blocks of varying clear ink density from 10-100% and testing a few prints with varying curing lamp intensities from about 30% to 60% to find the best combination for your machine and environment.
Hi, I've been trying this on our UJF 3042 MKII but for some reason the foil doesn't stick to the primer as well as you show in the video. I thnik maybe the foil I'm using might not be correct for some reason. Can you tell me the kind of foil you are using in the video?
Good job!!
Would this process work well if you’re doing a reverse print, such as the back side of an acrylic piece?
Theoretically, yes. The order of printing would stay the same.
Hello, can the same be achieved on Oracal PVC roll using UCJV300? (obviously by laying it on a flat surface after printing)

Can I achieve that kind of effect without primer?
Bcoz my 3042 mkii is only with White/Clear and CMYK only ?

Can you guide which type of foil this cold or hot and micron of foil
Hello we advise using a hot foil. Also, a rivet brush can also be used for a different look.

Hello. Heat Transfer Foil is what we recommend.
This is a special foil?
